Asus C3 1080P Webcam

This is a good value if basic, functional WebCam. It set itself up with no issues and the microphone and video are more than adequate for all routine uses. The flexible 'clip' rests easily on the monitor and is stable. I rate it as indistinguishable from the Microsoft LifeCam which was very much more expensive. Recommended - unless you have specialist requirements and know you need a higher spec it is absolutely fine.

Eyes everywhere

Easy to install and use. Gives a clear picture and sound. Can capture 2 folks sitting side by side, other than that there is no webcam movement.

Flickering Video

The webcam works perfectly 80% of the time, however occasionally begins to flicker every 2-5 seconds for around 10 minutes at a time. Otherwise, the resolution is reasonable, the fixture to attach it to my hp monitor is perfect and the wire length is good.

Good but not great...

... unless the Microsoft driver is causing an issue. I purchased this to use video conferencing on my PC rather than use my Asus Android tablet. However, the picture quality falls far below that of my 5MP tablet camera. I think this is just a 2MP sensor which gives an OK but "soft" image. Audio was fine. My wife has claimed it now as it's better than her Asus laptop camera. Overall dissapointed the webcam didn't produce a better image. Scan's service was, as always, excellent. Ordered late one afternoon and turned up early next morning.

Great cam and mic.

Got it for $99, great deal in my opinion. Works as intended, simply plugged it in, since i have an Nvidia 30 Series card i installed Nvidia Broadcast to enhance the webcam. I enabled the zoom and facial tracking features and RTX Voice, now the webcam works great for my various usages. Microphone picks up my voice easily without yelling and sounds good. Easily sits on top of my monitor and can be tilted as needed. Cable is a nice length also.

Great webcam. Better than similarly priced Logitec

Very good quality webcam and microphone. Got this on sale but wouldn't pay full price. It's also wide-angle so my face doesn't look puffed up. Microphone is clear. Also works well out of the box on my Mac.

Strong product. Good value. Minor limitations.

Pretty strong contender as a USB plug in webcam. Crystal clear in well lit conditions and can understandably struggle with low light situations. Just goes to illustrate how important lighting is when presenting via video comms.

The C3 video/audio is gr8

I've got it setup on desktop macOS Monterey. May require tweaking to the Audio MIDI Setup to get it work correctly

Underrated little gem

I bought the Asus C3 after I accidentally missed a sale on the C922 Pro Stream, and honestly, I wouldn’t look back. Sure, there are different technical specs, but nothing I think the average user would notice (especially considering the 20-25% lower price tag). What probably sold me on this camera is the wide angle (FoV 78°— same as the C922). I love it—BUT I know some people hate it so this is definitely something to consider when shopping for a webcam. I’d give it 5 stars but for its abysmal performance in low light. Plug and play. Excellent picture. Reasonable sound quality. Does what it says on the box.
