Great fans. used them in pat boats and loved them.These recent fans have a round cylinder about 2 inches from the fan housing and are in the way for pivoting and overall clean appearance once mounted.

Easy to install, I bought 3 to replace burned out fans on my boat. Wire ends do not have terminals, so I used heat shrink butt splicers to attach to original wiring. Dual speed, blade won't cut your hand if accidently touched. I would buy them again.

These fans are the lowest cost with the simplest design. They are easy to clean and tend to run quieter. They look smaller because there is no rattling cage around them. They have great airflow. We replaced all our fans with this style and we love them. Keep it simple.

Great fan for my campervan. Just enough "background noise" to aid sleeping, moves a lot of air for its size - on low provides enough breeze across the bed to sleep in NW Florida heat/humidity. Highly recommend this fan to anyone.
In 1987 we purchased one to use to help move air into the rear of our station wagon. The station wagon has been long gone. But, we still have and use our little Caframo fan but now in our boat cabin. We were delighted to find this fan still available and ordered another one to help move air through the cabin of our sailboat.
....they are great fans. For those that are afraid of the open blade, don't be. The blade is designed such that if you do hit it, it deflects and you simply stop the fan from turning. In fact, I frequently stop the blade with my hand to change speeds when the I've turned the fan in such an orientation that the switch is not easily accessible.The reason I chose these is because they move more air than any comparable fan I've tried and do so at a reasonable amp draw when one is at anchor. They are not the quietest fan, but anyone who truly understands airflow knows there is no such thing for a fan that actually moves adequate air.I really want to give these five stars, but there is one issue. I think the venting of the motor allows dust inside and causes vibration. This vibration is exacerbated in an area such as a quarterberth if the mounting is to a headliner rather than a solid bulkhead...it can sound like a drum at high speed. At that point, I replace the fan. I've not had to replace many, but it will happen. Given the amount of air they move compared to other fans, I accept this tradeoff. But I do wish the company would change the motor venting design so they would not vibrate quite so quickly.
Great fans for air circulation. Haven't had same experience as others. After 3-4 seasons of nearly continuous use, one failed due to brushes and one stopped working, blades will not turn. Replaced with same fan as we like them. Blades are easy to clean and love that they are finger safe.
Quiet & Breezy. Not happy with the ferrite core permanently mounted so close to the motor. Cannot mount the fan without seeing the core on the cord. Should have used a hinged core that you can mount where you want it.
We needed a fan to place in our V-berth and this one just works. On high it is makes a little noise but not bad. It moves the air on low just like we want it to. If you get your hand in the blade it just stops it doesn't even hurt your hand.

The clip mount is a very popular version and would be easy to offer as an alternative choice. The fan is way too expensive for what it is. I paid $70 for the fan and $16 for a clip-on mount.
