Absolutely love my dehumidifier, bought this beauty over the crazy weather system in Sydney when I noticed mould starting to grow in my home. The instant change in the air and around my home was amazing after just two days of having this beauty do it’s thing.I also love emptying the bucket and seeing just how much water it takes out of the air in my home. I also put it in my clothes cupboard and let it draw all the moister out of the clothes,the difference this machine makes is amazing.

I am renting a house, and found it to be quite damp over winter. I purchased 2 of these dehumidifiers, and they are amazing. There is no condensation on the windows, and the dampness gone. They are much quieter than i thought they would be, as i had read other reviews stating they were noisy. I am completely surprised how much water fills in these machines. The only downside is emptying the water. They fill quite high, and removing the water container can be a bit difficult without spilling. I can't wait to see how these machines work over our humid summer!

The dehumidifier is working very well, but it should sit slightly higher to more easily remove the tank.If one has spinal pain this becomes a challenge, especially when the tank is full at 1 cm from the top. I now empty it before it can fill.There is now less water to remove but continuous rain doesn't help after soaking rain mid March.

I hadn't owned a dehumidifier prior, so don't have anything to compare it with, however I've found that the Breville Smart Dry Dehumidifier has been an excellent buy.We live in Brissie, so the humidity is high for most of the year.The dehumidifier is used in a bedroom-sized room.Amazingly by the end of an average day it's not unusual to have the dehumidifier's water container full to the brim(!).A down-side is that it does heat the room up somewhat, but considering the effectiveness of the product it's a small price to pay.
Works well as expected from a good brand. Very happy. Easy to set up and it is surprising how much water I collected over a few nights. Heading to warmer weather now, so don't use much more now.....but will be fantastic for next winter.(I use this in my bedroom, where it gets no sunlight.)I should have bought it before winter. Great unit!!
I love Breville products and have always been happy with their quality. My house is practically a Breville product showroom. I have a Breville air purifier, coffee machine, espresso machine, coffee grinder and vacuum. I bought this Breville dehumidifier for a small, 9m2 room, thinking surely it would be more than effective, given Breville’s standard of quality, and given the description of the product being effective up to 20-30m2 room sizes. But I have had the dehumidifier working in there on high for the last 24 hours straight, with the doors and double-glazed windows shut, even the blinds closed - and the humidity level is not declining, it’s just holding steady at around 50 percent. I’m so disappointed :( I would not recommend this product to others.
This is a nice appliance, looks good, is quiet enough not to be intrusive, and has good features.The tank capacity is good, better than most similar sized machines, and the tank is easy enough to remove, empty and replace. Since the tank fills up close to the top and has no lid, it needs care and is a bit awkward to carry when full without sloshing any water out. But with reasonable care, or taking a bucket to the unit to empty the tank into, this isn't a big problem.The specs don't quote performance capacity at temps other than 30 and 27 deg C. But at conditions with a room temperature around 20C and humidy at 60%, capacity is a bit lower than I would have expected, it takes a couple of days to fill the tank and collect 2.5 litres of water. I love the digital aspect of the dehumidifier, providing the humidity % for the room its it. Great way of knowing if its working or not, also has different colours for the different ranges of humidity. Can be tricky moving from room to room, a handle would be great with the wheels as its quite a heavy unit. Minor issues with the water tray, can be fiddly to pull in and out and can leak if you don't get the tray back in quite enough. I have found its not as powerful as I was expecting also minimal reviews as its a new product, in hindsight I wish I went for a more well known/powerful dehumidifier as this only works in smaller rooms with all the doors shut.
This is a great little unit, it sits quietly in the corner and you dont even know its there. I was really impressed with the coverage. I would say the area i am trying to cover is 40-50 square metres and it has been able to satisfy my requirements, i get alot of moisture on the windows in winter and this winter the dehumidfier has been able to reduce and eliminate my internal moisture. I was only looking for something to trial out and see whether it was worth using on, I was looking for something cheap and this fitted my cost requirements too.
Big fan of Breville kitchen appliances but extremely disappointed with this purchase so far. Left running in a small bedroom (16m squared) with windows closed for 18 hours and humidity only reduced from 62% to 59%. Breville's 20- 30 m squared rating is completely misleading. Its also extremely, extremely noisy. I borrowed a well know dehumidifier brand a few weeks ago from a friend and it did the job so much faster and much more quietly, which prompted my purchase in the first place. But I should stuck with that brand! I wanted to buy Australia and have been a fan of Breville for a while but this got this one wrong. Very regretful about this purchase.
