I ordered this square for its readability (White / Black) but I am disappointed by the quality and lack of precision of the engraving is rough and sometimes almost blurred. Furthermore an inverted graduation allowing a measurement either by the stick or by the tip was welcome. My appreciation is based on the long-standing use and comparison with stainless steel brackets of a major brand (lifetime warranty) whose accuracy is unparalleled but whose reflections of light on metal do not facilitate reading as you age. .. As for the overall quality nothing to say however, so it is a pity that Bacho is not designed a product more successful.

This square, together with the 200mm version I also ordered are ideal for the work I do and a great addition to the tool kit. Well made and sure to provide many years of service.

bahco square 400mm is very good square.
I love this square because it is cut from a single plate, meaning you cant knock it out of square if its dropped or loose in a general toolbox. I find it very accurate and being able to measure whilst marking a square is a real time saver. I have been using these for about 10 yrs now and in that time i have had to replace it once as the numbers got rubbed off from very heavy use on stone, metal and wood projects, so id say thats the only down side, but if you have used it as much as i have you wont really mind.
