Very cold bags, haha. I use these all the time. Not entirely sure what makes them a "freezer bag" though? If anyone knows, please leave me a comment But these are great bags. I've never had a heat seal on the bottom fail on me, or have a bag tear (at what's usually the most inopportune time, lol). I must admit I don't often use the twist ties. I find them too fiddly, and much prefer a quick airtight seal I can get simply by twisting and tying a top knot, or using a bag clip. I appreciate the option of them being there, but at the same time I already have 3 or 4 of these strips in the kitchen drawer doing nothing, haha They're a good price and sometimes use these in the school lunch bag because sometimes ziplocks and cling film are simply overrated. A Household Regular. There's nothing quite like that feeling of receiving a sample that you buy all the time! You know you're going to love the sample and the household budget is smiling. I always have a pack of these handy freezer bags in my kitchen drawer. They are perfect for portioning bulk-purchased meat, using as shaker bags when coating chicken, storing partially used vegetables (I'm looking at you, pumpkin) and keeping in the toddler's backpack for messy emergencies. Although quite thin, these bags are robust enough to stand up to life in the freezer. They don't tear or break, no matter how full my freezer is. Outer packaging is RED-cyclable. Made in Thailand. I cannot go past the value and performance of this product, so will continue to purchase. Thanks, Bunch!

Good Freezer Alternative. I generally shy away from plastic bags wherever and whenever possible now so usually use containers to freeze anything I need to. However I gave them a go. Very cheap which is the first plus. Size-wise they are very generous. Not sure I'd call them medium, more like large, but that's a bonus. Don't need to buy large ones becasue these can cover most options from small to large very easily and without the need for lots of different sized products. They seemed quite thin, but no different to other freezer bags I've seen in the past. However the thinness belies how strong and durable they are. No issues with any tearing or holes. The second plus was that by removing the air and sealing them the bag takes up heaps less room in the freezer than if I'd put them in a container. With such a small freezer that we have this definitely helps create more room and better air flow between frozen products to save the freezer icing up when over-stocked. Haven't used them for long enough to see whether less or no freezer burn but so far looking good with no ice crystals inside the bag. Overall the price, size and convenience means these get a big thumbs up from me. I would probably not buy them very often but the ones I currently have will come in very handy and help when I don't need a large container for smaller items. I like the idea too of using them to help portion items so they don't stick together in the container and are easier to separate and defrost.

Good Value - Single use. WOW lovely vibrant blue packaging, you can't miss these. Silly me always looks for the best way to open bags/packets keeping contents in tact. Saw the 'tear here', so I did - only to stretch and not break then I saw the perforation in the middle of the bag DOH and it goes all the way around to the back so they're super easy to get out, one at a time. Great size, not too big. Work very well for what they were designed to do. I usually buy Multix so I compared them both and to my surprise they performed the same. I thought these Armada bags would be too thin and fragile - not so! If you're freezing something more robust or prickly just double up on bags, they're certainly cheap enough. Good as go betweens in the freezer too. Nice to see the ... MoreGood Value - Single use. WOW lovely vibrant blue packaging, you can't miss these. I will buy these in future, from me for their value (hopefully they will come in a smaller size as well one day or maybe one packet containing the 2 sizes?)The only criticism I have of these is where the 'tear here' is written. I would like it to be along the perforated line

It is a plastic bag. I do buy this brand of freezer bags in the small size, so am quite familiar with them, though I haven’t used the medium size before. They are Made in Thailand which is preferable to being made in China, and is the reason I have purchased this brand in the past. I always go on about wanting products manufactured or grown in Australia, but for something like this, a non essential, a plastic bag, I am OK with it being made in Thailand, though obviously it would be preferable if a manufacturer in Australia could produce these from recycled materials - it’s a long journey from Thailand to Australia. The bags are bpa which you would expect for a product used for food storage. Recycleable? I don’t think so because the packet just refers you to ... MoreIt is a plastic bag. Although I recycle a lot I wouldn’t bother recycling a flimsy plastic bag even if it was recyclable. Some kind of “degradable” material would be preferable. These bags are fairly thin but would be strong enough for most uses and from memory, they are of similar quality to other brands. I cut the end off the packet before I noticed the “tear here” serrations at the top. My fault, but maybe a more obvious “tear here to open” might be helpful. I agree with others who say that it is difficult to dispense only one bag at a time. These bags serve the purpose, work well enough, and are handy for many uses despite being labelled as freezer bags.

Just as good as the big brands. So lets compare.... Armada is 1/4 of the price of Multix for the same amount, Armada and Multix are exactly the same size, maybe a little bit flimsier but nothing I would stress too much about. Gave them a stretch test and both held the same strength without tearing. Armada made in Thailand, Multix made in China - no surprises there. Both come with wire ties that I don't use. I look at these bags as a single use bags as I only use them for freezing meat and chicken, even if on the packet says film return to store in the recycling I won't be wasting water to wash them after the thawing process. So my verdict is - even if it comes at a cost - is I prefer the big brand as all 3 sizes hang neatly in my cupboard and are easy to pull off one at a time. As I have used these before in desperate times, I would highly recommend these Armada freezer bags as they do come with a great price tag, and do the same job as the big brand item. Would be good if they come with the hanger holes and then I would definitely make the change.

Staple in my kitchen drawer. I've been buying these freezer bags for a while now and am very happy with them. They are a fabulous price (why pay more!) and have never let me down. They seem quite thin when you first feel them, but I've never had one tear or break so they are clearly quite robust. They are also a generous size, so most items fit in easily and it avoids the need for a drawer full of different sized bags!I love the little 'half circle' opening in the top. It's easy to access and avoids the bags all falling out when you first open the packaging. The contents are still easy to remove one-by-one, so this is a definite winner for me. In my house these bags are used for freezing meat / fruit pieces and bakery items, transporting 'potential leaks' (such as yoghurt tubs, watermelon pieces in tupperware and fruit puree) in school lunchboxes and also did double-duty as bags for small toys when the kids were a little younger (beyond the 'put everything in your mouth' age). My only complaint with this product is the country of origin (Thailand). I would much prefer to buy a locally sourced product (this explains the 'lost star' in my rating). Otherwise, I'm really happy and will continue to purchase.

Such good value. This product came at the perfect time as I had made a large amount of steak pie filling in the slow cooker and needed to distribute it out into bags to put into the freezer. We have limited room in our freezer so I prefer to put the pie filling in a zip lock bag and flatten them out so they take up very little room. I used these freezer bags this time and tied the top into a knot. I noticed the twist ties, which I am sure will come in handy for other items, but in the case of putting it in the freezer a felt knotting the back was the way to go. The plastic felt sturdy and the size was ideal and once the top is tied in a knot I know for sure the bag is properly sealed, unlike with ziplock bags, which I learned the hard way in the past by thinking I ... MoreSuch good value. The price of these bags was very impressive, I was really surprised. These will be very handy to have in the drawer as I can see so many uses for the bags and twist ties. I also like that they are lying flat in the packaging so the whole thing takes up hardly any room in the drawer which is always a plus. I can definitely see these being bought again by us.
