Be quiet! Pure Base 600 Case Black

Good looking case, genuinely quiet with standard fans, no issues fitting ATX format Motherboard. Only slight criticism was the housings for drives which makes for awkward cabling for SATA data. Also the mounting screws that hold the drive housings in place weren't the best quality.

A Great Case!

I was looking for a quiet case that would hold a full size ATX M/B at a good price , smallest possible dimensions and this case hit that mark. Not many cases have space for 2 DVD drives which this did. It also came with 2 fans that are extremely quiet at full speed. It had plenty of room for routing cables. My wife commented that the case was beautiful (the front panel is angled and looks like it is brushed aluminum but it is actually plastic)! The only problem I had was one of the pre-installed M/B standoffs was not drilled out so I had to replace it with one from my old case. The power and hard drive LEDs are a quite bright but this is not a problem for me.

Agrophobics, Beware

I'm one of the people who tends to re-use old cases and didn't realise the strides that had been made in their design.This case is really all things to all men (& women!).First of all, the quality of build is excellent, really solid and well built, with a lovely semi-matt black finish.It is well suited to either air or water cooling, but tends to neither, in that it has a removable top for those who wish to fit radiators, but, with an adjustable height when fitted, does not confront air coolers with a huge unfilled opening. A radiator may also be fitted to the rear.There is space for five removable cages (you are provided with three) for 3.5" HDDs, each cage will also hold 2 SSDs. Coupled with using just one of the cages for a large HDD, there is enough room left to hold a ball.There are 2x 5.5" bays of a more traditional nature, but I can't bring myself to break the beautiful lines of the front, so have an external optical drive on my desk ... which I find very handy and accessable.As well as the usual audio and 2x USB ports to the front, there is also a discrete three position switch to control the speed of up to three case fans. Not being an overclocker, I have mine set to minimum, which, with the be quite! fans provided, results in a beautifully quite environment ... provided you choose your graphics card carefully.It grieves me to say that I can't really find anything about it not to like ;-)All in all, what you might expect of German engineering.Good value for money - hightly recommended.

Awesome PC case with lots of features!

This case is very well designed and allows for multiple configurations of CPUs, coolers and still has front panel slots for CD/DVDs! Well written instructions allow for easy assembly (could use a bit more detail though).

I Am In Love With This PC Case

The reason I love this case is because it doesn't have the temp glass panel thing. I am not the show kind of person and very simple minded guy but this thing is a beauty to my eye, especially when it is also in black. My whole built theme was complete black components, so this beauty was just perfect for me and the fact that you can do so much customization on the case when building it is just great.Build Warning: Just a piece of advice that when you are building the costume building make sure to install the fans first that way it would save you a lot of trouble.

Pretty good overall

The only complaint I have is that the plastic tabs that hold pieces to the chassis break very easily. The top venting cover and the panels that allow external DVD drives have such plastic tabs. One has to push them in a bit to remove these covers / panels. I hardly touched mine and they broke, both the top panel and the front cover.

Super Quiet with some setup caveats

I recommend this product with the caveat that the screws that connect the motherboard strip very easily. I knew this going into this build based on other reviews and I now have purchased 3 of these cases. Absolutely love the case for how quiet and discreet it is. I accept that not all the screws connect the motherboard (4 out of 6 ain't bad) because these workstations are staying put for the most part. At this price point, I absolutely recommend this case for a super silent stealth setup that you will forget it is right by your desk if you can't see it. Also, the plastic thingy that lets you pre-connect the LED lights for the case... I recommend avoiding using it and just connecting the pins directly to the motherboard instead. Very Good Choice for the Price

This is a barebones case with some pretty nice features not a couple of limitations. It takes a full ATX MB but some of the wire access holes get blocked by a full size card. The external bays are exactly what I needed for my CD/DVD drive. The unit came with 2 fans but I added 3 more be quite! fans to assure great airflow. The top side grill cover can be raised or removed to improve airflow. I chose to remove it to maximize flow across the RAM area. I had no need for a glass side as this is a working machine, not a show-piece. Mine arrived dented but I opted to ignore this shipping damage (hole in the box) since the dent was not a functional concern. If you can deal with the tight cable routing, this is a solid selection

Very Quiet, Nice Layout, Unobtrusive Looks

Overall this is the best case I have ever owned (I've been building PC's since early 2000's). It is almost completely silent. I also have a be quiet! psu in it which is also very quiet. I can only really hear the cpu and gpu coolers. I like the option of being able to use up to four 3.5" HDDs. My GPU is very long so I can only use 3 but it's enough for my use. I really like the looks of this case. Nothing flashy but it's still sleek and elegant. The only con is that the power button LED is extremely bright. I unplugged it but I'd really like a soft glow when it's on.

Wonderful, High Qaulity Case

I am incredibly happy with this case. The joke I tell is that this case on full blast is quieter than my old computer when it was off. Additionally, I think it's worth mentioning that I didn't initially buy this case because of the noise-dampening features. I bought it because it was well priced and had a modular setup that looked good for system building. Even if you're not looking for ultimate quiet, I'd recommend giving this case a try as it doesn't sacrifice quality in other areas to achieve its low noise level.
