I have these same shoes that I purchased a year ago, but in the Mist/Blazing Coral color. I wasn't a fan of the color I already had, but the shoes felt very comfortable for walking and running. I'm training for a full marathon and these shoes were a godsend. So I decided to purchase the same ones in the same size, but a more neutral color.Unfortunately, the shoes I received in the White/Black color are very stiff. Not as comfortable for running as my original pair and although I wanted to return them, Asics' return policy states shoes must be "unworn" with "all tags still attached to product". I was so confident in my original pair of this design and the fact most shoe companies allow you to test their product first, that I took off the tags. I will keep the shoes for walking and other workouts, but unfortunately not for running. Back to my old pair!

Honestly the best customer service ever from staff at the Boulevard. Tried shoes on in store but couldn’t get my daughter’s size. Had to order online but brought them back to the store and they refunded them and applied the 20% discount when I bought them back. Saved £17 thanks to helpful staff. And we love the shoes. Very comfy with support for pronation. My daughter loves these. Sizing is small.

I bough three pairs; one for me and one each to my daughters. They had the same model earlier and were happy with that. However, these new pairs felt like totally different model. The kids got nasty blisters on their heels and that only from walking in them! I bought mine for running and they felt really narrow in the heel and it took me about 30km of running and about the same of walking to wear them in. Has never happened to me before with any ASICS shoe (or any shoe). My kids just do not wear them as they are too afraid of getting blisters again.

When you are a size 12.5UK it can be tricky finding an Asics shoe that fits correctly. This issue is what drew me to this model initially as its frustrating trying to find a Kayano/Cumulus that works for me as I have to chose between a 12UK and a 13UK and neither size quite work for me.I'm glad I did - because this is a perfect shoe. I have slightly flat and medium to wide feet, it hugs and supports with total comfort. It's not so built up that it looks a little blocky. The new mesh hugs the toes without feeling restrictive at all. Fit is true to size with your normal running shoe, unless you have boxy square feet where I'd suggest you size up.I run in the Asics Glideride. Its the model that got me into running in the first place, totally revolutionised an activity I didnt enjoy. have to size up to a UK13 though. So I use the GT-2000 10 as my day to day walking/recovery shoe. Couldnt find a better option to do the job.If there was one criticism - ASICS! People like me have size 12.5UK feet and we need your help! Please can you update your stock levels and supply this size across your premium ranges because if you dont people will shop elsewhere. Always very limited supply and colour-way range. What about the Kayano? 12.5UK's dont feature much which is a shame. There I've said my piece.I love this shoe. I have no doubt you will too.
This is my second pair of GT-2000s that I have purchased online from Asics. I absolutely loved my first pair. The pair I recently purchased fits very differently even though they're the same size and model. They're smaller, very tight and the sole feels much more rigid. I am very disappointed in my purchase. I wore them a few times thinking they needed broken in but after weeks of break in time they leave my feet achy and my legs sore. After contacting Asics, they replied with a guide on how to purchase shoes that fit correctly and said they would pass on info to the development team. I was disappointed in the lack of effort to make a customer happy and get me a shoe that works. I have been a faithful customer but will not likely purchase from them again.
Great for balance and have strategically placed cushioning which is so nice when you run on hard surfaces or long distance, my feet are quite thankful for that. Loved these so much, my first perfect running shoes.Sizes got me confused though. When time came to change the old pair (size 38), it appeared that new ones size 38 were too small, and 39 were way too large, and 39 narrow somehow pushing on top of the toe, which so weird, as my old ones were just perfect. No problem, replaced with another model. Would still recommend these.
I have worn this shoe for over a decade. It is my go-to shoe. The model changes slightly with each new release, for sure. I ordered my regular size but with this change, the model has lengthened by a full half size. Taking out the hard shank for the stability that runs through the shoe has lead to this increase in length that I was not expecting. When I placed my order, the details on the Asics site did not mention the major changes to the construction of what has been the mainstay of stability in the Asics range. The GT 2000 is no longer the stability shoe it was. The changes have sacrificed stability for additional cushioning. My order placed in the UK was shipped from Germany for some reason. The GT 2000 is no longer the stability shoe it was. The changes have sacrificed stability for additional cushioning. My order placed in the UK was shipped from Germany for some reason. It took a full week to reach me, it was too long when it arrived, and I had to send it back and am still awaiting my refund. So, in the meanwhile, I have done 2 things: 1) bought the GT 2000 model 9 online elsewhere in my regular size because that shoe lasted me a full year and was just brilliant; 2) tried on the Kayano in a half size smaller --because the Kayano is now the stability shoe for Asics-- and I bought it. Discussing these two shoes in the Asics range with my local shoe seller in Sevenoaks, Kent, UK, we decided that the GT 2000 is still good if you only pronate mildly, but the Kayano is the go-to for major stability plus cushioning. Note that the arch has been omitted in both the GT 2000 and the Kayano. Not a big deal for me as I add my own orthotics, but, buyers should definitely try both before buying as neither shoe is as it was in previous models.
I bought two pairs, one for indoor use, and one for dirt trail use. The indoor pair started squeaking with each within a month or two. The manufacturer finally agreed to replace it. I hoped the one pair had a defect instead of the model having a flaw. About the time the replacement arrived, the trail shoes started to squeak. The replacement pair also developed a loud squeak within a few months. The shoes drive my coworkers crazy. The comfort is ok. My foot moves around in the shoe, especially with cross country use. I would prefer more stability within the shoe.
I used the old GT2000 series of the nineties etc until they were replaced by the GT2 and now the the new GT2000 series. Loved the old shoes and they never gave me any problems over many years. These new GT series shoes seem about on a par as you follow the update iterations. Plenty of toe room for my arthritic toes, good arch support and surprisingly comfortable cushioning on a run. Stability is excellent in controlling pronation. The shoe tread seems to have been more aimed at smooth road surfaces but still works OK on off-road work as long as it is not too severe.A good all-round shoe that works well without being over expensive
I’ve worn the GT-2000 for a long time, but hadn’t purchased a new pair for few years. I really like the way the shoe has evolved, in particular the more streamlined upper and the more minimalist look it provides. The feel is a great balance of cushion and stability. So far very pleased with this version of the shoe.Note for folks with narrow feet like myself: I sometimes get the narrow version, but because my last pair felt a bit tight I got the standard width this time. That was a mistake, but I was easily able to rectify it by adding my orthotic over the top of the footbed instead of replacing it. But be aware the standard width in this model feels a bit more roomy than older versions.
