Brabantia Retractable Clothes Line 22m

I've had Rotary Clotheslines in the past and now that I have a nice area for sitting out in I wanted a clothesline that I wouldn't have to be looking at all the time. The Brabantia Retractable clothesline is perfect if don't have a large area and also if you don't want the clothesline to be seen when not in use. I am delighted with mine.

Brabantia extendable indoor clothesline

I am disappointed with this purchase. I assume that this line behaves like most indoor retractable lines and it certainly looks much better than others but the advertising and what is written on the box led me to believe that it would perform much better. The box clearly states that the line remains taut. No matter how hard I try to tension it and lock it a single dry pillow case makes the line sag. I also could not find any mention of the maximum weight that the line is designed to hold.

Compact and good quality

The whole unit was much smaller than expected but it’s perfect for my small balcony. Holds king size sheets or a few loads of washing. There was a delay in delivery due to stockist resupply but Ligestyle Clothelines were easy to get in touch with and responsive. I do love a more traditional clothesline cord as this one is string, but it is strong, light and compact. I recommend if you’re looking for a compact and good quality clothesline

Fabulous wash line

I needed a wash line that could dry all my king sized linen at one time. I went straight to the Brabancua web site to order as their products are always sturdy, modern looking and their service is reliable. Sure enough, I’m delighted with my wash line that has 4 lines, was quick and easy to install and looks very neat when not using! A fabulous buy, I’m going to order one for my daughter too. My Brabancia stand up dry wrack is JUST as stunning for small items!

Good quality as you would expect from Brabantia

This is, as all Brabantia products, well made and sturdy. It looks nice too. I am looking forward to getting it up on the wall. That was the only small problem, the two hooks needed had been omitted. When I contacted Brabantia I was dealt with very swiftly by a very polite, helpful person and the hooks are on their way. I envisage many years of good service from this lovely product, and lots of dry washing to boot!!

Handy Clotheline

I bought this for my under cover verandah to put sheets, quilts etc on to dry. It is neat and tucks away when not being used. The cord is not as strong as I would like but with 4 lines it serves the purpose. It would be good if it was more taut. I also wonder about the part which hooks into the levers on the wall. I thought this piece would be metal to last longer but it is plastic. All good so far but hope it lasts. Overall I am happy with the product.

Plastic internal line with a good brand name

Replaced an internal line for garage after about 15 years and decided to upgrade to the brabantia Matt steel version. Arrived and now installed. The line appears to be of reasonable construction and although the finish is Matt steel it is mainly a hard plastic product with a nylon line. Only time will tell if the extra cost of this brand will prove worth it. The line was easily installed but I did replace the cheap plastic plugs which were provided to secure to a brick wall with better quality ones. The line is now functioning as expected although the lines do sag a little as I expected but that is not unusual for the job they do.

Poor Quality

We moved from a house where i had the expandalines x 2. I decided when we moved to our new place that your stainless steel would look better. The quality is no where near the expandaline quality.Very disappointed. Pulled off the wall with the first day and hurt my wifes hand

Excellent! Really simple to mount, extends as required, strong recoil. Easy to hang washing to maximise air circulation. I have placed mine under external canopy.Fast delivery minimum packaging.

Review of Brabantia Pull-Out Drying Line / 22 Metres / Stainless Steel 385766

Have purchased versions of this previously for another house. While well made and look smart, unless extended to virtually full length, the 5 lines, do not to tighten properly, leaving one or two 'sagging' resulting in item sliding down to the middle.I have taken it down, with a send person to hold the 'body', extended the lines and locked fully extended, then pulled through excessive line and resecured the remainder, so that fully extended is just in excess of the of the overall length required. Remount the unit and bingo, all lines tighten pretty evenly
