BOSS LS-2 LINE SELECTOR

It does exactly what it implies. It allows you to have to seperate selected loops of effect pedals at the ready with an additional bypass line in effect making it three seperate lines. I keep my effects on the bypass and Distortion pedals on line "A" & Overdrive pedals on line "B" typically. This allows me to add any effect on the bypass line to a "Selected" line. (Distortion/ Chorus) (Overdrive/Flanger) (Chorus/Delay) excetera. I like.what it does so much I'm currently running 2 on my board.

Does exactly what you want/need

This pedal is very straight forward. You want to output to a couple of amps? This will do it. You want to switch between a couple of instruments into the same amp? This will do it (great for switching between guitar and keys live). Want to switch between a couple of effects pedals at the same time? This will do it. It’s not glamorous and you may not feel like you want to spend the money since you don’t get any fun tones from it - it’s not an effects pedal, it’s a tool. You may not know it, but you need it.

Essential & flawless

This pedal is exactly what you'd expect and exactly what I needed to perfect my pedalboard. Received it neatly wrapped in what looks like stock market page of a Japanese daily paper, on the first day of the designated period. Boss LS-2 is my first choice and a pedalboard essential due to its ability of blending various pedal sounds at desired rates, no matter how unfavorable the sound of it'd be if you were to use is alone (think of Boss MT-2). I sense this store will meet more of my needs in the future. Thank you!

Flexible signal routing.
8 June 2020

I own 3 of LS-2 Line Selector Stompboxes and don't use them to there full potential. I have used two of them for years to select and route the piezo and/or the magnetic output from my electric guitar. A cool feature is that you can also use the A or B channel as a volume boost.I recently purchased the 3rd one I to individually select or mix distortion (channel A) and overdrive (channel B) effects on another pedal board.

Great Purchase

Interesting pedal that can meet a lot of needs. Can be used to blend a lot of different pedals to get unique tones or use to create wet/dry mixes of different ratios anywhere along a pedal chain. Limited only to the mind of the user. Good pedal and can be a great investment; mine definitely is.

Great pedal - great options

It's made by Boss - so it's build like a tank.If yours in noisy then look at your cables and routing - even you power supply - before you blame the pedal. I use Mogami 2524 and George L's on my board with high quality power source and there is no noise in my board - period. To the pedal - I use mine to pull effects in and out of the signal chain to keep my signal path quiet. I have two - and each pedal has two loops each.I have one pedal with Octave-->Dist-->EQ in one loop and my Tremolo pedal in the other. The other LS-2 has my Digital Delay in one loop with a volume pedal after the delay. Run your delay full wet and use the pedal as A+B-->Bypass - so you have a good dry signal and use your volume pedal to mix in the delay's wet signal - it's a really cool ... MoreIt's made by Boss - so it's build like a tank.If yours in noisy then look at your cables and routing - even you power supply - before you blame the pedal. High-frequency Noise Generator
17 September 2020

I purchased this to switch between two amps/effect chains and it will do exactly that with no problem. The issue is that this unit introduced an annoying high frequency whine into my signal chain. I verified it was the LS-2 by removing every other variable and confirming that the noise was only present with the LS-2 in line both on adapter and battery power. This one's going back!

Magic

Perfect solution to a longstanding flaw in the design of the with Fender standalone reverb unit Anyone intimately familiar with these knows that they roll off a lot high frequencies. The problem is the foot pedal itself. When activated (reverb on), the entire length of the foot-switch cable acts like a capacitor to ground and thereby leaks treble frequencies. The key is taking the the unit's foot-pedal out of the game entirely, i.e. unplug it. In which case the reverb by default is on. So how do you make things foot-switchable again? The LS-2. Run your mix 100% on the Fender reverb unit, send/return this through the LS-2 and use it to foot-switch in the desired mix.

Not Perfect but very useful

Not a looper. A buffered line switcher. I need a way to balance 2 effects loops. One had a pedal that suffered from less than unity gain. This did the trick. My only issue is that there is some high frequency roll off beyond 10khz. I found that this was only an issue with my TS808 reissue. Using the TS808 through the LS2 took away some of the hard edge grind I wanted from the TS808. Boss pedals such as DS1 or MT2 did not appear to suffer from the HF roll off issue from the LS2. One would think frequencies above 10k would not matter to guitar but high order harmonics play a role in wave shaping. With that said I am planning on getting another LS2 to set up another pedalboard. It is possible that the TS808 does not pair well with certain buffers/analog switches in my ... MoreNot a looper. The MAGIC PEDAL!!!
22 February 2017

What did you say? You don't have one of these in your arsenal of effects? This IS the magic pedal... let me explain: you can blend any pedal or pedals with any pedal or pedals in parallel ! Yes, you heard me, you can create new pedals from your old pedals by combining them in parallel. Or plug three audio sources in to one out or one in to three out. You can tame any unruly pedal with the volume knobs on the channel your running through or blend the pedal with your clean signal, Great for bass. Get one and learn to create new soundscapes, you won't regret it, and you will find endless uses for the routing capabilities that other boutique brands claim but fail at for a fraction of the price.
