Avent Electric Bottle & Food Warmer

So, this product tells you that you can warm milk and food. Yes, it will, but it will take forever. The settings don't really work. Anything not completely liquid (purees) will take 10 minutes or more to warm up. Not worth it. Pretty nice and easy for bottles though and most bottles will fit in it. No timer unfortunately, so you have to keep an eye on it yourself.

One of the greatest things about living in 2022 is the technology that they have came out with. One of which is a bàby bottle warmer by Avent brand. It's not safe to heat the babies bottle in the microwave oven because it can get way too hot too fast. (I, on the other hand, don't even have a microwave). The baby bottle warmer works fast and should not make the babies bottle too hot. It's portable and convent. You can take it with you from room to room. I recommend it for all baby Mothers.

Problem with the Device The only problem with this model is that it doesn't have an auto-off function because usually when you are feeding a hungry baby everything else has forgotten and parents sometimes seem to forget to turn it off. I love this product! It warms the bottles at the perfect temperature and doesn't take too long. I used to boil water and place a bottle in a large bowl but that took so much time... Now with the bottle warmer, my MOTN feeds are quicker and less stressful! I actually have the bottle warmer in my son's room and I rock him in the rocking chair while waiting for the bottle. I can have the bottle ready in a few minutes while waiting in the comfort of his room instead of going back and forth to the kitchen. A real life saver! Also the lring light serves as a perfect night light when it's on as to not use the lamp during the night.

This warmer is a must have if you don’t have any hot water right at the spot when you need to warm up the milk. You might not need it if you have a hot water dispenser at home. This warmer is very convenient for us even though it doesn’t warm up as quick as we want. We’ve been using this for a few months now and haven’t encountered any problems with it yet. The down side is that it’s a little hard to clean when the water minerals start to build up on the bottom of the warmer inside (where you put the water).

Good bottle warmer with multiple features.

I would definitely recommend this bottle warmer because of it's variety of features. I do like the auto shut off after about 60 minutes. It heats up the milk/food rather quickly to a good temperature. I like how you can warm both milk and food in this bottle warmer and it's large enough to house different types of bottles. Big, Small, Fat, Skinny, breastmilk bags and even food containers. It is very easy to use.The dial is big and turns nicely. The indicator light gradually becomes a full circle once the warming is complete. One thing I was not a fan of was that the Ounce/ ML indicator. It is a bit small and doesn't light up. I think it would be easier to see if it did light up. This is just an extra step in my already busy life. However, the outside of the warmer does not get super hot that it would harm anyone, but the water inside does. The bottle warmer itself has no way of knowing what the temperature of the milk itself is, as it has no sensors that penetrate into the bottle. So it measures the temperature of the surrounding water instead. If you keep your milk in a fridge and use room temperature tap water to warm the milk up, the two liquids are at different starting points. In this scenario, the water will reach the “correct” temperature mug earlier than the milk in the bottle, so when you take the milk out of the warmer, it will still be too cold. If you surround the milk with water of the same temperature as the milk, the two liquids start off the same baseline and warm up evenly together. It’s simple physics.We keep a simple empty small 330ml bottle that once has Perrier in it in the fridge and refill it with tap water every time after we will have put a bottle on. It is a simple routine which anyone can easily remember, even with a hungry baby in the house.Finally, you will soon learn when your baby gets hungry and/or is supposed to eat anyway. When you know this it is also not difficult to put on the milk approximately 10 mins before feeding time. If you always wait with warming up the milk until your baby starts screaming, you are doing something wrong anyway!!So, for all responsible parents with a brain, I wholeheartedly recommend this product! It works excellently if you use it right and care about giving your child the best milk possible.

Not useful for our household

I was excited to try the bottle and baby food heater for our 6 months old baby’s food needs but was disappointed. Our experience was that it takes a lot longer to heat milk in a bottle or food in the machine than in the microwave or just in a regular water bath on the stove top. For baby food it’s hard to find a container that fits into the machine too as it’s small and round. We used the product with Phillips bottles. If it would have heated up the food in less than five minutes I’d be more satisfied but it took almost half an hour for just half a jar of baby food stored in the fridge. It also lacks a times. Still the best option out there

First I thought it’s a brilliant product, as we had difficulties rewarm the bottle and small amount of baby food for our 8 months old daughter. The product is still the best solution out there, but it under delivered my expectations.The design is nice , ergonomic, and I like the warming up solution with a bit of water. The food warming is pretty fast and easy, not making pants dirty, which I liked !Unfortunately the bottle rewarming takes quite a while, so it needs to be planned a bit before. Terrible design

The design of this product is so short sighted. Where to even start.- it's hard to use. There are different modes for a little bottle, big bottle, and food, with tiny indistinguishable icons indicating which is which. The knob doesn't "snap" into which setting you've chosen, so it's hard to tell what mode you're actually in. Then you have to memorize a bunch of times from the manual - eg 3 minutes on little bottle mode for 2 oz, 5 minutes on big bottle mode for 5 oz, etc. If you ever need a babysitter or someone else to use it, prepare to give them a 15 minute instruction or have them read the manual, because they won't just be able to figure it out. You have to use an external timer, so you need another piece of equipment in order to even use this.- it doesn't automatically shut off. So if you set a bottle to heat, and get distracted by screaming baby or explodey diaper, it will continue on heating and scalding your milk. If you leave it on with no bottle in it accidentally (sleep deprivation will make you forgetful), it will just damage itself.- you need to put in water at the height of the milk in the bottle. If you use Philips Avent bottles, aka the brand of this device, they are too wide to actually see if the water level matches the milk level.The only thing that is positive about the warmer is that it does indeed warm the bottle. But everything else about it is so poorly designed and inconvenient, I can't recommend this one.
