Momentum 3s is OK, not too heavy, not too bulky, pretty comfy. But... 3 caveats:The waist belt buckle is very difficult to adjust as I am unable to pull it snug by simply pulling on the end of the webbing when the webbing is doubled back through the buckle; I end up needing to fiddle and do tricks to get the harness tight enough. If you want something more fitting and comfortable for the same price either choose a larger size or go for a less premium brand.

Sizing makes no sense. I wear a 30" waist in every other article of clothing. The medium I purchased is sized 30-34 inches but when wearing it the padding doesn't even come close to wrapping all the way around my waist as shown in the photo. It is much smaller than my older version Momentum harness of the same size. Also gear loops don't stick out as much as older Momentum BD harnesses. I suppose that could be a pro or a con but it's definitely harder to clip gear. Otherwise seems to be a good harness, but I returned and ate the cost of shipping.

I am right on the small limit of this harness with a waist of 37 inches. However, that makes it more versatile for winter use with various layer options. I have been looking for a harness with the gear loops closer to the front as, at age 70, my shoulder flexibility has suffered and I have trouble crossing over my body to get gear in the rear loops of most harnesses. This harness helps with that and is very comfortable. Great price point. I would buy again.
I thoroughly enjoy this harness with robust padding offering outstanding comfort while still being lightweight and packable. The gear loops are very sturdy and hold everything that I need it to. A great economical harness for your assorted adventures.
Recently bought the Men's Momentum. I'm 50 and looking to do something active with my 11 year old. Having a blast in the climbing gym and this harness is the perfect balance of function, comfort and price.
This harness is great! Easily adjustable, and padded in all the right places. The gear loops are generous and can hold quite a bit! I usually don't like adjustable leg loops but these are easily adjusted and once you get then where you want them, they stay in place and you don't have to touch them again.
It's cheap, lightweight, not a lot of features. Can't go wrong with this basic harness from Black Diamond. For someone just starting out, this is the harness for ye.
