Ive had the Explorer 60, 2 burner for years. Like it very much and have done a lot with it. Down side is its a bit heavy and bulky, with the 2 burner flat top, to take on the road for camping. So, got the Explorer 30 and already had the 14” flat top. Its done everything weve needed (burgers, eggs, grilled sandwiches on flat top, stir fry using a wok or flat top, and fried fish using a cast iron pot). The attached side table makes it near perfect and its much lighter for transport.Next, gonna try it for pressure canning as you can turn the heat down to required btu’s for that.The Explorer 60 will remain a more permanent fixture and the 30 will go places.

Received in record time of the next day after ordering awesome. Well packaged no shipping damage. Assembly was less than 5 min just attach legs. Bought it for canning using pressure cooker, and water bath, works great. Cooked steaks on it in a cast iron pan and came out tender and moist. Works very well as a WOK burner. Can control flame to a very low temp if needed. This is an all around great heat source, love it. Getting rid of my 2 burner Weber gas grill, no longer need it. I will be getting other attachments for this burner.

So far so good works well with my skillets and discada. Hopefully soon also I will test it with a large pot. For now it is light portable and works well for what I need it for. Haven't used it in a very windy place yet so no issues with it staying lit as of yet. overall pretty happy with this purchase.
Factory problems with no factory help. Heat control hasn`t worked right from day one. Camp Cheap says it`s a regulator problem but regulators not covered under warranty. No reason why available. Factory service person clueless about products. Don`t Buy.
I use this burner every time I hit the lake. For small jobs it works. I use a single burner flat top. Just make sure you get the right one. They have different sizes and fallow the color flames on the box. Ive used it for fish fry's. I use a Mexican disco. For storage I just put it back in the box. Its a little bulky but for me it works. If you're looking easy storage or for small jobs use the butane burners.

This single burner is great by itself or in combo with a two burner or another single burner for weekend camping. You save the room on your picnic table and the power of this stove boils water in a jiffy for coffee and cooks up breakfast for six in a jiffy using the single burner griddle (sold separately) on medium low heat. We very rarely use our table top stoves anymore - the quality at 30k BTU output more than makes up for the added bulk if you have room. Get yourself a two burner with griddle and bbq box and save this one for pans and coffee making on an open flame so you don't have to swap out accessories. I also have the pro 90 three burner which I originally struggled with the price but was extremely pleased with. That grill and stove is about 8 years old and still works well and shows reasonable wear for its age. I ordered this smaller stove and grill for easy transport, I will bring the other if a crowd is expected. That grill was stored in my Rv and used in oceanside beach sand every other summer weekend since purchased. The materials used on the 30 including the cast iron grilling surface is the same as the pro90. I kept the other cast iron oiled so it stayed perfect. With the legs on the new stove and grill on top, it stands at a good cooking height and feels more study than the 90; probably because of it's size and individual legs. The pro30 has one knob to adjust the temp and an air flow adjustment right behind the knob along with the standard gas regulator. The grill size would accommodate about 5 hearty burgers or 2 decent sized steaks, probably not a good size for a large group of people that want to eat at the same time. It will do the job for what I will use it for, a lobster cook or grilling for 2-4 people while cooking the sides on the Rv interior stove. This' grill feels like cooking on a small commercial grade grill rather than your standard same size non-cast iron surface. The video gave me a good visual and the actual products are what I pictured after watching. Bottom line; very good experience with the pro90 3 burner and the same, if not more, sturdy structure on the pro30. The time I expect this to last and cooking quality by far makes it a good value in comparison to buying a new 50 dollar (inferior) grill every two years as I experienced prior to the purchase of the camp chef products. By the way this product was delivered in the promised time by outdoor cooking and camp chef packaged the grill and stove very well for shipping. Oh yeah, get the carrying bags.
We have a two burner camp chef with grill box and we like it so much it has become our regular grill. So we bought this one for camping, since it's lighter and more compact. And now we don't have to pack up the other one for camping trips. The grill box fits on it perfectly. It's really stable and we love the shelf for utensils, seasonings, etc. This is perfect for camping because it's so versatile. We can use a frying pan or a pot on the burner. (We also have the griddle.) Or we can use it as a grill. Can't wait for our next excursion!
Overall Camp Chef burners are good but they ALL have one BIG problem. The burners can be used almost anywhere, which is good. BUT, 90 % of the time the ground is not flat. How do you level these things ? There are leveling screws on the legs. ???? Even fridge and stove manufacturers use levelling screws. How is it that Camp Chef never got that memo ? I phoned Camp Chef and got a girl with a snotty attitude. She said that you could buy those as an option. Levelers aren't listed in any ads. OPTION ??? Do fridges and stoves have levelers as an option ? What's next ? Airplanes with wings as options ?
