Braun M30 Mobile Shaver

No photos, sorry. Gave it to my brother as xmas gift. Bought him a similar item from PHILIPS which broke down after A FEW DAYS so I decided on a Braun instead. Handy, (he likes the fact that it has a small cleaning brush attached to it already, at the bottom), efficient & uses AA batteries so he doesn't have to worry about charging. Great item! Highly recommended!

I hesitated after reading the negative reviews but thinking that Braun is a good brand I bought one anyway. It certainly shaves well so I think it's safe to say that the negative reviews are not worth considering. It seems like an excellent product at an excellent price. Came without the two AA batteries that are required.

In 2007 I purchased this model's predecessor, the "PocketGo 550". Although it wasn't my everyday shaver (I normally use a blade) it was used at least once per week. I kept it nice and clean and it has never let me down, until a few days ago when - after 16 years! - the original foil finally tore. Unable to find a replacement foil, I purchased a replacement - the "MobileShave M-30", which appears to be identical in every respect, except for the product labelling. It just goes to prove the adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". Well done, Braun for designing and manufacturing a brilliant, quality product at an inexpensive price!

Cuts 80% of beard hair.

This is the most frustrating product from Braun I have ever owned. It takes ten times longer to shave with this shaver than to wet shave. Even after 30 minutes shaving I am left with about fifty hairs on my neck and face that have not been cut. I returned this product to the store I bought it from however they told me Braun could not care less about customer satisfaction. I explained this was not only about customer satisfaction. The product does not work as advertised. The Braun nose and ear hair trimmer is just as bad and I bought that too. German Made has a different meaning nowadays compared to when I was a teenager in the 70s. I have owned many Braun shavers in the past (series 9 clean and charge) etc and yes this is cheap compared to them but it does not ... MoreThis is the most frustrating product from Braun I have ever owned. Shaver foil connector breaks - twice

The is the second Braun Travel Shaver that I have bought and they have both broken in the same area. The clips inside the shaver that hold the foil have broken twice now and the foil comes loose whilst shaving. On the first shaver it lasted 12 months before it broke and on my current shave it has now broken just 2 months after I have purchased it. There is a design fault with this shaver, as there is only one way to take the foil off to clean the shaver and this action obviously causes the inside connector to weaken. You know when the item is about to totally fail when the swing guard foil protector will only close over the foil from one side only (due to the foil not sitting properly). I will not buy this item again, I’ll buy another mobile shaver.
