Attempting to download my games library via wifi led to my connection being dropped repeatedly on a gigabit connection withXfinity. Clearly the product cannot provide reasonable or stable speeds. I suspect it is overheating during the process and causing it to disconnect from the network. Avoid at all costs, find any other competitor and use their product instead. You will thank yourself later.

Over priced and extremely underperforming.2 feet away from a Nighthawk CAX80 this gets a blistering 200Mbps down. The Intel 9560 was getting 920Mbps down.Save your money don't waste your time. Tested in a USB 3.1 and 3.2 port and speed's we're never higher then 250Mbps. Significantly slower then AC and much less range.

Awful. I have a 3 year old laptop that i was trying to upgrade to Wifi 6. Every other device that i have can get approx 500mbps download speeds via ax. I can even get 60mbps download on this. Even if i put the laptop next to my router it just doesn't work. No way they can claim this is wireless ax. I should have paid attention to all the disclaimers on the asus website before i bought this. It's not my wifi or my computer. Its this piece of garbage. I wish i still had the box so i could return this and buy something else. Pictures speak for themselves.

An absolute trash product. You truly do get what you pay for. Believe the reviews when they complain of a product defect for this product. The adapter that came with my Lenvo laptop was periodically failing despite having the latest drivers and all on-line solutions did not work. Fortunately, I was able to use this USB adapter to get back on-line. I had to first purchase and Ethernet adapter to get connectivity to download the drivers. I had a slight issue with installing the drivers which Asus support quickly resolved and my wi-fi connections have been problem free ever since.The MicroCenter salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me choose the best adapter for my needs. This Wi-Fi adapter is good, gets a good signal and is pretty reliable. Only drawback is that you need a CD driver to load the drivers. It’s not plug and play. I had to go onto another laptop to get the drivers off the cd. I put it on a thumb drive and was able to put it on the laptop that had the issue with the original network card. Once it loaded it worked excellent.

I've been using it for a few months and I have to say this is one of the worse WiFi products I've gotten. If you're trying to play games this thing is the worst because it has packet loss issues due to its poor connections. The speeds are average and it is compact, I'd only recommend this to people who have old laptops and devices that are only going to be used for watching youtube or Netflix. If you want to play games buy the PCIE version or get one that has an antenna.
My wife's Lenovo laptop was having a hard time staying connected to my ASUS RT-AX58U AX3000 WIFI 6 AiMesh network. Wow, that's a mouthful. I decided to give this adapter a try.I downloaded the driver from ASUS website 1st. Plugged in the adapter. Installed driver. Gave it a test. Speed wasn't the best. I then disabled the built in WiFi adapter that came with the laptop and saw much better speed.It is a little pricy at $50, but I'm happy with the results.
Downloaded the driver per included instructions and given an error about not working with my OS, which is Windows 11 and up to date. Then after going to the Asus website and looking for drivers there got it to work, However the fastest speed it ever reached was 211Mbps over 5GHz wifi ax with 1Gig internet. My internal Wifi ac adapter reaches over 900Mbps no problem. Really disappointed, such a promising product that simply didn't deliver.
My OS is Windows 10 X64 Home. I downloaded the Windows 10 driver and it would not install. Got the message "We do not support this operating system." Decided to give the Windows 11 driver a try and it installed properly.My previous adapter was AC1300 and my Wi-Fi speed was around 860mbps on a 5Ghz Wi-Fi network. Installed this adapter and speed jumped up to 1200mbps on 5Ghz.Web pages seemed quicker.
