My firs5 all metal G. I have small wrists and was worries this would be too big. So I bought three rubber straps for this just in case: slate blue, grey and black. The rubber straps don’t have to deal with the non-articulating end link, so can sit closer to the wrist. But I don’t feel this is actually necessary, and I love the bracelet. It may be one of my favorite parts of the watch. The blue/green polychromatic ring is stunning. This watch is certainly heavier than my resin GShocks, but it’s just fine when on the wrist. My only small gripe is that there is no battery indicator on the dial, which is true for all square Gs with Bluetooth. So you have to use the app to check the battery level. This is a poor design choice. I use and appreciate the Bluetooth app for more complicated features like reminders, world time, and the multi alarms, but battery level should be on the face. Always. Again, not unique to this model. Also, some people that have reviewed mentioned that the black text in the polychromatic ring is not legible. And this is true under many or most lighting conditions, but if you are familiar with square Gs, then you probably don’t even need that text. And it doesn’t bother me. Plus I picked this up at a great discount direct from Casio - 40% off, so I definitely think I’m getting my money’s worth. Extremely happy with this watch!

Beautifully finished with brushing and high polishing seems a little contradictory for a G Shock. But once you see it in the metal and feel the weight it just makes sense. I’m definitely going to wear it and not baby it. Any scars it pick up will just look right at home. The negative display seems much more legible than other models of G Shock I’ve had with this style of display. The only tiny grip is that this model does show the battery level on the display. It will alert you if it’s low but to see the actual level you have to use the app. But this is nit picking as my othe tough solar model once if got them fully charged they never drop below high on the level meter.

I have recently purchased GMWB5000MB and was very excited to receive my first G-Shock. However, this turned out to be a complete disappointment.I have only worn this watch on a very few occasions and have not done any physical activities while wearing the watch. The watch has never been dropped or hit anything. I have been extremely careful with the watch, but it already has big scratches on the mineral glass.Frankly, I don't even understand why a $600 price point watch would have mineral glass versus sapphire. I am completely disappointed in the quality of this $600 watch.

Overall I like the watch. Practically was a fan of the square series and was pleasantly surprised by the stainless steel variant. A little disappointed in the black finish of the steel bracelet as it will show white specs when scratched, which are distracting. Relatively easy to size the bracelet and remove links. The negative display is hard to get used to at first but it is another drawback of this watch. Legibility is not great compared to normal display esp at angles. Bluetooth and multiband 6 function as advertised.
A retirement gift to myself. I remember being in 3rd grade in 1983 and seeing a fellow kid wearing a chonky black G-Shock for the first time. How did he get one of those? I thought. . Anyway , Joseph Daniels. . still remember, showed it off to the entire class. . It was pretty cool. Yeah. . I owned a bunch over the years, replacing bands, owning them till the plastic decayed under the influence of years of Florida sun and pool chlorine. . getting the Shocks covered in paint splatter. . Blood at work. . I held nothing back, these watches were going to earn their keep, these were working watches, shop watches, yard work watches, pool swimming watches. . So, this is a bit of a treat , something special, for me anyway. It represents the long road , trials and ... MoreA retirement gift to myself. As for the service from Francis and Gaye, I am very happy the watch arrived well packaged and on time.As for the watch. It is hands down my favourite. I have circa 35 watches from Casio digital to Omega and usually when I buy a new watch I wear it for a few days then in the watch box it goes. Not with this. I was worried it would be underwhelming, especially as I have a number of g-shocks that cost a third of this. Boy was I wrong! In the week I have had this I haven’t taken it off once, in the flesh it is miles ahead of the cheaper resin g shocks. A must buy for g shock fan boys!
What else is there to say, its a great watch! What you see is what you get, very stealth metal build, comfortable tapered bracelet, works well on my skinny wrist despite the dimensions (lug to lug is the real one to look at). I also have the 'Combi bracelet' version of this watch but this metal one has Bluetooth and a similar but 100% better screen. The screen has much better legibility at weird angles and lighting, the backlight is also improved. Something i have not seen mentioned. Lots to love, I wear it every day!
This is an interesting spin on full-metal G-schock squares with bracelets, except this one is made out of carbon fiber. The watch is very light but not the lightest G-schock square (that honor goes to the venerable GWS5600). However, because of the carbon fiber lay up every component of the watch (case, bracelet, bezel, clasp) is unique from one watch to the next. The dark gray of the carbon fiber gives the watch a stealthy look. The sapphire with its coating makes this negative-faced G-schock much more legible than standard G-schock squares and that's a welcome feature. Ideally, this watch should not have come on a bracelet, but on a strap. That way it would be much closer to the original G-shock ethos. A strap cannot be installed because of the case design and ... Ideally, the module should have more features that can be exploited through sub-menus.
The matte black on this watch is amazing. It's more of a graphite or gun metal color to my eye. The finish of the watch is why I love it so much. I hate finger prints and scratches on high polished finishes but this mattte black texture has none of that. The hairline finished bezel and pops of gold letters add all the flair I would really want out of a G-shock. The negative stn display is also very legible compared to casios standard lcd. Surprisingly the metal bracelet fits ny hand perfectly abd has just enough micro adjustment to really dial in the fit. absolutely love this square. If your more about sophisticated stealth this is definitely the full metal square to get shy of moving up to the ultra premium matte titanium squares.
