After buying about 4 different types of straw cups/bottles and 6 different types of sippy cups, I probably spent over $100 total in cups that claim they were leak-proof and donāt spill and not a single one was leakproof. These included the take and toss, munchkin straw cup, the 360° sippy cups, some Nuk cups, etc. THEY ALL LEAKED or will spill if accidentally thrown by a toddler. This bottle was an impulse buy because we wanted something for an international trip with our 15-month-old. Instead, we use this bottle every single day now because it TRULY does not leak. The spout is a bite-and-suck spout which is genius because that limits the spilling. Even when thrown, tossed, or dropped! I canāt recommend this cup enough and I plan to buy another.

I got this water bottle for my daughter and she loves it! She is three and can open and close it easily by herself. It gets tossed around and travels with us most places and has not spilled. We use it almost daily and it has not shown any wear, so is quite durable as well. When it first arrived, we could not drink out of it because it was missing a hole. I tried to bite it and squeeze it but still wasn't able to get it open, so was sure that we were sent a water bottle with no opening. After a quick google search, I read to put it under water and squish it back and forth between your fingers. This finally worked, so figured I would share this tip here for others as well!

I wanted to love this cup, I really did. I got it all opened and washed and then filled it up for my child. My poor son was so frustrated by this cup and couldnāt get anything out. So I gave it a try and couldnāt get anything out either! It was then that I realized the hole in the straw where a drink is supposed to come through was sealed. Once I pushed it open I could get the drink out, however my child couldnāt quite figure it out. To drink you have to kind of bite down to open the straw and suck and although I like that because in theory it would leak less, my child couldnāt figure it out.

The bottle is fine. The reason I am rating it three stars is that I prefer the old style of bite valves for these bottles (though this style is fine too), and because I wanted to buy replacement valves in fun colors for my new exciting hot pink bottle, since the valve it comes with is boring, plain, clear and colorless... but the problem is that I didn't realize that the colorful replacement valves Camelbak sells are *only* for the old, non-plus bottle, and are not compatible with this bottle because the straw hole is the wrong size... even though they're otherwise almost identical, including in name.Camelbak only sells colorless replacement valves for this bottle, and you can only get two in a replacement pack, vs the four in the pack for the old bottle (and it ...Ā MoreThe bottle is fine. The reason I am rating it three stars is that I prefer the old style of bite valves for these bottles (though this style is fine too), and because I wanted to buy replacement valves in fun colors for my new exciting hot pink bottle, since the valve it comes with is boring, plain, clear and colorless... but the problem is that I didn't realize that the colorful replacement valves Camelbak sells are *only* for the old, non-plus bottle, and are not compatible with this bottle because the straw hole is the wrong size... even though they're otherwise almost identical, including in name.Camelbak only sells colorless replacement valves for this bottle, and you can only get two in a replacement pack, vs the four in the pack for the old bottle (and it costs $2 more for the eddy+ replacement valves... so not only is it more boring, it's also more expensive to replace the valves.)I thought I might at least be able to buy the old model of straw separately that would fit the colorful valves so I can still use them with this bottle, since the valves themselves actually do fit in the new lid, it's just the straw that doesn't fit... but Camelbak does not sell straws for the old bottle on their own, as far as I can tell, and while all other valve replacement sets come with straws, the old model of valves don't unfortunately.I cannot even buy a replacement cap for the old bottle to use the straw from that, because it's no longer in stock. (I feel bad for people still using the old bottle who might actually need a replacement straw...)So my only option, I guess, is to get a refund on the incompatible replacement valves and be stuck with the clear, colorless bite valves that this bottle supports. If I had realized that I am not able to use colored valves with this bottle without buying a different bottle color, I honestly probably wouldn't have bought the bottle at all. I'm very frustrated that I can't buy blue (or any other color) valves that will fit the straw from this bottle. I don't understand why the color options are so limited or why Camelbak doesn't sell replacement valves in any of the colors that do exist for this bottle (like the green ones from the jungle animal bottle for example), because clearly it's possible to make them in fun colors. And it's frustrating that the replacement valves I can buy for this bottle, beside being ugly and boring, are also essentially twice as expensive because they come with straws, especially when I know the valve is the part that will wear out first. I've never had a straw wear out. So I have to pay two dollars more for half as many valves and two straws I probably won't ever need, and I can't even get a nice color like blue or green or pink. :/Normally I don't complain about these kinds of things but I'm a little frustrated by this seemingly arbitrary limitation.
I bought this for my nephew who always has a water bottle (at school, at grandparents' etc.) with him. His teachers call it his 'emotional support water bottle'. I got the 'sharks & rays' one for his birthday and it was perfect because they were going to the aquarium next day.I like that it is dishwasher safe, leakproof when closed and spill proof when open. It just took him a little bit of getting used to, because this has a bite valve vs. the suction straw ones of his other ones.I know replacement bite valves are available but they frequently sell out.
My daughter carries a water bottle around at school. I have been careful about using plastic bottles and have tried keeping her hydrated with stainless steel bottles which she complains are too heavy. I tried a glass bottle with silicone cover and that was a foolish decision I quickly learned fromā¦it broke on day 2. So I gave in and looked for something that was bpa free, a fun design (her requirements) and easy for me to clean. Thus far, this camelback water bottle has endured her literal throwing it around, light enough for her to carry and not complain and easy access for me to thoroughly clean. All in all, this is a win.
The Camelbak Eddy+ are our favourite drink bottles. The 0.4L Perfect size and weight for toddler hands along with the easy carry handle. We have got a few of these bottles in different sizes now for the whole family. The funky colours and patterns in the range make it easy for my kids to identify which bottles are theirs. 99% leakproof unless you accidently leave water in the upper straw section. To clean they are easy to pull apart, the straw is wide and easy to clean with a pipe cleaner and we chuck it all in the dishwasher. It's also BPA free š. They also fit in our cup holders in the car which is a biggie for me š. Big fan
I really like this water bottle. It is definitely perfect for toddlers ages 3 and older. I really love the size of this water bottle. It is very easy for my little one to hold and operate. I also really like the soft spout on this. It is soft enough that it does not cause harm to her teeth since she loves biting on everything. This water bottle is definitely perfect to have in the car because it is leak proof. This water bottle is very durable and has not broken or cracked after being dropped. You can definitely tell that this water bottle was made to last. Another great thing about this water bottle is that it can fit perfectly in a car seat cup holder. This is a really great product to take to school, on hikes, road trips or just using it as an everyday cup. I ...Ā MoreI really like this water bottle. Happy that these are still around! We have purchased many for our son who is five years old. However that also means that they do only last three or so months before the bottom is a bit shredded from being bumped against concrete floors and sidewalks at school to being dropped and rolled around. The regular Kindergartener wear and tear. What I do like is that I can fit my bottle brushes easily in to clean and that itās easy to label this bottle with a permanent marker or waterproof label. The handle is handy and sturdy, perfect for small hands or a carry clip. The width of the bottle is perfect as well and fits nicely in our car and car seat cup holders.
