The keys are too sensitive. Pianos are not like that. The keys are so lightweight that if you accidentally touch it while playing it makes a sound. Whereas on a real piano the keys are much harder to click. So when you come to a real piano you will be surprised at how hard the keys are and it takes some time to adjust back. Size is ok. But not enough keys so ultimately I still need a bigger piano.

Lightweight. Battery powered. 61 keys. Zero pro-level features. If you can actually play the thing, it will provide a several dozen very nice, very recordable sounds. It's not a Korg or Roland Workstation, but that being said, for what it costs it delivers with both hands. (And if you have one of those, you don't need this.) You won't ever have to wonder if this thing was worth the pittance you paid for it. I personally love the form factor and the ease of use. Pick it up, play it anywhere. The sounds? Well, I've recorded with them. And they sound just fine. I don't need: the how to play material, the dance beat generator (although it's cool, some will love this), or most of the preset rhythms. If Casio made a Casiotone Pro with the same sounds, but dumped the beginner features and gave us some control over the parameters and a sequencer, I'd be first in line to buy it. The Casiotone brand brings some expectations to the table, and this unit does not dissapoint. The organ sounds and the Mellotron-ish presets alone make this a keeper for the price. If you approach it within its considerable limitations, it will serve you well. I'm giving five stars because of the price to value ratio, which is just ridiculously high.

I had what I call a baby keyboard before because there is no comparison this is simply the best keyboard for home use. I come from a family of music lovers and a few talented musicians and learning to play a keyboard has been on everyone’s wish list. I love all the options with this one, not just background music but the ability to change how the keyboard sounds. I love the piano sound best for the keyboard and I love the actual songs already loaded to choose from to play along with. I found that Casio has an app called Chordana Play that can be loaded to a tablet or phone to teach you how to play. The keyboard actually has the ability to plug your tablet or phone in to it so you can use the app with the keyboard to make learning even easier. The keyboard has a ... Plug in your own pedals or microphone and you are ready to really take the keyboard to the next level. I am not quite ready to join a band but my kids and I are definitely learning how to change the sound of the keyboard and how to actually play. This is a great board for beginners or anyone who already knows how and with the ease of adding accessories it is the best one I have used.

So pleased with this little piano, just what I was looking for! Keys have good response, sound is great, headphones are even better than expected. Downsizing from an acoustic piano, so was concerned if i would like an electronic keyboard. Will just mainly be using piano sounds, but it is capable of so much more!! The music stand is strong %26 love you can carry it with built in handle. I recently retired so am rekindling my love for playing, already have purchased some sheet lessons, this little Casio will give me just what I need, plus some extra fun features to experiment with!
I must say I really love this keyboard. I had the casio ct-s300 but for some reason I love this one better. The piano sounds better on this. I had no problem playing thus keyboard it feel great to me maybe because I am used to a acoustic piano. I sold my Casio S-300 to a friend she teaches music and she said that the Casio S-300 is great for her students. I will keep this keyboard for awhile or less Casio decided to make the S-200 with a pitch wheel than I will trade it in. Plus I brought the Casio gig bag and everything fit perfect. Some people said it was too small my keyboard slides right on with no issues. I love my new Casio S-200 keyboard and gig bag. Thanks Caleb at Sweetwater for all your help.
Well, to start off; it came quickly and without damage. That is a Good start:-) It is a Very Nice looking piece of equipment. The heft of it is good and it feels sturdy. One can use Double AA batteries or an AC adapter, so that makes it more convenient to operate depending on one's needs at the time. One can also use this keyboard with another device through a USB cable. However, one is Not provided so it will be up to each to buy one or perhaps might have one already that will work. This was probably my only negative thought on this instrument because Casio is known for Quality products and one might assume for the nominal cost it would have added they could have included it. I as most everyone else enjoys some genre of music. That said, I am more than a little ... MoreWell, to start off; it came quickly and without damage. Going to have to pick up some music books to learn from and we'll probably bang around on this several times a month. It is also not very expensive so gifting this to someone you know is talented or wants to learn would not be a problem. Enjoy!-)
This review is for the Casio Casiotone, 61-Key Portable KeyboardWe own two other very nice keyboards besides this one, and I find that this one is the new family favorite. Reason being: portability! You can literally carry it around because it is not gaudy and heavy. You can even play it in your lap! I included a photo below of it sitting on my twin sized bed to give u an idea of its size. Yes it is big, but totally portable and we love this. Because sometimes you just wanna get comfy on your bed or couch and play. With our other keyboards, we have to sit in a chair and play them on their stands. So who would have known that portability is the new must have in a keyboard! It has two power sources; batteries or the option to use the adapter that is included. I ... I think having a battery slot is important because you can now play in the backseat of the car using your personal earbuds with the earbud slot (because remember it’s lightweight)I can’t emphasize this enough…portability! My husband is the big keyboard player in the house and he is loving this brand. The speakers are great, lots of tones with 61 keys and 60 songs. It also has a slot for a micro B USB to connect to other devices and use MIDI. All in all, if I had 50 keyboards in front of me…this one would be my go to. I highly recommend it and at this reduced price, why not give it a try?!
This Casio is ok if you just want to familiarize yourself with the keys and very basic piano, but you'll probably outgrow it pretty quickly.Pros:Lots of features, sounds, and rhythmsPortableCons:-Mediocre sound/speakers-Not touch sensitive/velocity sensitive. Piano is short for pianoforte which means the instrument should be able to play soft and loud. Because this piano lacks velocity sensitive keys, your ability to play expressively is almost non-existent.Overall, this instrument isn't badly priced, but it has serious limitations that will limit your learning and enjoyment. Spend 30-50 more dollars and get something better.
The title says CT-S300, but the model listed is theCAS CTS200RD PPK. I get that whomever listed this probably doesn't know the difference between a musical keyboard and computer keyboard but this is really misleading. The CT-S200 does not have touch sensitive keys meaning that they always play as the same intensity. That was the biggest reason for getting the CT-S300 over the CT-S200. That's on me for relying on an electronics store for musical instruments.
