Blackstar Debut 50R Guitar Amplifier 50W Combo Amp - Black
Debut 50R takes the Debut range to the next level as the perfect “plug-in-and-play” 50W pedal platform. The concept of the Debut 50R is a simple and elegant, all-analogue alternative to entry level digital modelling amplifiers. Ideal for pedal players, the Debut 50R focuses more on tone and usability rather than unwanted “bells and whistles”. The features have been carefully selected to include two footswitchable channels, a patented ISF tone control, power reduction and built-in reverb - the Debut 50 covers all an aspiring guitarist’s practise and gigging needs. To deliver the natural sounding response of a valve amp, Blackstar’s Northampton-based design team have chosen to implement a discrete MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) preamp. The overdrive characteristics of MOSFETs are similar to those of valves. The R&D team have gone beyond other manufacturer’s MOSFET implementations to deliver a preamp design that is virtually indistinguishable from the chosen valve references. Features Simple to use, all-analogue pedal platform with digital reverb that is giggable and light with phenomenal valve-like tone. Blackstar’s exclusive MOSFET preamp design delivers authentic valve-like tones. Clean and Overdrive channels based on Blackstar’s awardwinning high-end valve products. Power reduction from 50W down to 5W allows you to play at lower volumes without sacrificing tone. Patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) tone control for the ultimate in user sound customisation. High-quality playback of Line input sources means you can use your Debut 50R to listen to music, backing tracks and more, through the speaker or headphones.

It worth Buying the Blackstar Debut 50r and also got Mofet technology , it got 2 Digital Reverb types - Hall and Plate ,push button up or down for different types Reverb, and you have 50 watts Power, push button to Reduce power to 5 watts Reduction, and push button for Clean to Overdrive, and you have to go buy a Foot Switch from BlackStar or 2 way Foot Switch. The Clean Channel is awesome for Clean Bright and you can get little Grit from Clean Channel for Blues Playing and the Overdrive Channel is ready for Classic Rock and it depends on how much Over Drive you use from Amp and same goes for Hard Rock to and also does Thrash. The Amp is light weight and it really easy to carry for Band Practice and Great for for 5 watts Bed Room Practice or Apartment practice. ... Blackstar Amps are awesome and They are way head of other Amps Companies and other Amp Companies make 100 watts Amp or 150 watts or 200 watts or Higher, you don't need all that power unless you are going play stadiums or Arena. It worth Going to Music Store and try out Blackstar Amps and the ID Core 40watts Amp or HTR 5 MK 2 Amp or Debut 15 or Debut 50r or Blackstar Fly , you don't know what you are Missing not Playing Blackstar Amp.

Over the past few years Orange has been producing some killer solid state amps. I can say this because I own an Orange Super Crush 100 head (it's AWESOME!!!), and have also had an Orange Crush 35RT (it was alright). Orange has been able to make an amp that challenged people sit up and re-think what a solid state amp could be. Blackstar took this challenge and knocked it out of the park. I own a Blackstar HT Club 40 (MKI) and it has been a beast! It sounds awesome and I absolutely love it...BUT. I use it mostly for practice in my garage and it always seemed like overkill to have a 40 watt tube amp for that purpose. I've always loved the Blackstar sound but haven't been all that happy with their solid state stuff. I've got an ID Core 20 which was ok, but it never ... I've always loved the Blackstar sound but haven't been all that happy with their solid state stuff. I've got an ID Core 20 which was ok, but it never quite scratched the itch of a plug and go amp with the sound I liked. The new Debut 50 does all that in a BIG way. This little package is absolutely killer! It is SUPER LOUD and sounds great. When comparing the Debut 50R to the Orange Crush 35RT, I can say that to me, the Debut 50R sounds better. While similar in size, the Orange came with a 10 inch speaker and sounded "boxy" to my ears. That's why I moved on from it. The 12 inch speaker in the Debut 50R seems to let it "breath" a bit more and gives it a fuller sound than what the Orange had. Speaker size DOES MATTER. LOL. And perhaps what I love most about this amp is that it is 100% plug and go-no USB, no computer patches, no fancy modeling junk. It's you, your guitar (your pedals, if you want them in the chain), and the amp. This amp is simplicity...GREAT SOUNDING, easy to use simplicity. I highly recommend it!

Sounds great on both clean and overdrive. The 5W attenuation is very, very useful, and the reverb is great. Haven't played with the ISF much, so far it's either 0 or 10. Fantastic value for money
