In fact, I have never had to crank them above 50%, beyond which they get dangerously loud for me(I have sensitive ears and I can listen comfortably with lower DB volumes than most people I've met)Ratings of my audio gearYamaha HS5 studio monitors - 99/100Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 250 ohm - 95/100Audio Technica ATH M50x - 92/100Sennheiser HD 598 - 90/100Sony MDR 7506 - 85/100Build: These are extremely well built. One weird quirk I found was with the wire that goes into the right earcup. It was not routed in the same shape as the left side. So I removed the screws from the yoke holding the earcup and rotated it and placed them back and now the wire gets routed symmetrically and beautifully as intended! I may have OCD! I like the wires to be shaped symmetrically on both sides!Comfort: They are very light weight and fit securely on the head. Although the HD 598 are more comfortable, these are a close second.Bass: Oh my! The bass is very deep and clear, much clearer than ATH M50x which I thought was ultimate bass king. It's like the bass is rumblingMids: Mids are clean and flat, and do not get drowned by bass or treble. Most of my work gets done in these frequencies from 300Hz to 3kHz and I'm happy that these are very flat in these frequencies.Treble: This would be make or break for most people. These are a little treble heavy- which gives them that "clarity". It also helps us identify sibilant problem frequencies during recording and mixing. Since I've gotten these headphones, my recordings seem to have less sibilant and hissy flute sounds! Compared to ATH M50x the treble is higher quality and doesn't get piercing like ATH M50x (although I got used to that sound signature too!) It is all in the individual taste. But for getting mixing work and tracking work, nothing can beat these. You will see many reputed artists using these as many studios have these in the recording rooms.Separation: Very very distinct. In fact, these have such precise channel separation that the first 2 days I kept wondering why my left ear was hearing more volume, I thought these were broken. I even created a return request with headphonezone and they very kindly asked me to raise a return request. But my saner mind prevailed and I decided to do a thoroughly scientific test. I imported a few popular songs onto Reaper and just measured the effective loudnesses and to my surprise I could clearly see that the left channel was louder on many popular tracks because many professionally mastered songs tend to push the bass frequencies to the left channel slightly causing the overall LUFS on left to be higher! I was able to perceive this very distinctly on these headphones. I thought the right channel was broken! It helps a lot in fixing channel imbalances. If your studio monitoring headphones can't show you channel imbalance issues, then they're not fit to be studio monitors. On none of my other headphones, I was able to perceive that slight channel imbalance.Sound Stage: This was a pleasant surprise for me. I expected the sound stage to be very minimal like ATH M50x but they are surprisingly airy for a closed back headphones. They are almost as good as HD 598 which are open back headphones!.Accessories and other considerations: My only gripe is with the highly egregious cover they throw in with these! But considering that these will stay only in a recording studio, they get the job done. And a non-detachable cable is sacriligous in 2021!Overall Thoughts:These cans help me catch mistakes right in the tracking phase and help identify mistakes in the mixing phase when equing problem frequencies. This is a laser focused tool for the studio. People may not enjoy listening to sounds because they are very revealing and will pin point all the flaws in your mix.

When wearing these headphones i can hardly hear any outside noise, even my ceiling fans noise(which normally runs on high speed) gets completely isolated.Conclusion - If u game seriously then buy some other gaming headset(also contains mic), but if u want an all rounder then buy these(in my opinion this is the best closed back headphone under 15k) and if isolation is not a problem for u then choose an open back headphone( something like sennheiser HD 599, which sometimes goes on sale for 9-10k, which is an absolute banger of a price, but let me warn u HD 599 has elevated high bass frequency which tends to bleed into mids, otherwise it is a good deal if u don't mind bass).

Excellent headphones for mixing podcast episodes. What's impressive in addition to the sound quality is its build quality. There's really sturdy metal body that I feel confident stretching over my large head. I can see myself buying them again for a backup, just to have it. I also think I'll end up buying other resistance measures later for other editing and listening purposes. I currently use it with a basic audio interface (Scarlett 2i2), and I also use it sometimes with my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Only a slight warning: the cord is long and can't be removed from the headphones themselves. Fortunately, I had already anticipated that pre-purchase, so it's not a problem, as the DT770s have a substantial reputation among pro mixers and audiophiles. This is one of my best ... These headphones sound great, especially for the price, made in Germany too.They are of metal and plastic construction meaning that they will last a lot longer than plastic only ones.They have replaceable parts that you can buy so you can actually service them.Comfort wise they are perfectly fine for me, I can wear them for about 5 hours before having to take them off.They block out external sounds really well for the price as sometimes I sit right next to an air pump whilst using these at times and they block it out almost completely.Overall they sound great, have brilliant build quality with their metal headband, have replaceable parts meaning these things will last decades and not cost you the price of a new pair ever time something small breaks due to wear ... My other Headphones i use to compare to are Meze Audio Classic 99, Grado 325i, and Sennheiser HD600's the only reason for a 9 out of 10 is due to the Power Demands these need to really Sing, and the fact they don't have changeable Cables. I bought these headphones to compliment my HD 599 SEs . I was not able to use the open-backs when there is someone else in the room / when my PC spins up due to the noise. I resigned myself to the banes of a closed back headphone and bought these.Lo and behold ! Amazing soundstage with an airy sound. While do miss the soundstage of the 599s these are not lacking in any way , especially for being closed backs. The build quality is amazing - they are built like tanks and can survive many a year in your collection if treated a little carefully. The only downside of the build is that the cable is not detachable.Version:I bought the 32ohm version so that I can drive them off my phone/tab and the pleather that comes with the 32ohm version has outstanding noise ... I also wanted a shorter cable in case I use them at the office.Sound :Outstanding , tight punchy bass but not muddy in any way at all. Listening to Bad guy by Billie Eilish felt like I was listening to another layer of the sub bass for the first time.The mids are clean and unpolluted but quite unremarkable. In songs with heavy vocals, I did miss the mids of my HD 599.These are bright sounding in the treble region - almost to the point of being a flaw. It was outstanding for my music choices it did hurt my sibling's ears half way through Anoushka Shankar's Monsoon Album. It depends on personal tolerability I guess. Although this was easily fixed by eq, please be aware if you tend to be treble sensitive.Amp needs :They(32ohm version) are driven to a pretty high volume very easily by an iPhone and the apple adapter. I use a Fiio E10K on my desk and unlike the HD599SE, these don't sound significantly different with and without an AMP. I can hear slightly tighter and cleaner bass on my E10K but that may just be a bias.Cons :-Bright , sibilant sound at high volumes. Fixable by EQ-Fixed cable.

Not on or in but over.This way they are way more comfy because your ears aren't being squeezed or stretched or any of those other "s" words.They sit normally in a sonic cathedral of the headphone and the sound is allowed room to breathe and therefor to look (hear/sound?) it's best before it enters your ears.You won't miss anything using these, every nuance (yes, I did have to check the spelling), every tiny shape of the sound is transmitted through the cable into the headphone and then into your ears.The sound is so real that it's like having the ... While going through some reviews in different forums there was one person who clearly mentioned the differences between the different impedance models. The 250 ohm is more balanced with a greater sense of depth and seperation with a little more openness.That review made my buying decision and I bought the dt 770 250 ohm model. As I already have a Ifi Zen Can powering the headphone was not an issue.After receiving the headphone initially I felt the sound a little piercing in the high frequency range (as I was used to hearing the Sundaras). I used an android EQ (Wavelet app) brought down the 9.6k band -2.5 DB and now it sounds perfect. Amazing clearity, depth and sound stage with a little more distinctive bass than the Sundaras.I am happy with this purchase and satisfied with the sound of the headphones.
After 2 days of burning them, they sound really good.Yes, a tad bright but nothing that an equalizer can't fix. (I followed the Harman curve target for non-monitoring purposes)The sound stage is lovely for a closed back and a detailed but not overpowering sub bass is refreshing.At a sensitivity of 96 dB they don't get as loud (This troubled me initially). But the point of a good set is that you can resolve the details even at lower volumes.Believe me, I mostly listen to them at 60-70% volume now. Good for the long-term hearing too :)I was also looking for the silver-grey velour earpads and the team got them for me O_O. The pleather pads have ventilation holes in the back and are equally comfortable as well.An awesome experience overall and money well spent.
