I personally like this thermometer opposed to other forehead ones. I’ve had 4 different ones. This one has been most accurate. It’s a little bit of a range between temps but let’s be honest, do you have a fever or not? Medicine needed or not. I personally scan my children’s forehead 3 times before I decide. It’s super quick and easy. Ofcourse there is going to be a a difference people, it’s EXTERNAL. If you want EXACT, get a RECTAL. Being a mom and a nurse, my main needs are met. I am happy with this product and felt it deserved an honest review. I always recommend this one to people. It has also lasted me the money out of other forehead thermometers I’ve had.

Better in theory than in practice

I love this thermometer in theory. It is comfortable to hold and easy to use. Results are delivered within seconds with the reading illuminated by a red, yellow or green light as a visual indicator of how to assess the numbers on the screen. The ease is most notable when taking my children's temperatures; what is typically an uncomfortable experience for them and a frustrating one for me is now drama free getting us back on the road to recovery sooner. There is even a sticker on the thermometer to convey the proper placement when taking one's temperature (on the forehead, between the eyebrows). Glad we got this forehead thermometer! I was getting so tired of fighting with my Daughter and Son to do the ear thermometer especially when they are prone to ear infections, they were constantly fighting me to take their temperatures.This thermometer is very easy to use. Disappointing

I have used this a few times. When I would think my son has a fever I would check it a few times before determining if he actually has it or not, but it’s hard to do when each time it’s giving me a different reading BY A COUPLE DEGREES! I compared it with an old-school (15 yo) under the arm pit thermometer and while the old one gave me 101.2 this forehead one showed me 98.8. Like I said, disappointing. Especially after spending so much money on it.

This thermometer was so easy to use, I looked through the instruction manual to be sure I wasn’t using it wrong. When placing the batteries, there is switch that will toggle to reading between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Just turn on the device, place between the eyes on the forehead and hold still while pressing the temp button until the device beeps. That’s all! No moving the device across the forehead! The whole process takes only a few seconds. I checked the reading taken by this braun thermometer with the readings measured by other 2 thermometers which I have at home. The braun one is giving 2 degrees high temperature. It was showing my son has fever when he clearly doesn’t. I would say this is not the recommended one to read the body temperature.

Stopped working after 4 uses

We recently purchased this forehead thermometer and when it initially worked it was easy and quick. The problem was that it started giving dramatically incorrect readings after a few uses. We verified that the readings were incorrect with other thermometers and logic. I don't think you have a fever of 102 and then 94 ten minutes later. If you do buy one of these, make sure you have a backup.

Terrible

For starters I love the concept of this thermometer especially for babies, but this is terrible. When I received this thermometer I put in brand new batteries when when I turned it on it would say error. I kept turning it back off and on and it still kept saying error. I changed the batteries again with fresh batteries from a different brand and still had the same problem. Tried it again the text day and still kept saying error. I read all the directions and I don’t like the fact like I have to wipe the forehead clean before I take the temperature and after you wipe the forehead clean you have to wait 10 minutes for checking the temperature seems inconvenient. Worst

compared it to a CVS $20-oral, which on normal reads "97.5" , only now it keeps saying I have a 100.4-fever.So I sprung a little over 65+tax, and it says my temp is 98.I really wanted an ear thermometer anyway.This is a total reject. You must carefully clean your forehead, wait. "acclimate" the thermometer, wait.No, nothing helps, it reads too low overall, and it's very expensive, and the temperature varies a lot..So not a "great Value"Not meeting expectations,absolutely terrible for kids.
