As far as the description of being anti-fray, slip-free, and spill-resistant, this mouse pad is on point. There are definitely some key points to address before actually using this though, or you could very easily wreck this. - DO NOT place anything hot or even warm on the mouse pad. Whether its food that you warmed up on a plate or a mug that contains hot liquid, do not place them on this mouse pad without something in between. If you do, youll experience what others have complained about where it will curl up and be impossible to lay flat again. - DO NOT roll the opposite way. Not exactly a problem once youve laid it down and plan on not moving it. But should you want to adjust it or think to roll it flat by rolling it the opposite direction it comes in, the ... It definitely is not the same material as other pads which is what makes it appealing for gaming, but its something to get adjusted to. Particularly with a wireless mouse, youll have a bit of a placement curve in the beginning as it glides differently. I kept it since I wanted a plain black extra large mouse pad, but if I wasnt so aesthetically stubborn I wouldve returned it in a heartbeat. Two months into purchase, Ive gotten used to it and dont mind it. Not my worse purchase, but definitely not my best as I just dont feel like its worth its price tag against other much cheaper options.

Its big, but so is my desk. Plenty of room for mouse, keyborad and joystick. Very well made, and it looks great on a black desk. My RAT 7 mouse is very smooth on this pad.

First of all, the fabric used in this mousepad is the ones you can find on most school backpacks kids wear on their backs. It's that kind of fabric. I bought this mousepad because I was looking for the fastest mousepad and came across this one off google comments. I am in search for the fastest mousepad and it all depends on the game you play. I used to play shooters like cs go and the go to mousepad for this game is steelseries, which has the very good control. It actually helps you aim. Anyways I bought this mousepad because it was compared to that of artisan shidenkai which i have not tried yet. Shidenkai is a hybrid mousepad with glass beads in it. This mouse pad is good, has pretty good speed, and very unique cloth since it probably is the only mousepad with fabric from a backpack. I would say it's worth it but the game i currently play I chose not to use this one. I test mousepads and gaming mouse for different games, because i play many different games and know what is needed to be good at them. If you want a speed and fast mouse pad then you can choose this one.
I have been using this mouse mat for over three months and I cannot be more satisfied. I love the consistent smooth glide it gives in gaming and just general use. It's spoiled me to the point I cannot use the computers at work because the mouse feels so sticky on the nasty old mouse pads. This will ruin you. If you try this mouse mat you will want a quality mouse pad for the rest of your life. Aside from the nice glide on the surface, I love the sewn edges (no fraying yet) and all the room to move around. I've had enough time with it now for it to get spilled on and dirty and it is surprisingly durable. Spills roll right off but sometimes dirt can be ground into the fabric by my elbows and with a few wipes it comes out pretty easy. The only problems to worry about ... The only problems to worry about are first, the mat is rolled up in the box so it may not lay perfectly flat at first, but it flattens out over time. Second, the ASUS and ROG branding is pretty blatant on both sides, which I'm okay with because I am a ROG fan. It certainly doesn't look professional though. Third, many people have been complaining about air bubbles forming between the cordura upper and the rubber bottom. I have no bubbles after three months so I'm curious what causes that. It may be caused by humidity or by trying to wash the mat with water. Where I live is super dry so it's not a problem. I think aside from that, the materials are spot on. The cordura is a perfect mouse surface and the rubber keeps this thing sealed tight on the desktop. Until mine starts bubbling I have to give 5 stars.
I have been using this mousepad for maybe 4 months now and it's a great mousepad when I'm NOT gaming competitively. I see lots of reviews that show bubbles inside the mousepad, and I think I've figured out why it happens. The mousepad is made out of cordura fabric which is a fabric mostly found in weatherproof advertised products. One wouldn't think to put gore-tex or cordura on a mousepad, and Asus has made it possible. First off, it's a very big mousepad. Larger than the typical XL mousepads in the market. The surface is not as soft compared to fabric material, but it is very glide-y. Any mouse will glide on the surface smoothly with ease. This hasn't degraded in the time that I have used it and I am on my computer majority of the day. This is a good sign that it ... The surface is not as soft compared to fabric material, but it is very glide-y. Any mouse will glide on the surface smoothly with ease. This hasn't degraded in the time that I have used it and I am on my computer majority of the day. This is a good sign that it will last pretty long. It doesn't absorb water so it can be cleaned without submerging it. The price was pretty steep and I had to think on it, but what made me pull the trigger was the waterproof feature. I don't recommend buying this used because it's like buying a used mattress. Mousepads sit there collecting dust and sometimes like to absorb the dust. Dust contains human skin cells and other nasty things that you wouldn't want to touch if it's not your own. Lastly, I want to bring up the biggest flaw of this mousepad: the cordura fabric. That is the biggest factor of the mousepad and the talk of the product, so why would I say it's a flaw? To answer that, it's only a flaw if there is heat applied on the mousepad. When I am playing any competitive fps game, my mouse hand gets pretty sweaty and the heat is in contact with the mousepad. When that happens, the cordura fabric expands. Cordura fabric isn't cotton, it's nylon. Nylon is a thermoplastic. It can be melted and formed into something. If your room is very hot, the cordura fabric can absorb the heat and expand, thus forming bubbles underneath. This always happens when I am playing anything with intensity and my hand starts sweating and heating up. My general environment is pretty cold so I never seen the mousepad form bubbles elsewhere other than the mouse region. When the fabric does expand, it eventually cools down and the mousepad returns to its normal form. If your hands do not make contact with the mousepad or you do not sweat while gaming hard, disregard my testimony on the bubbles forming. Thanks for reading.
I have several xxl mousepads. ROG Sheath, Glorious, etc. They are all the same cloth and stitched edges. They all cost about the same as the Scabbard and they are all nice. BUT THIS ONE IS BETTER. Honestly, the Cordura they make this out off is slicker, smoother and a bit tighter weave than my cloth ones. It makes the mouse glide better on it's skates and actually gives you less resistance than all the others. The nice thing is it is not SO slick that you start slipping when you stop. It still has just a bit of "fabric" resistance so even though it slides better, it still stops on a dime. Honestly, best one I have ever had on my battle station and I wont go back. For daily driver I still like the old fashioned fabric because the Cordura is a bit cold to the touch ... MoreI have several xxl mousepads. Still for gaming there is none better. Definitely recommend
I just received the mat the other day, and have been gaming on it for a couple days so far. It is large. I purchased it to complement a new standing desk I got. The table is 70"x30" or so, and the mat is about half those dimensions at 35"x15", it's just the perfect size for the table. The fabric is soft on top, and the bottom of it has plenty of grip, so no problems with sliding around the table. The mouse moves quite easily across the mat. The price point might be a little high for some, for just a mouse pad, but the quality of the material and fabrication are good for the price paid. It does feel durable enough to justify the price point. Overall, I am satisfied with the price as well. Of course, if it get's any cheaper or you can find a coupon, grab this mat! The ... The aesthetics of the mat are understated, no flashy RGB or wild printed colors. Just a black mat, red "Republic of Gamers" logo on the top left corner about 3"x3" and "ROG SCABBARD" written across the top right side of the mat, about 8" wide. It will go with any table and setup you might have. If you prefer the flashier RGB and whatnot, there are other mats for you. Really, the only thing that's unconventional about this mat is its sheer size. If anything changes as long as I have this mat, I will come back and provide an update.
It's almost the size of my computer desk, and it looks great. Easy to clean. My parrot spilled a glass of Milo on it. Just wipe it down with a wet cloth. No stains and dried quickly. If you are looking for a massive mouse mat, this is the one to purchase.
This was the best XL mousepad i bought. The feel and quality was definitely worth the money. Unfortunately it lasted me a good year before these air pockets started happening. I've tried to hair dry and squeeze out the air but i think the glue wore off between the surface and the rubber bottom. I would buy again in a heart beat but for 40 dollars you kinda expect these to last awhile which it hasn't for me.
