This mouse pad is huge. It's solid and the lighting is a nice touch. It was included with the purchase of another product so I can't complain as it was free. The backside has a no slip silicon surface that grips the desktop very well. Cord is a tough thick cable with braided sleave. There's an aditional USB port on the top of the pad where the cord attaches near the lighting control button. Ther lighting control button is great as it saves you having to open Aura Sync to dim or turn off lights, or cycle light effects if you have it set to that.

I have been using this mouse mat for over three months and I cannot be more satisfied. I love the consistent smooth glide it gives in gaming and just general use. It's spoiled me to the point I cannot use the computers at work because the mouse feels so sticky on the nasty old mouse pads. This will ruin you. If you try this mouse mat you will want a quality mouse pad for the rest of your life. Aside from the nice glide on the surface, I love the sewn edges (no fraying yet) and all the room to move around. I've had enough time with it now for it to get spilled on and dirty and it is surprisingly durable. Spills roll right off but sometimes dirt can be ground into the fabric by my elbows and with a few wipes it comes out pretty easy. The cordura is a perfect mouse surface and the rubber keeps this thing sealed tight on the desktop. Until mine starts bubbling I have to give 5 stars.

Dust contains human skin cells and other nasty things that you wouldn't want to touch if it's not your own. Lastly, I want to bring up the biggest flaw of this mousepad: the cordura fabric. That is the biggest factor of the mousepad and the talk of the product, so why would I say it's a flaw? To answer that, it's only a flaw if there is heat applied on the mousepad. When I am playing any competitive fps game, my mouse hand gets pretty sweaty and the heat is in contact with the mousepad. When that happens, the cordura fabric expands. Cordura fabric isn't cotton, it's nylon. Nylon is a thermoplastic. It can be melted and formed into something. If your room is very hot, the cordura fabric can absorb the heat and expand, thus forming bubbles underneath. This always happens when I am playing anything with intensity and my hand starts sweating and heating up. My general environment is pretty cold so I never seen the mousepad form bubbles elsewhere other than the mouse region. When the fabric does expand, it eventually cools down and the mousepad returns to its normal form. If your hands do not make contact with the mousepad or you do not sweat while gaming hard, disregard my testimony on the bubbles forming. Thanks for reading.

The aesthetics of the mat are understated, no flashy RGB or wild printed colors. Just a black mat, red "Republic of Gamers" logo on the top left corner about 3"x3" and "ROG SCABBARD" written across the top right side of the mat, about 8" wide. It will go with any table and setup you might have. If you prefer the flashier RGB and whatnot, there are other mats for you. Really, the only thing that's unconventional about this mat is its sheer size. If anything changes as long as I have this mat, I will come back and provide an update.

Handling this pad, I can feel and see a quality item. Also, I am not one to mention packaging, but in this case this item's packaging was even top notch. Wonderful collaboration again by ASUS. AIM LAB is a great company set up by people who know what they are talking and working on. Excellent mousepad bearing in mind this is cloth, the ability to optimise/calibrate with the Harpe Ace AIM LAB is huge for accuracy and individualisation and I love them from an aesthetics perspective as well. Great build quality as to be expected by ASUS.
