A great Buy!

I had been thinking of picking up some microphones to have just as a back up or for occasional use. (Another person in the group brings the PA and mics when we play.) I saw these Behringer mics, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. I tried them out as soon as I got them and they work great! In my opinion, you won't find a better mic for the price! They are very responsive. I am very satisfied with the mics. Now mind you I have not actually used them on a job yet, but everything came just as described nice padded case with mic holders and all. One or two reviews I read said the case was flimsy. The case is not ready to take-on the airport baggage handlers, but it is a good case that will be great for normal use. The mic holders are made so that the cable plug is held rather than the mic itself. Now, I would prefer a holder that actually holds the mic, but I probably will never use the holders as I already have stands with holders that I will use. I mention this since some reviews I read were critical of this. I would have gladly paid the asking price, or more, for these mics without the holders or case. As far as I am concerned the case and holders were free so I am thrilled with the purchase. Also, within about 5 minutes, literally 5 minutes, after I placed the order I had phone call from Sweetwater thanking me for the order and telling me about when to expect them! The whole experience is five stars in my book!

It was my first time to use this product as I don't have enough in my pocket. So my thought is, why I would pay those expensive microphones when I can get the same satisfaction with this brand at a very affordable price.

Budget price, average quality microphones - unidirectional

This product works as expected for the price. Though they are a bit on the quiet side, even when singing directly in the mic at a distance of only a few centimetres. You really have to put your lips on it to get a decent volume. The mics are very uni-directional so it you are off to the left or right a little bit, then the sound pickup drops extremely quickly.

I haven't had the opportunity to evaluate these, but feel confident based on many other reviews (on which I base my "Performance" rating). The kit is certainly just as advertised, and then some. At this price, the mics would have to not work at all to not be a great value. I appreciate the detents in the clips' pivots, and the (unadvertised) 5/8" to 3/8" mic stand adapters included with each clip. The fitted case is deluxe. The one addition that would ratchet the "Features" rating up to Excellent would be a means of locking the switch in the On position. HOT LITTLE MIC!

Wow these mics are better than I expected. They are very hot (volume wise) , clear, and light weight. Haven't used them live yet but I think they will do just fine. Sitting here in my music room about 10' or 12' away with speakers pointed straight at me, no fed back, that surprised me. On EQ all I done was add a little bass. The case is excellent, protects the mics very well. The only con I see is they have a little handling noise. Once you get them in a stand, no problem. Would be perfect for jam sessions, karaoke, or where OTHER people are using your equipment. Who wants to take a $200 mic for someone else to break, NOT ME. For the price they can't be beat. A lot cheaper to replace than a $200 mic.

Very good value for money.

Bought some of these due to a mic shortage for a party I'm hosting this year at my house with 2 stages. Didn't want to risk my "good" mics. Pleasantly surprised how good these actually are! My primary mic is a EV 767. Great mic. $120. This mic, $13 (each in 3 pack). Is it as good as the EV....? nope. But it's dang close. Is the EV $107 better? No way. I used one at a wedding the other day and had ZERO complaints from me or anyone else. I'd say the EV is smoother and a little bassier on the bottom. Little EQ on the bottom and they'd almost be indistinguishable from each other. At such a "throwaway" price I'm gonna get some more for permanent practice mics. Wish they came without switches though. That's a nuisance more than a bullet point. Overall great.

You can have it all it seems - good AND cost effective!

I wanted mics for shows, theatre and my home studio. Being a musician, price is crucial. I like Beringer products and these are darned good value for the money. Sure, you can get better - but they’ll cost you. These are solid, well made and work as I expected. No nasty surprises. The only small thing is used with a singer who ‘eats’ them, you might need a better (external) pop filter. For those who need it, they come in a solid carry case for on-the-road. Recommended.
