I previously bought a Be Quiet! Dark Base 900 for my server build and loved it, so I decided to try this one for my daily use Windows PC build. I was looking for a mid-tower size that would support an optical drive and have a glass side panel. Since I have several other machines in my home office I also wanted something that would keep noise to a minimum. I'm very pleasantly surprised with the Pure Base 600 case! It is easy to see that it is well-built, it looks great, and the price is extremely competitive. The support for optical drives plus plenty of 3.5 and 2.5 bays is excellent. Cooling options are plentiful (though not so much as the more-expensive Dark Base). I would highly recommend this case.

I was looking for a case that has a minimum of two 5.25 external drive bays. The choices were slim for something that looked good until I found this one! It is a good quality case and I love the Black & Orange color scheme. I read the other reviews and was a little hesitant but decided to buy it anyway. I'm very glad I did. This case has plenty of internal drive bays, great design for hiding wiring and came with two fans. I would recommend it highly to anyone that wants a nice looking and functional case. Some reviews mentioned airflow problems but I haven't had any trouble with that, I'm not interested in doing any overclocking or anything to create high heat conditions. Some other reviews mentioned that it felt cheap or flimsy, the only thing I have noticed is the ... MoreI was looking for a case that has a minimum of two 5.25 external drive bays. Over all I feel it is an excellent case for the price and I am completely satisfied with it. Plus it looks really cool too!!!

I really have to laugh at the comments that say that SSDs don't fit in the SSD mounting brackets on the backside of the motherboard plate. People, the SSDs go ON TOP of the brackets. A simple perusal of the "manual" would have clarified that. Those brackets are not intended to cover the SSDs (too narrow for that) and clamp them to the motherboard plate. The are spacers to elevate the SSDs off the motherboard plate so the SATA power and data cables have some room to connect to the SSDs. Once fastened on the the brackets it is very easy indeed to remove and reinstall the SSDs in the computer. Sure in a case off this price, not everything is perfect, but, it provides some nice features and good interior space for a mid-tower case.
I bought this to replace my old case. It looks nicer and isn't as loud, but my Samsung SSD won't fit the SSD cage for some reason. I have no idea why. I was forced to put it in an HDD bay. This could be because Samsung SSDs use a non-standard design so I won't knock off a point for this. Cable management was fairly easy. Great case. EDIT: It turns out that the SSD goes outside the bracket, not inside. I wish the instructions clarified this. I also mixed up the SSD screws with the MB screws because the illustrations in the book and the actual screws don't look identical, and the bags aren't labeled. I had to go back and swap the screws around. I wish they'd at least label the bags. Oh well. For future reference, the small screws with the flat tops are the SSD screws. ... MoreI bought this to replace my old case. I still give this case five stars. EDIT 2: Upon further inspection, it turns out that the manual DOES mention in the manual that the SSD is attached outside the bracket, not inside, so that's on me.
I would definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a really quiet PC, such as living in a small apartment and or dwelling with people who sleep on different schedules, and/or need quiet for other reasons. For people like me, who have built their PCs for decades, not necessarily recommended, because various adapters, such as the Laptop SSD/Hard Drive adapters that I already have don't fit with their screws or mine, since their drive holders have custom shock absorbers where their screws fir on the sides, and for the bottom/ and or top of the holder. Unfortunately, they don't seem to work for my drives. I'm sure that they have an accessory adapter for it, but...
As mentioned above, this is a solid/pretty case with terrible air flow. NOT recommended for 'hot' systems. The temps of my Ryzen 7 2700X system kept going up higher and higher while transcoding video. That's because, although this case has room for 2 fans in the front, those fans choke due to the fact that the front panel is a solid wall with only tiny holes in the sides (covered with metal mesh) for the system to breathe. This caused my system temps to increase beyond the safe point forcing me to shut the system down. In order to solve this I did what any DIY inclined person would do: I cut a big 8.5" X 5" hole in the middle of the front panel and glued some mesh material over it in order for the front fans to breathe. In order to solve this I did what any DIY inclined person would do: I cut a big 8.5" X 5" hole in the middle of the front panel and glued some mesh material over it in order for the front fans to breathe. This resulted in the temps coming down to a more tolerable level. It also threw the 'quiet' factor out the window! The case came with some quality-control issues out of the box as well: 2 of the mobo standoffs were out of alignment (they did not align with the mobo holes) This I solved by bending them back with pliers-luckily they did not brake. 1/4 of the noise-damping material that comes glued to the side panel also keeps detaching itself every time I remove it. I would not recommend this case to anyone with a system that needs some serious cooling. I would have kept my old Cooler Master CM-590 III had I known these issues.
Simple, quiet case and you don't really need to say more. Hard drive cages can be removed if necessary. For example, if you want to install a larger graphics card, this is very practical. Otherwise the case is like from be quiet! very well made as usual. The built-in case fans are also whisper-quiet and can be controlled in 3 speeds with the fan controller on the case. A total of 3 fans can be attached to the controller.
I recommend this product with the caveat that the screws that connect the motherboard strip very easily. I knew this going into this build based on other reviews and I now have purchased 3 of these cases. Absolutely love the case for how quiet and discreet it is. I accept that not all the screws connect the motherboard (4 out of 6 ain't bad) because these workstations are staying put for the most part. At this price point, I absolutely recommend this case for a super silent stealth setup that you will forget it is right by your desk if you can't see it. Also, the plastic thingy that lets you pre-connect the LED lights for the case... I recommend avoiding using it and just connecting the pins directly to the motherboard instead. -Not too flashy. I know this was listed in the pro's. This case is offered with orange accents, wish there were more options. Red, blue, green, silver, etc. I went with black. The orange really seems to pop, but didn't fit in with my red aesthetic. -The top fan cover is great, but because of the tabs that stick down into the case, top radiator placement is closer to the motherboard than some other cases. -I'm coming from a Corsair 350D, wanted something that would fit an atx mobo, that could mount my 240mm rad up top. This worked, but it's even more cramped up top than my old case. If you want to use the 5.25" drive bays there is some room above them to slide the rad into. CPU power cables kept me from mounting the rad further back at the top. Ram barely clears. ... More-Not too flashy. I know this was listed in the pro's. There are slots for mounting the rad, which is nice, but I still had to move the rad to a position where there was no room to put the last couple of screws. It worked, but I was hoping for more room in this atx mid tower case. Your mileage may very on top rad mounting. I don't think it would be possible to fit a 280mm rad in the top without case mods. I ended up running my rad in the front, but I had to remove the 5.25" bays. It's 5 screws and you're ready to go. With a 240mm rad all the way up at the front, there's still room underneath for another 120mm fan to bring in cold air to feed the video card. -All in all, it's a very good case at an excellent price. And I do recommend it!
