I bought this 6 months ago and initially it worked great, however has now started displaying “ERR” error code. I have changed the batteries, wiped the sensor and still get the error code. Was very disappointed as the problems started when I had my baby and needed to use the thermometer the most. I returned the product and got the Vick’s thermometer instead.

I bought this as reviews were good and was advised to get a forehead style for newborn.My 3 year old had a temperature and the readings were so different seconds apart, when I took my newborn to hospital after a reading of 39 when we got there they took her temp and asked what thermometer we used when we told her she said throw it out it’s the most inaccurate thermometer just use an under arm one.

Test my baby's temperature with this thermometer for five times ranges between 37.8 to 38.9. Rushed to children's hospital emergency. Nurse took his temperature was just 36.5. Paediatrician said the touchless thermometers are very inaccurate.

Hi folks, Don't spend $$$ on this product- I bought this for my newborn and it gives me totally strange readings time to time, even 40C+ sometimes while a regular mercury thermometer was giving 36.5. I raised the concern to Baby Bunting where I purchased this and they sent it to the manufacturer, I'm still waiting for an explanation as to why its not giving accurate readings while they've mentioned that the accuracy would be +/- .3 degrees. Baby Bunting too were not so friendly.... I'm freaked, I purchased the most expensive that they had expecting better results.. Also, I figured that you can buy this for 80 bucks from Chemist Warehouse Cheers!
Oh it looks nice but it doesn't work.Within a few days it kept showing an error message. Turned it off and on a few times and it "worked" again.Except...one minute my son had a dangerously high fever, next minute his temperature was apparently normal. I could literally get 5 different reading in five minutes!Not. Happy. Jan
I had been without a thermometer for a long time since my last one had packed it in. Then one of my children got a fever so bad I couldn’t reduce it so I thought I better purchase. This product was sent out so quickly and I opened it as soon as it came. So easy to use and I live the coloured lights for those times you need to take a temp in the dark. Great product, highly recommend
For 8 years i contemplated getting this thermometer and am so happy i did. No more wiggly worms trying to get an accurate reading. Now i get the reading in seconds. My kids love the colour mode that shows if the temperature is good or not. 100% recommend. Worth the price
While the product seems ideal for a newborn especially the no touch feature it's not as accurate as you'd hope. It gives various readings on our newborn and it's hard to tell which ones accurate despite taking the readings in the same spot. Midwives have told us that our newborns forehead is too small currently to have an accurate reading and that they tried to use this device on the maternity ward but due to its inaccurate readings they had to revert to the tried and tested old devices that gave temperature under bubs under arms. The device is quite accurate when tested on myself and husband though so it looks like we'll just have to buy another one to use on bubs while she's so small.
I cannot believe i waited nearly 2 years before buying this. I was always put off by the price but seriously my child loves this. I use it even when she is well so she gets use to it for when she is sick and i cannot believe how easy it is - she thinks its fun! I always dreaded checking her temp (under arm) as she screamed but now no problem at all. Definitely worth the investment.
I bought this a month ago and it has been one of the best items in my First Aid kit! Whenever my baby is niggly, I quickly check her temperature without hassling her further and have peace of mind knowing whether she is running a fever or not! I highly recommend this product!
