A parental MUST-HAVE!

Calling all parents: YOU NEED THIS! I had a previous model which was also amazing, but wow the added features in the newer model are worth upgrading for! Quick and accurate temperature testing plus the age-range indicator were invaluable whilst my little one was suffering from croup and scarlet fever all at once! It stores the previous temperature taken, so no need to take photos of the monitor with my phone to remember what the last one was! This helped me see whether the paracetamol was having a reducing effect on the temp or whether I’d need to call the Out of Hours GP. The night-use function is also great as it meant the only beep was the one to switch it on (baby woke using previous model as it beeped each time you pressed to select the age-range etc). Braun ThermoScan® 7+ Ear thermometer is one of the best thermometers I tried in the last 7+ years. First of all, it’s very small, light and nice design. Easy to hold my child and thermometer at the same time. It comes with a batteries in the original packaging. Here is 3 functions for different age group, depending on my child age. Thermometer also have a night time function and makes my life easier then I need to check my kid temperature in the middle of the night. It’s very accurate and helps to stop the first signs of my child being ill. Due to amazing design and size, you can keep it near you at all times, as it won’t take a lot space. Easy to use. Overall amazing experience and already recommended it for my family and friends.

This thermometer is so good, it has an option to choose in between baby,children and adults.It is very accurate thanks to Age Precision technology. So clever!!!. Depending of the temperature there is a green, amber and red light. Green means it is normal, and red means there is fever. At night time is perfect as we don't need to turn the bedroom lights on to see like the normal ones. My baby has been very sick and I have been taking his temperature regularly at night time and he hasn't woke up as this thermometer has a silent mode. That's is perfect because we don't want to disturb poorly babies when they are asleep. Good but not perfect

I tested the thermometer. My son is 11 months old. I admit that taking the temperature can be difficult, especially when the child is grumpy and absolutely refuses to put anything in the ear. Therefore, it is difficult to talk about any precision in temperature measurement. I am currently using a non-contact thermometer and even if the measurement is not perfect, it is much easier to measure the temperature. Disposable overlays are also problematic. Sometimes the temperature needs to be measured several times a day, and the trays can quickly run out. Later, remember to buy them again. Overall, the thermometer looks good, but it hasn't worked well in our case so far.

The night mode is a saviour as it lets you take a reading without waking the little one up at all. The age range gives you plenty of confidence the reading is especially calibrated for the age of the person whos temperature you are reading. It is a doddle to use and the disposable tips mean that you never have to worry about the cleanliness of the unit in contact with the body. Once the temparature is successfuly taken a reassuring beep is heard to let you know it is all done. I only discovered the tip pre warming function later when I touched the tip with my finger and found it warm to the touch.
