[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I was finally able to get rid of my sticky greasy deep fryer, and my cumbersome heavy slow cooker. Swapped over to this 9 in 1 amazing machine, and Voila!! Gotta love the fresh bread smell on a weekend, easy midweek risottos and sautes, simple slow cooking recipes and a much cleaner and healthier way to deep fry with removal and storage of oil after each use. The clean up afterwards is no different to washing up your saucepan. Next- learning to make jam, cheese and yoghurt. **Game on Breville**

Really impressed with this Multi Cooker. Does just about everything you could want out of a cooker. Looks great set out on the kitchen bench and it is the cooker we reach for the most often. We purchased two, one for the caravan when we are travelling, excellent space saver because you don't need extra saucepans and appliances. There is a great recipe book you can download online and regular recipes are just as easy to use. Love the Stews and Bread, my husband loves making his own Yoghurt and Chips when he fancies something fried. Really easy to clean, one of the best appliances we have ever bought, this one will certainly not be pushed to the back of the cupboard.

Positives: Having the dough paddle gives this multicooker an edge over others, and gives lots more options for its use. It bakes a nice loaf and the crust is delicious. Rice cooks beautifully and the dough function results in perfect pasta dough. Have used it almost every day since we got it. Negatives: More detail on the cooking cycles would help, eg: so you can remove the dough paddle before the final proof and not end up with a hole in the bottom of your loaf, and add seeds to the outside of your bread (though you can figure this out in time). There are not enough recipes provided, and the ones that are in the online book are not exactly 'every day' items. Some more bread recipes would be a good start. When the bread cycle starts the flour gets thrown up and often settles down on the element under the bread pan, causing smoke. Best solution is to partially incorporate ingredients before you start the cycle, which doesn't work on a delayed start. Not confident it's safe to use on a delayed start overnight, in case it starts a fire. Also major issues with some off-label bread recipes rising over the bread pan and overflowing onto the cooking element. The viewing window fogs up and may as well not exist.

First bread was great from the outset!
27 April 2020

Looking around for a bread maker machine, I was doubting between the Panasonic SD-2501 and the Panasonic SD-ZB2512, but both were not available due to COVID-19 shortage of bread markers. So, I bought this one, and I (and my family) am VERY happy I did. Great bread, from the first bread (and every bread thereafter!) Just threw in the listed ingredients, turned it on, eh voila, 3h and 20 min later (or thereabouts) had quality bread.I would have liked the top a little darker, so I will go for dark setting next time (this was medium), and the bread is very slightly tickly woven, so perhaps a little more water or yeast may do it.The 900g bread was gone in 20 minutes as the family LOVED it. Kids came back asking for more over and over, till the bread was gone. And you know ... MoreLooking around for a bread maker machine, I was doubting between the Panasonic SD-2501 and the Panasonic SD-ZB2512, but both were not available due to COVID-19 shortage of bread markers. So, I bought this one, and I (and my family) am VERY happy I did. Now we have a bread machine which is also a slow cooker, and a fryer, and this and that. SUPER! Breville rocks.Update After a few more breads Dark setting 900g bread is ideal, and we use the ingredients for "French Bread" from the book the "French Bread" setting on the machine. The bread is EXCELLENT. Family loves it.

Good idea but bad design
18 May 2020

I've only used this twice since receiving it. Have only used the Bake function to make cheesecake twice. However, on the display panel, water residue (from steam?) started to appear from 15 minutes of machine starting until 12 hours later once baking is finished. This is alarming because it could short circuit the electricals on the display panel or worse, the whole machine. Still awaiting response from customer support. The downloadable recipe book is a good idea however, they are only a handful of recipes. Breville should make more recipes or do videos on how to maximise the use of this machine rather than leaving customers to do trial and error and wasting time (and food in case it fails). I bought this machine amongst other brands because it could possibly replace other kitchen applicances I own, but with little support from the manufacturer about its use then the whole idea of this machine's convenience is totally lost.

Great if you don't want to deep fry
31 March 2022

Everything was great with our multicooker until we tried to deep fry on the high setting. Multicooker stopped working on this setting and nothing worked again. Got a replacement from the store. Used all other settings without issue until we used the high setting on deep fry when it cut out never to work again, same as the first one. Loved it but unfortunately, deep frying was one of the reasons we bought. Now looking for something to replace.

Huge disappointment
27 July 2021

I bought my 9in1 through Qantas with my points. It arrived in good condition. No receipt, so I can not have any warranty. No cheese gadget either. Our family has found this huge appliance very difficult to use although the rice we cooked was OK. I find the little instruction book very confusing. The recipes in the book are very poor indeed. Nothing helpful on YouTube. This is not worth buying at all, even if you use some type of points.

It broke
5 October 2022

It broke just after warranty. I bought it for the versatility of having a bread maker and rice maker together but the rice mode stop working, my cheap rice maker for back-ups is 7 yrs old very well use and its still working perfectly while this one just broke after 2 year and 4 months old. I called breville and they offered a 50% dcto in a second unit but I cant buy a second one.

Multicooker/multi machines
30 January 2022

This was given to me as a gift 1 year ago. It worked great for 11 months I lived it and used it often, one day it suddenly stopped working, like it was recoeving no power. I returned it and it was replaced with a new one. The new one lasted 4 days before it too, stopped working. This time it's has all the sounds but nothing on the display panel It came with lots of extra bits. The bread pan needs to be bigger and it should have multiple bowls. 1 for deep-frying and one for cooking in. I'm unhappy, because it was given as a gift noel leeming won't return the money for me to buy something else where. This was purchased on sale and everything else similar at noel leeming is double/triple the price and I am expected to pay the difference cause no other products are on sale.

What a wonderful little appliance!
27 December 2021

We purchased this appliance to save on space as we are travelling around in our caravan. So far we love it and use it daily for cooking all sorts of things. It makes lovely fluffy rice, steams veggies well, the slow cooker works perfectly, we have mixed and baked a cake with good results, made pasta sauces using the sauté setting to brown meat and onions (this is a little slower than in a pan but gets there!), then the soup/stew setting to finish the sauce after adding liquids and veggies etc. Haven’t got to deep frying, bread, jam or cheese making yet, but so far it has done as promised well and been great value for the price. Also a shout out to Appliances online too for a easy hassle free experience, happy customers here!
