I absolutely LOVE this iPad! I only paid $359+ tax! I got it when the new iPad Air came out in September. It is now mid-October, so I have been using & loving the device for about 6 weeks!When I purchased the device, it was part of a sale on the mini for $399 from $499. I tend to skip some generations as I dont feel the need to upgrade all the time. The previous models were work horses and provided me many hours of entertainment in games and videos. This ipad 6 is similar. I really love the size, and the weight of the product. The ipad mini 4 had the front bottom circular button, and the onoff switch on the top right hand corner of this device is reminiscent of that. I do like the touch ID. The jelly scroll everyone talks about, while not a huge issue, I dont think it should be that noticeable on this device. I compared both the ipad mini 4 and this ipad mini 6 side by side, and it was significantly worse on the ipad mini 6. 2. When I have the screen off and press on the screen, theres a screen pressure distortion that is quite noticeable. I had actually purchased two ipad mini 6 and the other one I had to return because the screen distortion spots were really bad. they showed up with the slightest pressure. 3. I dont know if anyone even uses the today column anymore. Its the column that comes up when you left swipe the home page. You can put a bunch of apps on it. But it is glitchy. I called Apple and tried to figure out why its glitching and how to fix it but honestly they said the today column shouldve been removed and was a remnant of an older iOS when we couldnt use widgets on the home screen. Which makes sense to me, it does seem sort of redundant with the ability to put widgets on the home screen. Yet... this feature is still there last I checked with iOS 15.6.1. 4. As I used this device more, I noticed sometimes when I had the keyboard sound on, the keyboard sound would be extremely loud and then soften as I type more with it. At first I thought it was me, and I had left the sound on extremely loud, but no. It wasnt me. It was either the sound board malfunctioning or the software being weird. I do really like the ipad mini 6 for, size, portability, ease of use. The build quality has taken a hit though, Im not sure if its due to covid and supply shortages or what. But Apple needs to keep up its game and not let quality slip. I put I recommend this item, but only because of the positives I stated.

I just got my 64GB Space Gray from Walmart for $459 and I have to say I freaking love this little tablet! I am actually downgrading from the 11" iPad Pro to the Mini as I now have a 16" MBP, w/ it's gigantic screen, and really just use my tablet for reading the news and watching YouTube in the recliner or in bed (for which a smaller/lighter tablet is far more comfortable). Here is my take away so far:1. The jelly scroll is a thing (particularly if you go looking for it) but only while scrolling in portrait mode. So gonna cough up the extra $150 after all for what I'm sure will be "too much space" haha. Oh well, can't upgrade it later I suppose.3. The new Mini is plenty powerful, has a beautiful and bright screen for a Non-Pro model, lightweight in the hands, semi-pocketable, supports Apple Pencil 2 wonderfully and seems to provide similar battery life to the full size iPad models and comparatively good quality and loud enough stereo audio as well (Still better than iPhone 13 Pro). Also, the CenterStage FaceTime camera provides excellent HD video quality and automatic tracking like the iPad Pro which is even better than using your iPhone. The 3:2 aspect ratio of the new Mini (as opposed to 4:3 from last ten and most other iPad lines) makes for a wider display which means narrower black bars top and bottom on 16:9 content. So basically, even though this screen is technically ~3", or 25%, smaller than the iPad Air/Pro 11 it certainly does not feel that much smaller. A very clever space optimization very akin to what Apple did shoving the System menu up and out of the way into the notch bar on the new 14" and 16" MacBook Pros.Aside from my first 2 nitpicks above, overall I am quite pleased with the Mini and, though it surely is not the best bang for your buck (Regular iPad has got to be the best value for many and iPad Air
I just bought an Apple iPad mini 6 64 gb from Best Buy online as a certified recondioned unit. I am not complaining about how quickly it arrived, even though it arrived before I wanted or scheduled it to come, nor am I complaining about its "okay" capacity of 64 gb. I bought it be an Apple version of an Amazon Kindle e-reader so 64 gb is more than adequate for that purpose. I would have to say that I was greatly disappointed y the Aople iPad mini 6 and feel that two stars is being too generous.

When I purchased the Ipad Mini 4, it was around the 400 range. Now this device is 650. The data did double from 128gb to 256gb, but still, 256gb is awful knowing that we can get 256gb micro sd cards for like 20 bucks. I wouldn't have minded the price tag IF the device worked well and the quality was good, but it doesn't and it isn't. There are a few issues with both software and build quality.1. The jelly scroll everyone talks about, while not a huge issue, I don't think it should be that noticeable on this device. I compared both the ipad mini 4 and this ipad mini 6 side by side, and it was significantly worse on the ipad mini 6.2. When I have the screen off and press on the screen, there's a screen pressure distortion that is quite noticeable. I had actually purchased two ipad mini 6 and the other one I had to return because the screen distortion spots were really bad. they showed up with the slightest pressure.3. I don't know if anyone even uses the "today" column anymore. It's the column that comes up when you left swipe the home page. You can put a bunch of apps on it. But it is glitchy. I called Apple and tried to figure out why it's glitching and how to fix it but honestly they said the "today" column should've been removed and was a remnant of an older iOS when we couldn't use widgets on the home screen. Which makes sense to me, it does seem sort of redundant with the ability to put widgets on the home screen. Yet... this "feature" is still there last I checked with iOS 15.6.1.4. As I used this device more, I noticed sometimes when I had the keyboard sound on, the keyboard sound would be extremely loud and then soften as I type more with it. At first I thought it was me, and I had left the sound on extremely loud, but no. It wasn't me. It was either the sound board malfunctioning or the software being weird.I do really like the ipad mini 6 for, size, portability, ease of use. The build quality has taken a hit though, I'm not sure if it's due to covid and supply shortages or what. But Apple needs to keep up its game and not let quality slip. I put I recommend this item, but only because of the positives I stated.
