BioLite 750 Headlamp

$152.00

(120 reviews)

The BioLite HeadLamp 750 professional headlamp has a maximum luminosity of 750 lumens and is splash-proof (IPX4). With its combined light cone, it is ideal for all outdoor activities such as jogging, hiking and mountaineering. With key features such as a burst mode with 750 lumens, constant brightness control and a red tail light, this headlamp is a real highlight. The red light maintains the eye's dark adaptation and prevents other people in the group from being blinded. When the nights get longer again and it sometimes gets dark in the late afternoon, it's time to bring out the headlamp again. Whether you are jogging, cycling or simply out for a walk - in the dark, the red rear light helps you to be seen better in every situation and thus prevent avoidable accidents. 3D SlimFitThe extremely high wearing comfort compared to all competitors is achieved by the patented "3D SlimFit Construction". The "3D" stands for the three factors with which the wearing comfort is to be achieved. One of these factors is the lamp itself, whose construction is significantly flatter than normal, so that it sits directly on the head and does not lose its hold or slip even during abrupt movements. Smart FabricsThe seamlessly integrated headband ensures an optimal fit of the lamp construction on the head through the use of breathable materials and its non-slip properties. This means that after a short time you forget that you are wearing anything at all on your head, while the lamp continues to shine with a brightness of up to 750 lumens, with 8 different light modes available.

I wanted to love this headlamp. I needed something for trail runs that gives the contrast you need to not end up on your face. The output is amazing, I love the memory and all the different settings. Does an amazing job illuminating the trail. What I don't love about it is how bulky and heavy the battery pack is. You can't run with it. The straps themselves are too slick, and the adjustment buckles provide no texture or teeth to hold the strap in place. Not even a half mile in to any run and its sliding and coming loose. If anything, I'd suggest a "lite" version (no pun intended) with stickier straps, and a battery back that is half the size. I do get that the runtime would be impacted, but this thing is just too hefty for running. I'm sure it's not the best ... MoreI wanted to love this headlamp. A lot of thought went into this lamp. While the full functionality of it seemed a bit intimidating at first glance all of it is very intuitive. Once you have it charged up and on your head its easy going. The little indicator flashes for 'brightest' and 'dimmest' are super helpful. The 8 second power on/off function is brilliant (no pun intended) as my other headlamps have run through the batteries while in my pack on a couple of occasions having turned on by accident in the pack. The headband adjustment is simple and effective. The band itself is comfortable and doesn't slide around keeping the lamp where you want it. We'll see how the power holds up in the really cold weather but for early December in Canada the charge holds up really well and recharges incredibly ... MoreA lot of thought went into this lamp. Don't rely on in cold weather

I've had this headlamp for over a year and I convinced my buddy to purchase it as well. I have never had any problems until I recently went on a hiking trip in the Pacific northwest. I had the unit fully charged on my Ascent of Mount Rainier. The weather was mild in the 40s Fahrenheit and I was shocked that within a half hour the light started blinking because the headlamp battery was almost empty after 30 minutes. Luckily my friend (who I convinced to also purchase this headlamp) had a spare (cheap) Energizer headlamp that he loaned me that worked perfectly fine with AAA batteries. then about 45 minutes later my friend who loaned me the spare (and was also wearing the BioLite 750) had the same problem with the battery being nearly depleted after just over an hour ... MoreI've had this headlamp for over a year and I convinced my buddy to purchase it as well. Extremely disappointed because this has been my go-to headlamp for everything but I never tried it in a colder environment. BioLite please work on insulating the batteries so that they are more protected in cold weather, and let your customers know that this is not recommended for weather in the 40s or below that. This created a very dangerous situation and almost caused me not to be able to summit. ☹️

HeadLamp 750, a peak into the design

I used a Petzl Tikkina for quite a while and it just wasn't that great, especially if you use rechargeable batteries so you don't need to always buy new AAA batteries. When researching a new headlamp I found that basically all AAA batteries are about the same runtime, so that excludes any of those for my next purchase.Eventually I heard about the 750, and reviewing the specs I thought it was too good to be true. Turns out it's exactly what I've wanted. Excellent battery life, flood light and spot light, dimmable, bright, great battery life without dimming to the point of being unusable in short time (like the Tikkina), pass through charging, and even more features. A lot of the negative reviews don't seem to know what they're complaining about or just complaining ... MoreI used a Petzl Tikkina for quite a while and it just wasn't that great, especially if you use rechargeable batteries so you don't need to always buy new AAA batteries. This absolutely destroys any other headlamp that uses AAA batteries. Not sure what else to say, if you need a bright headlamp with long runtimes look no further.

Missed the basics

Returned this after trying it on. There are two main issues with this headlamp. One, the elastic strap doesn't pull tight enough to hold the whole thing up when running. Two, the plastic buckles sit right over the base of my ears when the strap is pulled completely tight. Thus, the plastic buckles dug into my ears when I ran only 20 yd. In the photo, the buckle sits well behind the model's ear. When I loosened the strap enough to situate the buckles away from my ears as seen in the model photo, the battery pack started bouncing since the strap was too loose. Also, be sure to read closely about the light settings. This is advertised at 750 lumens, but it only maintains this for 30 seconds at a time. Check out the Tech Specs tab on the Biolite website for a table ... MoreReturned this after trying it on. Not worth it
17 November 2022

I have multiple Biolite products and love them all- including the HeadLamp 330 that has been my go-to for years. I bought this just over a year ago and last week the power button stopped working. It's stuck in the depressed position. After searching online, I see this is a common problem and there is no fix. And of course, it's 2 months outside of the warranty period. Biolite, why have you not recalled this or extended the warranty for this product if you know this is a problem? For the price, I expect better construction. It's a shame, because other than shoddy construction, it's a great headlamp. I loved the long battery life, pass-through charging, ability to dim, and flashing light option on the back.
