Really pleased with this amp. I blew my last amp up trying keep my vocals heard over my band at practice. I'd heard there were some feedback issue at higher volumes but have found nothing to concern me, just the normal issues with any amp. Great tone options. Also several good output options. You can have separate channels or a mix at the flick of a switch.Built in looper and harmoniser are great little extras, the footswitch that comes with it is a bit light weight with no lights on it to indicate what's on and what's off so will investigate a separate switch I think.Overall it's a great little unit.

The weight of the Singer Pro is the main negative point, so much so, I've had to buy an additional lighter amplifier (a Roland Chorus AC40) for busking which was under half the Singer Pro price and about one third of the weight. The sound of this twin-speaker AC40 amp was at least as good as the Singer Pro. Sadly, the AC40 has been phased out. Singer Pro weight around 15Kg and AC40 5Kg. To be fair, the Singer Pro has a Loop function and a Harmony funtion (both of which I haven't used). Audio Output seems very similar volume. Interestingly the Chorus effect on the Roland AC40 feels more effective and its manual says the Chorus is fed to one speaker with the raw ouput diverted to the other speaker. The manual says this allows mixing of sound outside of the amplifier. ... MoreThe weight of the Singer Pro is the main negative point, so much so, I've had to buy an additional lighter amplifier (a Roland Chorus AC40) for busking which was under half the Singer Pro price and about one third of the weight. One last thing; the Singer Pro comes with a plastic footswitch ...not mentioned so I bought an additional one.

This compact powerhouse is perfect for acoustic gigs, recording and creating. The features are well thought out and sound quality is top notch. The amount of flexibility in sound for acoustic guitar is stunning and vocals sound full/ warm.Highly recommend as a rehearsal/gigging tool

The amp itself is fine, but the vocal harmonizer (which is the main reason that I bought the amp) was a disappointment. I already have a TC Helicon voice processor pedal and I wanted to replace my amp/pedal combo with a smaller single unit. I was also hoping that Boss had somehow improved harmony technology, but this harmonizer still has the same problems as any harmony machine. (Maybe my expectations were too high.) The harmonizer sounds pretty good as long as you play major chords and if you strum. If you arpeggiate, it apparently can't identify the chord and the harmony jumps around. Similarly, if you strum anything but major chords, such as seventh or sus chords, it apparently can't figure out which part of the chord to harmonize with, and it doesn't sound good. ... MoreThe amp itself is fine, but the vocal harmonizer (which is the main reason that I bought the amp) was a disappointment. Also, if you play embellishments, like hammer-ons, it will confuse the harmony. So, if this were a regular acoustic amp, I'd give it five stars; but the disappointing harmonizer brings it down for me and I'll be returning it.
I have only had the amp for a short time, so I'm still exploring the envelope. The foot pedal has a little bit of a learning curve, but I'm getting used to it. It's click-less and completely silent, which is great, but the lack of haptic feedback make it difficult to tell if you have pressed the switch or not. I'll either get used to it or buy an upgrade later. The reverb and chorus are very rich and natural, as well as noiseless. It seems to have plenty of power, but I haven't played out with it yet. One reviewer mentioned disappointment with the harmony, but I'm having the opposite experience. I play with a lot of minor chords, as well as open 9th's and 11th's and all that kind of moody junk. The harmony works great with it. The harmony also keeps up with ... MoreI have only had the amp for a short time, so I'm still exploring the envelope. The harmony works great with it. The harmony also keeps up with hammer-ons and pull-offs just fine. I can see where it might have trouble with arpeggiation, but then the processor is only getting one note at a time to work with. The harmony only gives back what you put in. If you are off key or your guitar is slightly out of tune (as I found out with a new set of strings during break-in), of course the harmony goes off the rails. If you sing in a breathy voice, the harmony recedes into the background. It reminds me of an old expression from the early days of computers: GIGO. Ask an old-timer if you don't know that one. Basically, it's just giving back an imitation of your own input, and it is brutally honest! I've been making practice recordings and already have improved on some of my lazy vocal technique. I waited two years to buy this thing and my only regret is not buying it two years ago!
This amplifier has so much going for it with so many features. It's sturdy, compact with a fantastic build quality.I'm a singer/ songwriter so the appeal of having an amplifier that featured amplification for both guitar and voice with the added bonus of a harmoniser and a looper built in was definitely a feature that appealed to me. After checking them out both are excellent particularly the harmony function which I have been using to great effect, its precise and great fun. A plastic footswitch does come with it but I will be buying the more study Boss Fs-6 footswitch to control the looper and harmoniser. The anti feedback notch is a fabulous addition and is much needed when playing acoustically as we all know playing live does come with the inevitable feedback ... MoreThis amplifier has so much going for it with so many features. Love it!The acoustic resonance feature is great for those whose pick ups aren't the best and it certainly improves the sound quality. The built in chorus is perfectly fine - I have my own boss chorus pedal - and the reverb and delay for both channels are really good. An excellent combo amp that has so much flexibility and suits my needs as a performer. It has outputs that can be used when connecting to a PA for a bigger venues but has a real punch to it for more intimate occasions. Highly recommended. Great amp, worth every penny!
Overall:I've been playing and singing for 40+ years just for fun. I grew up with a singing Father (country music) and he taught me how to play. I have always played for friends and have played at parties and even a wedding. Recently I decided to upgrade my equipment and started looking at multiple amps in this range. I have the Roland AC-60 and love it but I wanted something with more power so I didn't have to mic through a PA. I went to a local music store and tested the Fishman (180 watts) and loved it. Then I played through the Boss ACS Pro and fell in love with it's sound and it's options. Luckily one of the employees at the store gigs and has one so he took me through all of it's options and abilities. It has all the great features and sound other acoustic amps in this category have except it adds a Harmonizer and a built in Looper. I was blown away. The Pro pushes out 120 watts which is more then enough power for me. It's not much bigger then my Roland AC-60. I tested it outside on our deck when we had a small party and it was perfect. All my friends were blown away at how great it sounded and more importantly how good it made me sound. Roland, Fishman, and many others make great sounding amps, but for my needs and the options it offers I absolutely had to have it. Thank you zZounds for making it possible.
Overall:I play the occasional acoustic gig, and this amp has been outstanding. The guitar and vocal tones are true, and the harmony vocal feature is a fun touch. It comes with a footswitch, but it’s a bit flimsy. I got the FS-6, and it works nicely. My resonator guitar sounds great through it as well.I’ve played outdoor areas as big as 100’x100’ and have never had to turn up past 6. The controls are super user friendly. No screens to scroll, just good, old school knobs.I highly recommend this amp.
I did a tremendous amount of research selecting a new Acoustic amp. Considered many different ones. I am a big fan of Fender amps. Have 2 (one for electric and one for bass). They are great. But the Boss Acoustic Live had a true to form authentic guitar sound. When you add in the Harmony function for the mic input, you have a real winner. I narrowed my choice to two. Fishman and Boss. Boss won!I would suggest you try out different amps with your own guitar and decide on the sound yourself. This really helped me finalize my choice. The Harmony function was a great "icing on the cake".The Boss Acoustic Live Pro has a limited, but effective number of effects on both the guitar and mic input. It is easy to set up. I sold a Circa 74 to buy the Boss Acoustic Singer Pro. I'm glad I did. I used it at our gig this week. I preset the chorus, harmony, reverb, and echo on the amp and used the GA-FC foot controller to turn the effects on and off as needed depending on the song. Worked great, and I suggest you get one with the amp to fully use all the great effects this amp has. I am impressed with the chorus, harmonies, and lush and natural sounding reverb. We were playing in a 55' by 35' room, and the amp had headroom to spare. The main thing I like about this amp is that I can use my Rainsong, Gibson, and Taylor guitars, and make them all sound great using the EQ, acoustic resonance, and level controls. The Gibson and Rainsong have L. R. Baggs VTC and Stage Pro Element electronics ... MoreI sold a Circa 74 to buy the Boss Acoustic Singer Pro. I'm glad I did. I used it at our gig this week.
