Recently we had to purchase a new dishwasher as the one in the house we purchased packed up. Having looked at a lot of online reviews about brand reliability and longevity we decided on this Bosch Dishwasher. As our main TV viewing is done in our dining room / family room immediately adjacent our kitchen, we were amazed at how quiet the new dishwasher is compared to our previous one. It loads easily and washes very clean so overall thrilled with our purchase. Also very happy with the service provided by Appliances Online re promptness of delivering our new appliance and taking the old one away. Price was best around and still seeing advertised specials from appliance providers at at higher price even in Boxing Day sales ads. Overall very happy!

From the outset, I will admit to being distinctly underwhelmed with respect to my Choice-inspired new dishwasher, which was bought to replace an older, very similar-looking Bosch machine. Having ensured no spillage from my kitchen’s previous incumbent, I was greeted with the most putrid water in and around the replacement. Not only was the rank-smelling, black water in the packaging (and subsequently all over my pristine white tiles) it was also inside the machine itself. Opening the door to my new Bosch was akin to perusing a Brisbane fish market during the height of summer. Disgusting, but I took some pics nonetheless. Having the issue fixed wasn't worth it when compared to the peice of a new appliance. I’m not sure why Bosch deemed it fit to dispense – no pun intended – with the time remaining option as a digital display or the option to stipulate a specific number of hours as a delayed start over and above the limited options of 3, 6 and 9 hours available on the current machine. For someone with solar panels and staggered departure times for work, I do like to set the start time for midday. The Series 2 reference has also been noteworthy as other correspondence lists this as a Series 4 model. Confusing. The non-stainless bottom section identifies this as a Turkish rather than German-made appliance but there are noticeable improvements and the DB level appears to have dropped since I acquired the older model.

I might be looking for new technologies to simplify the household job but too hard to operate program means you need learning the manual which is my headache part. The series 2 might be not my first choice but simplified program really being a good part to put love with it. Running a bit slow but pretty nice quiet and done the job properly in the end. Compare with other choices, the brand is very sounding and long story of dishwasher built means can be trusted. Good budget choice for a bit more than 800 with best brand and simplified operating system. Never be regretted. Prior to first use we notice straight away that there is a strange smell coming from inside the machine when we open the door. The smell is closest to metallic smell. We thought it is some sort of manufacturing smell that will go away after a few wash but we can smell it until now although it’s more faint compared to last week. We have tried to use the eco function however unfortunately the result of the wash is not clean at all. So we have been using the highest temperature for pots and pans even though we are only washing small dishes. Even with the pots and pans function the result still does not come out clean. We looked at all the info and aside from the fact that this tier is only in stainless, it looked identical to our old one. We should have looked closer though, as the design of the top rack has changed and it is effectively useless for stacking our glassware. Previously, the left side of the top rack had coated metal spikes that you could use to hold your glasses in place. Now they have a wavy piece of non-removable plastic that means that unless your glasses are EXACTLY the same as whatever they designed them around, you can forget it! Other than that, the unit is well-built and functions well, we just have to hand-wash glassware, which is very annoying. After 15 years we needed to update our dishwasher. Bosch was recommended by an appliance technician, checked it out at our local Good Guys, liked the look of the stainless steel cabinet and the internal layout, we bought it. Plenty of room for the plates, pots & pans and cutlery. I like that the spikes can be folded down making room for my large slow cooker in the bottom rack. Love the knife shelf, never had one of those before. I use it one the Auto 45-65 or Eco 45 setting and find these wash extremely well for our needs. Lots of easy to understand instructions in the manual that came with the machine. Would I recommend this bosch product? Absolutely, yes!
Okay it washes dishes but...Instruction Manual is not well written. It's hard to follow.There's no sound after it finishes washing.Buttons on the panel are not so well designed. I don't know how hard or how soft I should press.Indicators and descriptions on the panel are not meaningful at all.For example...After it's switched on (On/Off button is pressed), Active indicator fleshes and Rinse Aid indicator lights up in red. After Start button is pressed, washing starts. Active indicator turns from fleshing to red and Rinse Aid indicator stays red. Near the end of washing Active indicator light goes out and after a while Rinse Aid indicator will go out as well and the washing stops. I purchased this dishwasher to replace an older model in a newly purchased apartment. I was looking for a machine that washed well but without too much noise. Our kitchen adjoins the living area and we wanted something quiet that would allow us to entertain or watch tv without the sounds that can come from noisy washing dishes. This model is perfect for this with limited noise and with a great wash each time. If you are looking for a less expensive washer for a smaller space I happily recommend this machine. While aspects like a hard plastic rather than steel internal base and a limited range of programming options make this not as attractive as more expensive models. However, I think the reliability and performance of this model represent good value for money.
An easy to operate dishwasher you don't need a degree in controls technology to make it work. There are 4 programs selected with a knob but mine will likely stay on Auto 45-65DegC. It has a delay start capability (9,6,3 hours) to take advantage of time of use power tariffs. A 1,3,5 hour option would have been better in my opijnion. The baskets are functional with cups able to achieve a nice tilt to facilitate draining properly. The rear lay-flat plate rack needs to be all up or all down better to have half and half so you can have one pot and the rest plates but there is also a plate rack at the front so it's not the end of the world. The supply water hose has a flood prevention device on the faucet end. We decided replacement rather than repair given age, however I suspect repair would have given us many more years. This model doesn't have any of the bells and whistles (and is almost identical to the 15yo one we replaced) but honestly, who needs them? It has the basic settings needed. It runs without hassle, cleans dishes beautifully and has less "bits" to go wrong. Solid construction, so it doesn't feel cheap and nasty.
