The Birkenstock classic Tokio SL has been on the market since the 1980s and has become a true classic in professional footwear for "white-collar" jobs. The clog features the anatomically shaped original Birkenstock cork-latex footbed and has a two-component sole. This consists of a cushioning EVA midsole and a slip-resistant, profiled outsole made of genuine rubber. The outsole is also resistant to oil and grease. Therefore, the clog is particularly suitable for daily use in hospitals, medical practices, and the hospitality industry.

I needed something really comfortable to work with, but these aren't it.I'm assuming the break in period is over, that's 100 hours in 2 weeks (the first 50 hours were terrible!) and what I can say is that I'm not surprised or blown away by the value and comfort.SI don't experience any comfort, just lack of pain and blisters. Also, the shoes are very spacious, yet the toe area rubs against my toes when I walk fast and or run which is very uncomfortable, maybe that part needs to be broken in as well? Ouch.Something to note is that the shoes are slippery on rubber mats.

The Tokio is by far my favorite style from Birkenstock, with the backstrap giving a more secure fit than Bostons. My only quibble is that the super grip sole collects a lot of grit & dirt in daily use. I prefer the regular Birkenstock sole which also has more give.

I am not impressed at all. The shoe has absolutely no cushion. The sole is a material similar to cork, and it's like walking on boards. I spend 10 hours a day, on my feet. They ACHE within the first few hours. I hate them. No matter how I adjust the buckles, I can't keep them on my feet. So I drag my feet everywhere I walk.

I have been wearing these everywhere from day one, including work.. I am a hairstylist. I am able to stand on them ALL DAY, with out getting tiered feet.. I love the adjustable strap at the back of the shoe as well.. I have had a injured foot & due to the width I have been able to continue working. The only thing I was a little disappointed with, was that the black rubbed off onto my foot through the socks I was wearing. That is starting to go away now..
I bought these after many of my colleagues had given 5 star reviews for them. They are very pricey, but I have high hopes that they will last me a very long time. Tonight is my first night wearing them, and so far they are great! the only thing I wish they had was more holes on the straps, but I can also easily add those in myself!
I've worn Birkenstocks for the last 30 odd years. Easily the most comfortable shoe around especially for broad feet. Try them!
Very fast delivery, the clogs are the best on the market. Most comfortable, keep feet dry and cool, well worth paying a bit extra. I have tried other clogs but all of them make your feet sweat and twist your socks! Pay the extra
Ended up returning because they were too big. I have size 39 sandals from Birkenstock and they fit great, but the clogs in the same size were too bulky and sliding off my heels even with the straps in the tightest setting. Would recommend sizing down if you can.
As always, these do not disappoint. Like the sole on this shoe along with the back strap. Very comfortable and a classic that can be worn to work as a nurse as well as with jeans and a sweater. This particular version is the wider one, not narrow so may not fit as well with narrower feet but otherwise great quality!!
I am a chef so having comfortable shoes with good grip is essential. These do the job and then some, very light for hours of work and very safe on smooth floors. this is my first pair but i will be replacing them with the same shoes. great quality shoe they feel very sturdy.
