Seems to give accurate readings each time, and it's gentle and super quick which is a must when you're dealing with fussy toddlers and kids who aren't feeling well. And the ear is much, much better than trying to get a thermometer to sit under the tongue! The digital numbers are easy to read, and the screen and sound also tells you the temperature range which is so cool. Green and one beep is good/normal, yellow/two beeps is a fever, and red/4 beeps is a high fever. Everything you need in a thermometer.

I like that this thermometer cab be used for both adults and children. It's a small, lightweight easy to carry one that makes it no hassle to take on trips outside. The 3 color indicators green, yellow and red gives quick insights before you read the digital display. Green is normal temp , etc. There is also a 12 or 3 beeps that accompany the color codes. It's easy for my teen to take the temp of younger siblings when they are babysitting . Comfortable fit in ear . Gives a peace of mind that an accurate reading is being taken.

I've been using Braun products and thermometers since my kids were little almost 30 years ago! I trust Braun to give me accurate temperature readings and the ThermoScan 4 Compact is as accurate and well built as every Braun product I have owned. Compared to my full size ThermoScan 7 the ThermoScan 4 Compact is much thinner and a tad shorter than the 7. It definitely takes up less space in a diaper bag or go bag when I am out with my granddaughters! Results are on par with the 7 and it reads much faster! Best of all the Compact uses the same lens filters as my 7 does! I am super happy with the ThermoScan 4 Compact and expect to be using it for years to come as I have all my Braun products to date!

I really don't like products that force you to buy "refill" type items just to be able to use the original product you purchased. This is one of those items. The thermometer won't read without a plastic cover over the ear piece. That was a really disappointing revelation. It should be your choice whether or not to use one. I did give an extra star because it does work well, otherwise it would've been a 1 star from me. It fits nicely in everyone in the home's ears, from 2 years old - 40 years old.
I was always hesitant to get an ear thermometer since I had no experience with them but this is fantastic. It read our temperatures within seconds. The ear piece is comfortable and it comes with covers. You have to use a cover for it to work which will be tedious when we run out however, this will solely be used for our daughter who is two and difficult to use a traditional thermometer on. The handle design is comfortable and I like that the battery compartment has a locking mechanism. Overall, I’m happy to have this when sickness hits and I would recommend it to others.
Honestly, all the components of a great thermometer for kids in one. The lens filters are genius for keeping things sanitary; not to mention the color coded readings to make interpreting the results a no brainer. Plus you don't have to worry about a crying baby that can't keep their head still to get a forehead reading! This is the only one you need, parents!
Get the temperature of your little ones quick with this. Easy to add sheilds for hygienic purposes this snaps on and off with no effort. Err message occur if you forget to change which is a nice reminder. Temperature shown with in seconds to determine if child has a fever and can be used even while the child is sleeping, no disturbing . This has a bright screen for night time reading, it is displayed clearly with no mistakes in numbers. I found this easier and more accurate then a oral thermometer. Not to mention the kids preferred.
I love this little thermometer! It is so easy to use! All you have to do is put it in the ear and click, and it gives immediate results. I love that the results are quick because my sick kids don't like me taking their temperature for too long. It's quick enough they barely even notice. I also love that it came with some caps so I can replace them after using to prevent the spread of germs. It's perfect for taking kids temps!
This ear thermometer is amazing I love that it comes with an extra pack of the disposable ear covers that cover over the tip of it for when you're taking the temperature. One thing I really like so much about this thermometer is that it comes with a brochure that tells you the different temps in the readings of what color to expect for a low grade a normal or a high temperature.
