Avène Cicalfate Lotion 40ml

It’s a very thick material that isn’t so easy to rub in. It takes time to fully rub it into your skin. It’s for dry skin, and if you have flaky dry skin, it moves the dry flakes around lol. I like that it doesn’t have a fragrance. I also like that I can place it on my eyelids and around my eyes without burning sensation or blurred vision. I was recommended by a dermatology PA to use. I prefer ciciplast because it’s easier to work with. I wouldn’t purchase this again.

My skin is quite dry and gets inflamed easily, so I tried Avene Cicalfate repairing protective cream recently. Have always been a fan of this brand with its minimalistic approach to skin care. After a few days use my skin feels more supple, moisturised and less reactive. Now I need a bigger bottle!

When my skin is red, dry, or irritated, I apply the cream overnight and next morning morning it's so hydrated and smooth. I also like to apply it in the mornings as a moisturiser, although I usually need to reapply in my dry spots - the corners of my nose etc. My one complaint would be that immediately after applying it my skin feels very oily and unpleasant for about 15 minutes, but after that it absorbs and feels much nicer. However, it is quite a heavy cream so you will still feel it on your face throughout the day. The photos are my skin before and after the cream (but it's opposite cheeks which is why the moles are different).

After exfoliating, this is my go to cream. It’s a soft, hypoallergenic and sensitive friendly barrier cream that employs copper zinc complex to protect the biome of your skin. The combination of ingredients in the formula are easy on your skin and work to ease irritation while providing a good balance for your skin. I enjoy this because there are no irritations, it softens and hydrates my skin and relieves any irrational while providing a protective barrier to prevent future irritation. Very good product for those with sensitive skin!

If i could give this 1000 stars i would. During COVID my face was in shambles due to all of the mask wearing. One of my good friends recommended this product as I was desperate because my wedding was coming up soon. This stuff is sooooo good for barrier issues your skin might be suffering from and has no scent which in my case helped a ton. I have kept a tube of this on hand since then and i can see why Hailey beiber is such a fan.

I will never try another moisturizer again. I have dry acne prone skin and my skin barrier is always sensitive and damaged. I love using the product in the morning and night because it makes my skin glowy and hydrated, even in the cooler months. I love using this with my retinol treatment cause my skin is extra sensitive. This also works amazing for eczema.

I have really sensitive skin and since switching to this as a face cream, my skin has never looked better. I haven’t broken out once since using it and I love how lightweight it is. Such an effect cream, definitely recommend. Even though it is a bit pricey, I totally think it is worth it. Will be using this again.

I tried the Avene Cicalfate+ cream, and I really wanted to like it. While it provided excellent hydration, I experienced an unfortunate breakout. The cream's moisturizing properties are impressive, leaving my skin feeling soft and nourished. However, it didn't agree with my skin, causing breakouts.

Watery Smells and Looks Like Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment But It Does The Job

I received my Avene Cicalfate Repair Cream yesterday. When I removed the seal from the tube, a watery substance spilled from the tube. I tried to shake it and knead it, but water continued to come out of the tube. I finally did get some white, watery cream from the tube. There is not much cream in the tube, and what is in there looks and smells exactly like Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment. I dont know if the liquid and the cream separated in transit, or if it is old (doesnt expire until 8/20), or if this is not the real thing. Spring water is listed as the 1st ingredient, so maybe it just separated. I have never purchased it before, so I dont know. After a week of kneading and shaking the tube, the water and the cream blended together. The product did an excellent job of soothing and healing my irritated skin. It took about a week for my skin to completely heal. Whenever my skin feels irritated I use this and the irritation goes away. I would recommend it.
