I bought this to replace an aging, chipped V-slicer that I've had for probably 15 years or so, and holy cow the difference is night and day. It's amazing to have a tool like this. It cuts like nobody's business, and makes potato chips, little carrot shreds, and fries in no time. Just make sure you use the hand guard: this is the most frightening piece of equipment I've ever used.

What a great mandoline. Cuts smoothly and precisely, with cut widths adjustable to the millimetre. Great non-slip base, rests solidly against the bench. I tried a few others but Benriner is definitely the best by far. Knifewear just carries the best products.

I had heard about this brand of mandolin years ago when I was thinking of buying one. I ended up buying a different brand then but struggled with it. It was difficult to use and finally I gave up. When I saw the Benriner being sold at Knifewear I decided to give a mandoline another chance. I am so thrilled that I did. I love it. It’s easy to use and the guard is practical. I’ll never use another brand.

Blades are sharp and easy to change. Lots of different cutting options. The thickness being adjusted by a knob gives exact control. Much better and easier to use than the v-shape mandolin it replaced. Would buy again

I have owned a number of different mandolins over the years from cheap to high end. Price of the Benriner is in the middle but it is definitely the most versatile one I have owned. Number one on my list of features is the infinitely adjustable thickness feature that allows you to shave garlic or cut french fries. Another quality product for Knifewear.
I was terrified of the mandoline from past experiences, but this one is very straight forward and I feel safe to use. I have been enjoying having perfectly cut potatoes~
This is my first mandolin and I’m amazed how easy and quick it is to slice things. The product quality is obvious from the ease of disassembly for cleaning. It also comes with a great selection of various blades.
Sturdy construction, all blades come sharp out of the box and are easily replaceable. Straight blade can be sharpened without needing replacement. Best mandoline available on the market, underpriced if anything.
We purchased this item as a means to cut potatoes for French Fries. So far we have been very satisfied. It doesn't cut quite as thick as we wanted but we've adjusted the cooking time for the Fries. To date we haven't tried it for anything else, but look forward to that with the fresh produce from Farmer's Markets coming available soon. We purchased the "safety" glove too.
