With a push of one large button at the 3 o'clock position, you can check your position with its Compass. The temperature can also be measured easily by pushing the button at 4 o'clock. This model has been developed with operability in mind so that anyone can intuitively check their position using the Compass, even in the most extreme climates, without visual observation. The dust and mud-resistant button guard cylinder structure prevents fine sand and mud from getting into the buttons while also helping to absorb any shock to the buttons and improving operability. I love this watch. It has lived up to the G-Shock name. I was a bit worried about the analog movement keeping accurate time since I am always working outside. I spent the entire weekend torture testing this watch (hammering nails, digging 6-foot deep post-holes, mixing and pouring concrete, splitting firewood). Even with all of these high impact activities, the watch didn't lose a second. The compass works very well too. Really easy to read with the second hand pointing North. It is nice to have a watch that looks this good and also performs flawlessly. I would highly recommend to any outdoorsman.

Unbeatable price for a perfectly legible and exceptionally comfortable watch. Resin face looks a bit cheap when you really look but at $29. 95, you can’t complain. The band is a sleek brushed stainless steel and can be easily adjusted to fit a wide range of specific sizings.

A great looking watch but you need to have your wits about you when purchasing from platforms like eBay! The reason being the GG-1000 is the most copied G-Shock ever. Counterfeiters will sell you a very convincing copy of a GG-1000 in a genuine-looking tin and even a kosher-looking handbook. They dont tend to include the cardboard box or warranty card. Features to check: poor backlight, fast-moving function dial, poor or no lume on the hands, inaccurate compass, blurry dial features, etc. Check YouTube for a comparison! Watch has now been superseded by the GG-B100 but this piece - to my eye - looks better.
Absolutely love this watch, from the excellent packaging to the look and features. It sits well on my small -medium wrist, the band is quite comfortable, and for it's size it doesn't feel heavy. If I have one small gripe with it, it's the fact that the date is displayed as month then day, as I would prefer day first, then month. Apart from that it's an awesome watch. Very happy with the purchase, and quick shipping.
Great Watch. I have wanted this Casio G Shock watch for some time. It was worth the wait. The wristband has a comfortable adjustable strap. I can read the day, date, and time. Has a button to push for illumination at night. It is stylish to me and very good in any environment. It has large easy to read 12, 3, 6, and 9 numbers. World time if needed. The watch is on the larger side. It fits under my long sleeve polos I wear. A+++

First off I absolutely love the way it looks, as with most watches pictures just don't do it justice. It has all the features you'd expect from a g shock plus the added dual sensor with a compass and thermometer. There is a more expensive triple sensor version of this watch, that has solar charging as well as a altimeter and barometer, but for about twice the price this one fit my budget a lot better. The solar charging would have been nice, but the altimeter and barometer I probably would never use. The Lume on this piece is a welcome addition that I think all g shocks should have, and it works very well although it doesn't last quite as long as my citizen or seiko. There is a built in white led illuminator that does the job nicely, although it would have been perfect had they included a backlight for the digital screens. The lcd screens are very clear and easy to read, I love having the dual display as well. If you are looking for a really nice gadget watch but don't want to spend the $600 to $700 on the triple sensor version, I would highly recommend this piece, or maybe check out the gravity master which is also a great looking watch for around the same price as this.
I like the watch, but the band was more for a kid or a teenager , Not an adult male. After a few days of showering and washing my hands it stopped working. It worked for maybe 3 weeks. It’s really inexpensive so I guess I lose out. Not knocking the brand, I like Casio a lot , but this watch model was a massive under performance

I run tracking dogs for a living which puts me in all sorts of weird and unpleasant environments on a regular basis. So far, this thing has held up beautifully without even a single scratch or run mark on it. Its functions are reasonably easy to read and I know the watch does at least a half dozen other tricks I havent even discovered yet. The land navigation features were what sold me on it since Im frequently out in the middle of nowhere. Itll serve as a reliable backup when my other navigation tools arent able to be used. This popped up on my feed and owning 2 G shock watches this one really caught my eye. It was a Casio site advertised at $350!! Copied the part number and googled it and Walmart carries the same thing for over $100 cheaper. No brainer right?? Delivered promptly and on my wrist as we type.
