The app is a bit odd to set up since the set up screens use very small dark grey text on a black background - some text is absolutely miniscule on my phone - but once you have sorted it out it is OK although soe of the app text could do with being white rather than grey as well. I am also using this light to backlight old slides for copying with a close up (slide copier) attachment on my DSLR - it is ideal for this since it is supplied with a really good diffuser which sits away fro the screen - and with the bonus thy you know the colour temperature will be constant. It is quite heavy for its size - probably because there are 2 integral magnets which allow it to be mounted on any steel surface or object. The technology is being rolled out over the professional Amaran lighting range so this little light is a good (and relatively inexpensive) introduction to its capabilities. But if you just want a simple light without all these features and remote control of them it is a more expensive option.

The first one I received would not charge past 53 percent. So I returned and just got another to test. I like everything else about it: power output, variable kelvin, dimmer, size. Perfect eye light for run and gun. The rubber chemera works well to soften. The small belt pack works for me, easy access for hand holding when running a ronnin.

Amazing little light packs a punch!

I love this light, it's super bright and the magnets help place it on any magnetic surface! The effects are awesome, I use the fire one a lot at a lower intensity to give the vibe of a campfire. The colors are so vibrant and I love the fact that the increments for intensity and saturation at 1%, it allows for greater control. Also, the Sidus app lets you make your own effects!! Better light than I thought.

Overall I'm surprised by this light. the other reviews were accurate and helped me know what I was getting but it's actually brighter than I thought it would be. The negatives I would say are that the scroll wheel is not as responsive as I would have hoped. It takes two full spins to go to the next menu item. The wheel also feels too thin like it could break but I have had no issues yet. I am also unsure how it would hold up to a fall or any accidental damage. Given all of that I would still reccomend the light. It's a good enough price and reliable enough product that I will probably get a second. Good little accent light

Very powerful, very bright little light. I appreciate the USB charging capability and the accompanying diffusion filter. Definitely best suited as a little accent light - not powerful or large enough to work as a key source. Very portable, though - it's super easy to throw this in a bag just in case. I was surprised by how useful the magnet on the back was. Or rather, I was surprised by how many things in my home were magnetic - it was easy to pop this on to something quickly for, again, a nice accent. The accompanying app is also great.

Great for the size. Underpowered for anything at a distance. Not user friendly.

This light is great, there are just minor things that prevent me from giving it a 5 star. It's not a very strong light, especially when using the diffuser. However, it was exactly as expected, given the size and specs.The minor annoyances are in the interfaces. Because of it's size, there isn't much on the display, and navigation is not incredibly intuitive. Once you get familiar with it, it's not too bad. I am a fan of the Sidus link app, but it's also not user friendly, at all. Once you get it setup, the amount of control, the presets, and the effects are all great. Only mini in size

The MC Mini is only mini in size. Its light output is more than enough for what I needed, and it's incredibly convenient to use (thanks to its size). It's easy to charge, and the magnets on the back make it that much more versatile. The silicone diffuser looks a bit funny on the light, but it does such a good job that it's impossible not to like it.

The Apurture RGB LED light

The Apurture RGB LED light is a powerhouse of performance yet comes in a tiny size. The nine built-in lighting effects offer some great variations on the style and aesthetics of the shot. The mobile app works like a charm with the color temperature and can help you achieve a distinct visual look. The Sidus Mesh network also is a great addition when it comes to controlling light sources. All in all, this is a must-have kit in your gear toolbox.

Wildly Versatile. Absolutely worth owning at least one.

LOVE this light and everything it can be used for. Not only does it work great for replacing practical lights, but I've even used it as a key light mounted near a boom mic to add catch light and balance strong overhead sources. Most common usage is to create an accent color in the background.

Wow. Just wow.

I must admit I was hesitant to buy this cause I've purchased a few "lights" in the past and they were poo, however not this one! this exceeded my expectations by a long shot! SUPER easy to use to change settings (just hold down the dial) and boom; you're good to go. I'll be using this for influencer photography and product shots on the go! It's so small that it's easy to be carried anywhere. Thank goodness it comes with a case cause that's super helpful. Woohoo, I'm excited to use this.
