I was hoping this would be the most convenient purchase to help with mopping and sweeping, but I was totally wrong. I can see the muddy mess that it leaves behind and doesn't vacuum it up, and it ends up all over my floor! Nothing better looking than a brown muddy clump of water laying on the floor when you expected it to be clean. And when its many muddy clumps its beyond disgusting. Most of the time my dirty water reservoir doesn't even get any water in it. I checked all the areas that could inhibit the suction power, but everything was clear. I had an issue with the battery and one day it didn't work, and support was able to replace it, but the brand new one didn't even suck up the dirty water.Disappointed and definitely looking for a better alternative than ... MoreI was hoping this would be the most convenient purchase to help with mopping and sweeping, but I was totally wrong. #sweepstakesThis Wet-Dry Vac was purchsed for home use in the Kitchen with vinyl flooring. Most of my cleanup needs are spills and dropped food from my messy cooking procedures, so this seemed like a better purchase than a typical cordless dry vacuum.PROS -1) Very effective at cleaning the floor. The "mop-like" rotary head seems to be move effective than brushes on cleaners I have used previously.2) Easy to manuever under cabinet toe-kicks and edges of floorboards. The main body is connected to the base with a ball & socket which lets you move easily with one hand.3) It's Cordless with a good runtime, so no dragging a cord across your newly cleaned floor. Mine reaches full charge in less than a hour afrer heavy use.4) The Docking Station provides a charging station and a base so the brush doesn't drip / drain on the floor. It allows a "self-cleaning" cycle which mostly cleans the brush roll and the internal plumbing. Hopefully that cycle reduces odor from the roller when not in use. The Bissell instructions want you to disassemble and wash out the roller and dirty water tank after each use, but I have used it serveral times a day and only self-cleaned between. Don't let the dirty water tank sit overnight without a through cleaning.5) My unit was purschase direcdtly from Bissell and was bundled with an extra brush roll, and 4 small bottles of cleaning solution - Two for Multi-Surface cleaning and two Sanitize solutions.CONS - The suction force is not enough to remove that last film of water and actually dry the floor. I follow behind with a old beach towel so I'm not leaving footprints on a damp surface. The leading edge of roller housing does not have a good flexible squeege edge to wipe the surface so that is a contributing factor. There is a "Omniforce" CrossWave showing 75 % greater Dry suction, but it costs over $120 than I paid and may not work better with liquid.

I really love this product. It truly deep cleans. My dog has a ton of hair and dander and it really picks it all up. Battery is great! The three improvements that could be made...1)if they had only made it be able to lie flat so I could get COMPLETELY under the furniture, that would be great. It seems this could be done easily with the right kind of connection point between the stem and the base. 2) It vacuums SO well, but it doesn't get completely up to the edge of my floors. The simple solution would be to put spinners on the side to sweep dirt under the suction. So, after vacuuming, I have to go around the edges or one could see an edge of dust. (I don't use it every day.:) 3) The manual says to clean after each use. I've completely quit using the wet dry part, ... MoreI really love this product. It truly deep cleans. I even vacuumed first, then would empty the contents and then would use the wet part to "mop" my hardwoods. And even though I've throughly cleaned and completely dried the filters (and I've even purchased new filters) I can't seem to get the majority of the dog hair to go past a certain point in the machine. After doing two rooms I have to empty the container because all the debris clogs at the top (and just beyond the filter.) Even with these flaws, I'd still recommend to a friend...just knowing that there are these flaws.

Having retired from a floor care business of over 40 years I am now only cleaning some 1400 square feet of hard floors in my own home. Not wanting to break out a mop and bucket each time I do them nor a side to side scrubber and wet vacuum for the ceramic, I find this powerful little machine more than adequate for the task! 3000 amazing rpm at the brush, plus GREAT suction in the pickup is a tremendous time saver! The multi surface brush gets down in the grout lines.Easy (1 minute) cleanup makes it a snap!We have many pets and this amazes me how it gets all of the hair off the floor and even the grout!Had I had this inexpensive little bugger vs. a Tennant IMop @ $6000 a toss, I would have used it for my small commercial restroom cleaning in my convenience store ... MoreHaving retired from a floor care business of over 40 years I am now only cleaning some 1400 square feet of hard floors in my own home. I got the crosswave cordless max as a gift 3m ago was one of the best gifts yet! I used it multiple times a week. It did leave some streaks but I figured out that #1 when goung back not to release water and then it cleans up the streaks also the streaks happen when the bottom of the crosswave gets dirt stuck near the mini wheels so if I wiped off those dirt it was better. However after 2.5m of enjoying it I was startled to get a dirty water tank alerjust after starting it up. And no matter how I tried to clean it, wipe it, dry it, tape it it didnt help for more than 5min. And so the end of my great relationship with the bissell crosswave cordless max ended as I returned the item. And now I'm in search for a new one that would better serve me for a longer stretch.
I was so excited and happy when i got mine in. Moved into our new place and has tile mostly but we have 2 dogs and one sheds like crazy. I have two other 2-in-1 mop and vacuum but buying the pads for them is very costly when you dont have a small home.. i thought this would be my money saver. Yes expensive but would be perfect. NO! NO! NO! I spend more time cleaning the vacuum after using and then doin the self clean cycle then anything. If you have dirty floors like dogs and kids that track dirt yeah it's a big muddy mess! I actually had to clean the vacuum in my bathtub and noticed it was clogged with mud chunks. The brushes are pointless to reuse because all they do is collect hair and just lays more mud over your floor! Really disappointed! For the price of this ... MoreI was so excited and happy when i got mine in. Moved into our new place and has tile mostly but we have 2 dogs and one sheds like crazy. Im happy yall support the animals and so forth but this product isn't for cleaning up anything that any animal sheds or puts out... dont buy this product unless you have no traffic in your house like kids, pets, or you just never have any dirty floors then this is for you!
This is by far the worst product that I've purchased in a long time. This vacuum doesn't pick anything up. It kind of just wets the floor or pushes dirt and dog hair around but it doesn't clean anything. I spent more time cleaning the tank and the brushes than I did actually cleaning my living room. This doesn't work on high carpets, low carpets, or vinyl. I thought, maybe the product would work better if I got the different/extra brushes to go with it but nothing made it any more efficient. I've only had it for 2-3 months and I'm already looking for a new vacuum because this is a waste of time and money. I don't think I'll be shopping with bissell for anymore disappointing surprises.
Yes, I love this Crosswave Hydrosteam. It was able to steam clean, and vacuum up to the edges of the wall. The Bissell floor cleaning solution leaves floor clean and shiny. It actually mops/steam/vacuums in one action on the steamer control function. And if you only need to vacuum hard floor, it has that control to vacuum with or without water in the tank, to get up a quick mess. I had dried chunks of food on the floor, and it took it up without a hitch, including a dried green bean on the steamer function. On my plank flooring, some tiny stuck-on-floor food particles, it could not get up, even with multiple pass attempts. However, the steam softened it, and was very little fingernail effort to scrape it off so easy; my pro vacuum cleaner can't even get up stuck on ... MoreYes, I love this Crosswave Hydrosteam. The Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam is a total game changer with hard floor cleaning in less time, by the steam scrub function that vacuums and washes the floor in one convenience. Ready to try the self cleaner; great to have that. Rinsing out the dirty water tank is easy. Thank you Bissell.
I like it and would recommend. I had a corded crosswave that just stop working. Was debating on replacing but wanted a cordless. I thought I would just use a spray mop for a bit, but I at the end of the day the mop didn't provide the results I received with my crosswave, so decided to make the purchase. I've now purchased both a corded and cordless crossover and have to say I prefer the cordless. It's just so much more convenient. This model is easier to use. It comes with two brush rolls. just wish one of the brushes was for wood floors. I had to purchase wood brush rolls. Overall a good product and like the results. My floors look beautiful and clean. No haze or build up.
