Due to my interest in First Nations art this range was recommended to me.It did not disappoint!The piece is not only a lovely appliance to use; lovely grip handle, soft open and a gentle whistle….. it is also a design masterpiece highlighting indigenous art work in a touch sensitive style.Each of the dots of the painting can be felt.Pride of place in my kitchen and such a talking point!

The kettle has a elegant luxurious quality, the comfortable handle feels balance and lightweight with a solid grip and feels secure. The lid opens easily with a soft elegant opening, has a light touch control with audible alert that the water has boiled which is handy. The wide spout pours easily and looks great, the base is non slip and allows the kettle to be placed on any position 360 degrees. Highly recommend this kettle to purchase.

Perfect. Looks great, actually the sea salt colour is beautiful with a pearly appearance. I love the dual water gauge feature and the little ping as it turns itself off so you know its ready when youre busy multi tasking. The soft top open feature gives that extra feel of (something a bit special). Pours really nicely. I am super happy with my purchase.

Only had for a couple of weeks, but very happy with this good looking and robust kettle. Good capacity. Reasonably quiet and has a gentle ding when finished boiling. Bit of blue light bling around the on/off button. Soft opening top to refill is a wee bit slow to open, but very minor problem. I hope it is still going in months/years to come.
We bought this kettle and matching toaster prior to moving into our first home. We loved the luxurious aesthetic and feel. Unlike some other people in the reviews, I felt the colour was accurately depicted with the exception of the water gauge which is just ridiculous in the online image. It is correct you can barely see it. After a couple of months, the silver coating started to peel off the “chrome” parts of the kettle so we returned it for a replacement. Now we’re about a year into the replacement and the actual blue coating as started to peel and bubble around the lid. An absolute waste of money.
We were looking for a new kettle for our new home. As soon as we saw the Breville Soft Top Luxe we were immediately drawn to its elegant style, it stood out from other kettles on display and the satin black finish looks brilliant in our predominantly white kitchen. The other feature we were looking for in the kettle was quiet operation, but as we couldn't test that, we bought it on looks and perceived quality of the Breville brand. We were delighted to find, when we first used it, that it was considerably quieter than any previous electric kettle we have owned, so we are extremely happy with our new purchase.
As soon as I walked into Harvey Norman, I saw the bright deep yellow one on display and loved it at first sight, the handle is lovely to hold with its curviness and is big enough to feel nice, a lot of other kettles, the handle felt undersized and square, but not this Breville. Soft opening lid is nice, if you need to top up straight after boiling so it lets the steam out more gently rather than getting a face full of steam like many others. Boils reasonably quick, makes a nice subtle ping when it is boiled. I don't why but all kettles seem to boil too long once it reaches boiling, it can't get any hotter. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because the water level can be hard to see, I hope Breville do rectify this on their next model. But all in all excellent.
For the price of this kettle I would expect more. Mine was great at first but after a few months the button to open to the lid kept sticking and wouldn’t open the top and now after a year and the warranty being out the button has broken off and now I can’t open it to fill it and I have to fill it from the spout which is very annoying. It heats the water fine but once or twice I came back to it to find a puddle of water on my bench and I’m still not sure where it came from. It’s was a good kettle but I don’t expect that after a year it should be breaking apart. I had my previous kettle before that for 11 years and was completely gutted when it broke. I now need to buy another one which at the price of these I shouldn’t have to do after a year of owning it.
My Breville kettle has been through so many happy times, sad times and special moments.For probably 20 years it’s been my constant go to and has never let me down, quick and efficient exactly there when I need it. Reliable and constant!Having to say goodbye was like saying goodbye to a dear old friend, so very hard to do.So without hesitation I’ve got myself a new version of my old faithful to continue with the amazing level of service I have been given by my old friend. I’m sure it too will shine to the level of service and reliability I’m used too for a very long time. Thank you Breville
Bought this a few weeks ago as our existing kettle was leaking though the side-view window. The Soft Top Luxe is a nice upgrade, but like other reviewers have noted, it is a little on the noisy side.The colour is pleasant and fits in well with our kitchen and it looks quite modern and timeless. I am a little apprehensive about the single mounting point for the handle, opposed to a two point fixed handle. Time will tell as to how well the single-point holds up to use and if/when it fails...Again, like others have noted, the side-view window is abysmal and you can't see the water level well at all. I'm sure the designers could do better.The chime is a little pointless, but I guess a reminder of when the kettle is at peak boil if you walk away.Overall a nice ...
