Snowys Outdoors always have the best prices when it comes to rehydrated foods, and I love that you can buy a family serve (5 serve) for a discounted price also. I have been unable to return to work after a spinal cord injury, so being to save every penny while still being able to afford these purchases is awesome. Thanks again!

Is ok if you need to eat. Quite a lot in one packet which is awesome. But definitely a bit much when only eating dehydrated meals for 2 weeks solid.

High nutritional and Mj output, when prepared correctly looks and smells like a freshly prepared meal with great texture too.In cold conditions for a more fulfilling meal use double the water and it becomes a hearty soup, it does not degenerate to a mush like some other brands do or double portion packs are availableWell done Back Country Cuisine.

Great purchase, good value. Many friends recommended these products for my emergency go bag. Lightweight, easy to use. Very delicious.
We tried a fair few different Back Country meals on our hike recently and this was by far the weirdest. The bolognaise sauce itself was fairly good, but this particular meal uses noodles, not spaghetti. Quite an odd texture and not great. We wouldn't repurchase this one. Good size and easy to use, but it's a lot of an odd fusion.
A lot of the previous reviews say it ... it's not bad, just ensure you give it time (more than the suggested packet time) and try to keep it hot (like wrapping) while it is dehydrating. Add your parmesan cheese, and dont forget your fork! Haha! Bit hard to eat spaghetti with a spoon! User error! Taste is good enough. I'd buy again.
Not extraordinary, was missing a lot of what makes a good pasta. Not enough salt, and it had a very weak tomatoey flavour. But I did forget to stir the contents properly so there was a lot of dry ingredients stuck in the folds at the bottom of the packet, which may have led to the bologneses downfall.
Definitely a family favourite on the trail. We added some pantry parmesan cheese which was a nice addition. As other reviewers have mentioned, leave to stand for plenty of time, and if it's cold, consider wrapping your packet in a towel/something to retain the heat while you wait.
I am pretty happy with all the Back Country Cuisine Meals. They are pretty tasty for an instant meal. So easy to prepare and a handy addition to your camping supplies. Great in an emergency. Fast delivery from Snowys too.
My son said it was the best SB I've ever made ... that came as a blow, but I have to agree with him, it was very, very good. You need to get the liquid measurement correct and be patient enough to allow it re-hydrate. It helps to do your cooking in the light (vs. absolute darkness - that's a beginners tip!). The portion size is generous especially when the pouch is emptied out onto a plate.
