Epic is gigantic, a big, big love for me! One of my signature scent for over a decade, and that should says everything! The spices are nearly devoid of sweetness although there is the most fleeting of citrus and berry notes in the first few seconds that keep the top notes from being impossibly dry. Very well blended, so somehow what could have been a complete mess instead, achieves coherence and beauty! The incense is among the first notes to come up and it adds a dark smoky accord, then the pink pepper, cardamom, cumin and all the other spicy notes that closely follows the incense are not completely distinguishable among them but they create a warm, aromatic and welcoming spicy accord. Then comes a few moments of magic as the heart notes arrive with a minty, green geranium showing up out of nowhere to provide a cool breeze before the myrrh appears to hint at the base and it's oud/incense notes. The patchouli is barely noticeable in the dry down, and are some animalic leather nuances, accented by pronounced, somewhat skanky natural oud and beautiful smokey incense. The leather adds a dry, clean-leather accord; finally, the musk and castoreum act like a boosting note, without making the fragrance pungent or too animalic! This is a very complex yet finely directed orchestra. If you love complexity and understand how to judiciously apply a powerhouse fragrance and to choose appropriate times to wear challenging scents, then Epic Man is as good as it gets! Well I finally bit the bullet and finally ordered a bottle of what people call the Blue Beast that came out in 2012. Also they say the one made in UK doesn't last that long, I can't confirm this, from the Oman release that I have. So, let's check this one out. Top notes in Amouage Interlude are Oregano, Pepper, and Bergamot. Heart notes are Incense, Opoponax, Amber, and Labdanum. Base notes are Leather, Oud, Sandlewood, and Patchouli. Well, one of two things with this one. You either love it, or hate it. In my case I love fragrances that are unique. I have another fragrance from the 80's that has Incense as well. It lasts forever on the skin which is awesome in a fragrance nowadays. I can say mine lasts for at least two days on my skin. The Oregano is really strong but blends in nicely with the rest of the fragrance. I would recommend this one if you like being unique and smelling different from others!

The aromatics in this scent are incredible. It's sweet, yet bitter. Heavy, yet invigorating. This isn't something that can be worn in most office settings as it'd be overpowering to some, but it's a great signature scent for everything outside of the office. The Oud and Rose combination always pleases, and the extra notes inside send it to a different league. It didn't last crazy long on my skin, maybe 4-5 hours. It does last nearly all day on my clothing. Expect it to project a foot or two from yourself. The only reason I can't consider it perfect is because it would come across as too strong and offensive to some. Other than that, I love the scent.

As the first men's fragrance by Amouage, Gold Man set the scene for just how revolutionary Amouage's scents would end up being.A completely new theme for a men's scent in the early 80s, Gold Man bears a close resemblance to Chanel No. 5, at least in the opening stages. But do not be fooled by the development of this scent, which is so drastic, it could easily be classed as 3 scents rolled into one.The opening is full aldehydes and florals. Jasmine makes an early appearance whilst slightly veiled by the aldehydes, but the rose that introduces the middle stages takes the scent into a completely different direction. It's almost as if the Chanel No. 5 has been spiked with roses. Older bottles had a nuclear civet note from about the mid point, which contrasted beautifully with the rose. This has been neutered in more recent bottles, but the overall aldehydic, soapy, floral-musky accord is largely still intact.A scent that is sure to turn heads (sometimes for the wrong reasons), it is one that simply must be sampled thoroughly before committing to a bottle. Ladies should not be afraid to wear this one, as it is largely unisex, perhaps leaning more to the feminine side of the spectrum.

To achieve its complex layers it moves through some rather challenging musky low animalistic notes, before the rest emerges with its sensuous spicy top notes.I've found it needs 1/2 hour to mature to something splendid.Layering it through the day works well, even though it is strong, because the settling musk with your own body chemistry/scent is what gives this perfume its powerful kick. It is a dark sensual. The epitome of a spicy oriental perfume.I am still not used to it yet, so I have found layering it with Amouage Gold (which is a classic. You could also use chanel no.5?) I bought this in mid-May 2023.This is my first purchase of a $200+ fragrance.I've never owned an "expensive fragrance" before, but I have a good sense for quality, have sampled 40-50 of them, and know what I was looking for. I had some expectations after reading tens of reviews online about this scent. But Amouage just blew my expectations out of the water!My reference point was "Creed Bois duPortugal" - that is the best one from that brand. This was my first try of a luxury fragrance house - and I couldn't be happier.Although, I asked around in online forums and they said - Interlude, Epic 56 & Beach Hut (from Amouage) are better. NOT WORTH THE HYPE!

I have read many reviews and watched youtube videos regarding Jubilation XXV perfume. A little less than OK scent. Last normal (~3 hrs) but I AM NOT IMPRESSED!! Bottle looks great however, I am more interested in turning heads with the aroma. Not worth the price or advertisement for a 25 year anniversary special. It appears as if they put less oil/aroma. It's like going to a bar and being served watered down alcohol from the original bottle. You can taste the alcohol but notice it lacks strength! Better off with Sawalef line, Swiss Arabian and Khalis or Afnan line.

This Is not a starting choice for a very young man, but for the mature man that is aware of different fragrance notes and what he likes. It is best suited for the man who first chooses a scent that pleases him, but also not wanting to smell like everyone else or wearing something likely to be disliked and offensive to others. Interlude is typical of the House of Amouage's high quality products, where a small amount projects high quality ingredients and lasts through the entire day. Part of a complimenters remarks to me was that it smelled expensive. I have noted that quality in the twelve Amouage and three Marly parfums I have tried so far.
