I have been using for 7 months now on my baby's skin since he's got Atopic Dermatitis and his dermatologist recommended this specific brand. We are absolutely in love with this product, we use it as often as 4 times a day and combine it with and for a fresher and hydrating finish on his skin.We are now on our second bottle for each product and we have had amazing results with this Cream and Oil.You need to apply very little amount since it's very creamy and spreads easily, yet it doesn't feel oily on his skin. Since winter has started, this came at the perfect time time as I suffer from dermatitis and my skin tends to become quite dry and itchy. On certain days, it can flare up and become red especially after having a hot shower. Using its famous thermal spring water in its formula, this balm definitely helps to soothe and reduce redness of inflamed skin. The balm is thick enough to stay on the skin for long periods and doesn't leave a greasy residue. The balm is great at leaving the skin soft, supple and moisturized.

Best cream for sensitive skin

I will never use something else again. I have tried other creams for sensitive skin, no perfumes etc. nothing worked. It was actually a girl working the makeup counter at shoppers that recommended this cream. I am so happy she did. I went in to buy a different product and walked put with this... and that was over 5 years ago. I have been buying this ever since. I would get an eczema-like rash on my eye lids from wearing any makeup, or using any cleanser or cream.. UNTIL I used this cream. I have been using it on my face everyday. Haven't had an issue since. Highly recommend this cream. It is thick, not oily, and very soothing.

My dermatologist prescribed a hydrocortisone and to follow that up with Aquaphor. I don't mind doing that at night but researched thoroughly what other products I could use instead. I'd read about Allure's recommendation of the XeraCalm AD Cream, and I did purchase that but thought I'd try the balm as well. It turns out I'm love with this balm. It effectively moisturizers and soothes my skin but oddly enough does not leave me feeling like I've got a heavy film on my face. I actually like it better than the cream. As with all balms, it applies best when you warm it up first a bit with your fingers and then press it into the skin. I use it after the shower, I keep one in my purse, I would recommend it to everyone for almost everything. I sound like an ad, I know, but I like it that much and it really is that gentle and helpful for me. So I'm writing this because I hope it helps others - and I hope Avène doesn't change the formula or stop making it! I've tried so many products and lines, and this is one of only two products I can use when my face is at its most sensitive. It's soothing and doesn't sting at all. Which is amazing because when some days my skin is so irritated that everything else burns, even products labelled "gentle" or "soothing" or "made for sensitive skin".The tube has a special pump that allows it to dispense without introducing air or bacteria which is also a plus. On one of mine, the pump cracked so I don't know if the "sterile cosmetics" symbol still technically applies, and it pumps out a bit wonky - but I don't care in the least because this stuff is just absolute heavenly wonderful soothing liquid gold to me. Avène, if you have someone that reads consumer reviews and they see this, please know that there are people who love and need this product so much that they will type out long-winded testimonials in support of it. Please don't change the formula or stop making it!
