The price of the cameras is not bad. However if youre coming from, lets say, a Nikon system, youll need a speed booster if you ever hope to get any wide angle shoots. (A simple adaptor will leave you with crazy crop factors!) And those go for about 400.00. Youll also need plenty of extra batteries. Because of the camera power youll only get about half hour. If youre shooting out doors youll need need a portable display. The screen for the camera is useless in sunlight although a beauty indoors. All this is not to discourage youits to say: be prepared. If you can handle all the rest youre getting a top flight video camera!!!!

The best Cinema camera it should be in discussions with the Red and ARRI. Paired best with a full frame lens the super 35 sensor will not give edge distortion when paired with a full frame lens. The weight is very bearable. Functionality is definitely that of cinema quality.

I am very pleased with the 6K and monitor kit. It took sometime to get used to all of the buttons and features as would any new camera system. It produces great images and has worked well with Premiere Pro. I have not used Davinci Resolve yet, but will begin to use that for color correction as soon as I feel comfortable. Buy external batteries. The small batteries won't cut it. The Atomos monitor has been nice. Still getting used to it. I purchased the Samsung T5 SSD and it has been excellent. I combined that with a Tilta cage and it fits very well.
I was stuck, didn't want to go for the BMPCC6K Pro because I don't use internal ND Filters, I prefer to use my Tilta Matte Box with Variable ND Filters and on Gimbal I like using my Variable ND Filters that are threaded.I wanted the larger battery, and tilt screen and this fit my needs exactly.The image quality out of this camera matches up perfectly with my 4K and 6K Pocket Cameras and even matches up with my BMD 4.6K Pro when I change to V5 and add my Buttery Luts (Very little grading needed occasionally)Either way as a person who has multiple camera packages BMD has been at the top of their game lately and I am sure they will eventually put out the Box Camera we have all been waiting for, but until that time for $2000 you really cannot go wrong with BRAW ... Great value! Comes with a free $300 license for Da Vinci Resolve studio. I heard they used this cam to shoot a few scenes in Better Call Saul. My son like it so much. It has great quality, it is clear, and the screen is big enough. The only thing is it would of have been great if it took pictures like a camera. I guess it is only a video camera. Other than that, the camera is great!! It takes good videos; my son takes videos for his songs. I would recommend it to people who are interested in making music videos or taking videos for a trip.

If you think you'll be purchasing this camera to get film quality footage. you wont. The footage is nice, but no better than a Nikon Z6 or Canon or Sony Mirrorless because they left out CinemaDNG.If you're lucky enough to get an old model of the 4k you can downgrade and get CDNG back. But that is unlikely now. BM totally catfished us here. I guess you could spend much more time trying to grade your footage and shoot it perfectly to get CDNG like footage, but the clarity will be nothing like CDNG, the controls are nothing better than lumitri color.I hope BM at least releases proresraw soon. The camera is capable of numerous dimensions and codecs that I need including Blackmagic RAW. It's interface is almost identical to the URSA Mini and the layout is simple and intuitive. Great features and wonderful image productions.Just keep in mind the short battery life, probable need for a lens adapter, and the light weight. This camera is definitely the way to go for filmmakers and cinematographers concerned with getting an excellent image without racking up to much money on credit cards and what not.
