Bioderma Hydrabio H2O Micellar Solution Pump 500ml

Best micellar water I’ve tried so far. After getting irritation and dry patches with Garnier varieties, I read about this and gave it a go - happy I did! It’s much more gentle than Garnier’s and I feel like my skin still has moisture after cleansing with this product. I use it on a larger cotton round saturated with this and it works great to remove all traces of face makeup without harsh rubbing or tugging. No need to rinse afterward, but I usually use it as first step in double cleanse, as this works best for my skin and amount of makeup I wear. It will sting a bit if you get too close to the eye inadvertently, so I take off eye makeup before using this product to avoid that. Leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean, ready for second cleanse, but even on lazy nights where I can’t be asked to do my whole routine, it works well to remove everything and I don’t wake up with breakouts, dryness, or irritation. Great on no makeup days for a quick clean, too. Bigger bottle (16.7 fl. oz.) lasts me two to three months with near daily use, and it comes in a mini size that’s perfect for travel. Love this product.

This is my favorite micellar water formula, due to the inclusion of niacinamide, which my skin loves. It's as effective as the pink capped Bioderma, which I have also used and loved, but I like this one slightly more. I use it as a makeup remover for most days when I am wearing light makeup, but for more heavy duty makeup I prefer the speed and convenience of an oil cleanser. It does remove everything, but if you're wearing a lot of makeup you'll need to go through quite a few cotton pads and it'll be a tedious process -- ain't nobody got time for that. Lately I actually find myself reaching for it as a morning cleanser because it's so quick and gentle. Is it super hydrating? I'm not sure. Lately I actually find myself reaching for it as a morning cleanser because it's so quick and gentle. Is it super hydrating? I'm not sure. I don't look for lasting effects from something that's designed to clean my skin. However, I do find that it doesn't dehydrate, strip, or disturb the acid mantle of my skin, and that's really all I require beyond getting my skin clean. As an aside, please be aware that the Garnier micellar water with the blue cap is NOT comparable to this at all, though the pink capped version is very similar to the pink capped Bioderma. The price is reasonable if you buy the large bottle, as it really lasts a long time. Packaging is a squeeze bottle that closes very securely, but you can't actually remove the entire cap which makes decanting for travel very inconvenient. They do make smaller, travel sized bottles, but this is still annoying.

Listen up. I hate washing my face when I’m not showering. There’s something about getting my hands and shirt and hair wet that makes me less motivated to do it. I don’t wear much makeup so I’m even less motivated to wash at bedtime. I picked up micellar water about a year back and I am hooked. This stuff in particular is great. It has a light, clean scent. It does feel hydrating, in fact it makes my face a bit tacky until it dries down. Best of all, it hasn’t made me break out like other brands I’ve tried. I use it with a microfiber cloth that I rotate out everyday.

I've been using this product every morning for about 10 years. It isn't my favourite Micellar water, but it's my favourite at a price I am willing to pay. When this is on sale, I can pick up a 500ml bottle for around $20 Canadian. Pros Flip top bottle - easy to keep the contents free from germs. Large bottle for the price point. Lasts for a long time. Removes make up well, even waterproof or long wearing. Still need to follow with your favourite wash off cleanser as a second step. Slight, gentle smell, that dissipates quickly. Cons Scented Can cause my eyes to sting if I soak the cotton rounds I use it with to be overly saturated. Makes my face feel sticky upon drying. This can be alleviated by following immediately with a hydrating toner/essence, serums, and ... MoreI've been using this product every morning for about 10 years. Bioderma makes the best micellar waters

I have had a few Bioderma Sensibio H20 bottles over the years (the pink one) and when I saw the Bioderma Hydrabio H20 (the blue one) at the latest BeautyHeaven Rewards Room, I knew I needed to try it to find out what was the difference. I actually though I was going to get the standard 250mL bottle but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I got a whopping 500mL bottle of it.The bottle is made of a sturdy clear plastic with a semi-transparent flip top lid which exposes a small hole which is just the right size to allow me to control how much product I am dispensing into a cotton round (or micellar re-useable pad). The micellar water is clear and has the appearance of plain water due to its lack of colour and viscosity but when you shake the bottle you can see ... MoreI have had a few Bioderma Sensibio H20 bottles over the years (the pink one) and when I saw the Bioderma Hydrabio H20 (the blue one) at the latest BeautyHeaven Rewards Room, I knew I needed to try it to find out what was the difference. It is also scentless.I have been using this micellar water by applying it to my face with either cotton rounds or re-useable pads and both are just as effective with this product. This formular is very effective at picking up all traces of makeup, even the most stubborn from my face without effort and is gentle enough to use around my eyes without any stinging.Unlike other micellar waters this product leaves no oily residue and is truly a non-rinse product. Though I must tell the truth that even though I don't need to I rinse afterwards I still do it as mentally I feel that I have to complete the rinsing step and I cannot break that habit. The big question is, did I notice much of a difference between this one and the pink one? Noting that the blue micellar water is supposed to be moisturising and is for dehydrated and sensitive skin, the pink one is formulated for sensitive skin. Personally I didn't notice a difference, they are both fantastic products to me and I would repurchase either one and since they are the same price, it doesn't really matter either way. Some people might be a bit hesitant regarding the price of this micellar water compared to others on the market (and I have used quite a few) but I will advise anyone that if you want value for money, this product wins for me hands down. You use a lot less product to get a much more effective and sensitive friendly clean therefore the same size bottle lasts a lot longer compared to the other brands.Made in France.

Excellent product

I discovered this brand about 6 years ago (during my teens) which I gladly appreciate because this saved me from sleeping with make up. I have been using this product religiously every night and I believe my skin thanks me today and will continue doing so in the future. This product never disappoints, this will remove anything except waterproof makeup. This product saved me from breaking out a lot.

Great product, recommended!

I have had atopic dermatitis for 20 years. Especially on my face. Red spots, peeling skin, dryness. A year ago, I started to use the complex of Bioderma products. IT WORKS! In the morning, I applied Hydrobio serum, Sensibio AR cream, and Atoderm Intencive eye. In the evening, Hydrobio micelar Water, Hydrobio serum, ointment, and Hydrobio cream (I learned and my dermatologist confirmed that ointment should be applied before moisture cream)+Atoderm Intensive eye. No red spots anymore, my skin moisture well, no dryness!!

It doesn't live up to the hype

I've tried several different brands of micellar water, and finally I got the Bioderma Hydrabio. I had pretty high expectations because Bioderma made the original micellar water. Sadly, it didn't live up to the expectations. The Hydrabio Micellar Water comes in a plastic bottle, has no scent, and it is super easy to use with a cotton pad.I used the Hydrabio Micellar Water as a first (and sometimes third cleanser) to remove makeup, so that I soak a cotton pad in micellar water, press it against my eyes and gently wipe off the makeup, then I go in with a cream or foaming cleanser, and then with micellar water again, if there's any makeup left. The Hydrabio was good for removing low-key makeup (think mascara+eyeliner or minimal eyeshadow), but didn't work with ... MoreI've tried several different brands of micellar water, and finally I got the Bioderma Hydrabio. I also tried to use it to correct small errors when doing makeup, and it wasn't the best for that.Using the Hydrabio never dried out or overcleansed my skin, but I never noticed any hydrating effects either.t

Really effective at removing makeup

It was exciting to see Bioderma’s Hydrabio micellar water in the recent Rewards Room, as I’m about to run out of their Sensibio micellar water and I haven’t tried this version before. I expected to get the 250ml bottle so it was a pleasant surprise to get a generous 500ml bottle.I should start by saying I wasn’t sure how this formulation would work with my sensitive skin. My first impression when pouring it out onto a cotton pad was that it’s scented which is disappointing. I tested it out after a full day of wearing SPF 50+ sunscreen and Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation. It took two cotton pads for my whole face and it was super successful at removing the sunscreen and foundation. I still double cleansed with my regular cleanser to make sure I got ... MoreIt was exciting to see Bioderma’s Hydrabio micellar water in the recent Rewards Room, as I’m about to run out of their Sensibio micellar water and I haven’t tried this version before. I don’t wear heavier or waterproof makeup so I couldn’t say how effective it is with removing that.I did notice that this formula felt a little bit more irritating on my skin unlike the Sensibio plus the Sensibio is unscented. It is quite pricey but the Bioderma micellar waters seem to be quite effective so they’re worth purchasing during a good sale. I would probably repurchase the Sensibio over the Hydrabio in future but this would probably work really well if you don’t have sensitive skin. Thanks BH for the opportunity to try this.
