Wanted to use it for a while before a proper review. Now after few months (been using in the summer) I feel like know it well enough. This foundation does give an incredible dewy and glowy finish. It is like your skin but better - and moisturised! I am not sure if I recommended this to someone with an oily skin but for dry skin this is absolutely gorgeous. Like glass skin. It doesn’t look shimmery or oily, just glowy. I am 36 so gettinf closer to mature skin and this sits perfectly and stays on all day. Another win is the shade 5N which is perfect for me in the summer. This shade is so unique and never found a similar one from other brands. I have warm light olive skin that has golden overtone and is quite muted too. Unfortunately there is no shade option for me when I go paler as most of them are either too warm or pinky-orange on me. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for medium coverage foundation with incredible natural glow.

Believe the hype. I've used lots of different high end foundation products over many years. This has to be one of the best I've ever purchased. I have mature skin and this is not cakey and does not sit in fine lines and wrinkles. It goes on beautifully with a sponge/blender and, although not full coverage (I don't want full coverage) it makes my skin look and feel fantastic and is build-able. I was a sceptic: but am no longer one. This has to be one of the best foundations on the market today. I shall be purchasing this from now on. Buying a new, different brand of foundation can always be a bit hit and miss online. Let me start off by saying that I am a huge make up lover and user. I have tried so many different brands, from low-end drugstore to high-end luxury brands. There are many products that I love on that spectrum that I use on a rotational basis, depending on the look, I’m trying to achieve. That said, I’ve also use a couple of Charlotte Tilbury products before: Hollywood flawless filter and pressed powder. Both are part of my regular rotation because they do the job better than any other product of their ilk that I’ve used before. I used both kits plus my Hollywood, flawless filter, press powder, and the pillow, talk lipliner and lipstick to create a glam party look for my cousin’s New Year’s Eve wedding. My make up has NEVER been so flawless, nor has my skin looked so amazing! (And I have pretty good skin for my 48 years)! I cannot say enough lovely things about this foundation and all of the other products that I purchased via my two kits. Yes, CT is pricey, but it’s worth every penny in my humble opinion. I’m a CT convert for life - don’t ever change your formulas!!

This foundation has been a constant on my vanity for a long time now, and it is one of two foundations I use. This foundation is a hybrid of skincare and makeup and delivers both beautifully! The formula is a bit thicker as it is a very hydrating formula, but it feels like a soothing hug on the skin! I notice with this product in particular it seems to sink into the skin as well as snooth itself on top, as to give the skin a snoother appearence wherever texture may be present, which for many people with some texture such as myself this is a great callout. I also use my hands to apply my foundation so I cannot say if a brush or sponge would change how it dries down, but it seems to both become one with the skin as well as sit on top slightly. I also have pretty rosy cheeks naturally and I have noticed this product will sooth and calm redness and in my case, no color corrector has ever been needed! I just love this foundation and hope that this review helps someone trying to decide if its the right one for them! I highly reccommend at least trying it out or checking out a swatch next time you come accross a tester!
I had the Airbrush foundation before this in the palest shade, and while the shade match was quite good and the formula stable, I don't want full coverage matte all that often. The later foundations had no shade pale enough until this one. I tried the palest shade on the sample card - far too dark, but I like the coverage and finish, so risked the full size in the palest shade. I eagerly tried it - only just light enough but I could get away with it and it looked good on the skin. Until 20 mins later when I had turned orange. I looked like Donald Trump! (wait, is that what happened to him...) This is the worst oxidation I have seen in a foundation since the '90s, and it has put me off Tilbury base products for good. By the way, I don't have oily skin (usually accused of being the cause), mine is dehydrated tending to dry. If you have ever had a foundation oxidise (turn orange or dark) in use, try this in-store before you buy.
I have dry skin and this is the only foundation that always stays on my skin. Doesn't crack or sit on my dry-er spots and always, ALWAYS looked gorgeous on me. It gives this luminous finish and I don't need to use any highlighter or any enhancement underneath the skin. I have applied this with a brush or a beauty blender and it still never cease to amaze me whenever I apply it on my face. I didn't expect this to cover everything since it does only claim medium coverage.I would say that this foundation helps even out the skin tone and give that "better skin" but it does NOT eliminate darkness under the eyes, which is where concealer comes in place.I also want to clarify that this is NOT long lasting, if you expect this product to sit on your face for 8 hours, it ... MoreI have dry skin and this is the only foundation that always stays on my skin. (I never minded that, personally)I wish I can find another dupe for this product since it is quite expensive but I would say it is worth it because I can always rely on it whenever I feel ugly.
I was very happy with Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wonder, but when Sephora stopped carrying it, I tried this Beautiful Skin. I found it okay, but ultimately went to the CT website to get the last of their Light Wonder in my #4 shade. So I have a good point of comparison, having gone from LW to BSkin and back to LW again and using up the full tube/bottles of each. I found Beautiful Skin to be a bit heavy and flat for me. Light Wonder was my first light to medium coverage foundation after years of heavy coverage and it looked quite natural and glowy, but sufficiently diffusing of my flaws. BSkin did not look as good by the end of the day and did not start off looking as natural as I'd like. Even the promo photos look overly made up, but I had hoped the problem was just ... MoreI was very happy with Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wonder, but when Sephora stopped carrying it, I tried this Beautiful Skin. After a rather disastrous trial with the Hourglass Soft Glow foundation, I returned to Mecca to continue my foundation hunt. After speaking extensively with a consultant about my skin and experience with what I'd tried so far, CT's Beautiful Skin was recommended.Colour match: I generally sit in the fair/medium part of the spectrum (Estee Lauder 2C1/Hourglass shade 5) - the Mecca tool recommended shade 7 which surprised me as it seemed quite dark. Not a fan of CT's official foundation match tool which is based purely on subjective opinion. I ended up being matched with CT shade 4N in store which was absolutely perfect - my best match to date; you could not tell where the foundation stopped and my skin started. Not a fan of CT's official foundation match tool which is based purely on subjective opinion. I ended up being matched with CT shade 4N in store which was absolutely perfect - my best match to date; you could not tell where the foundation stopped and my skin started. Give it some time as the appearance does change from initial application.Formula and finish: designed to be hydrating, this left a very dewy, glowy finish. The formula was thicker than expected - reminds me of sunscreen. Ironic as this contains no SPF (but let's be honest - any SPF in makeup is negligible). The coverage is light to medium (more on buildability below) - it smooths skin/pores and covered up redness while my freckles still peeked through. The result is very pretty, natural, smooth, "my skin but better". I get excited to put this on for every day but also for fun on the weekends.Wear: I have combination skin - this was great on my cheeks with zero exacerbation of dryness or flakiness. My T zone gets quite shiny (even with setting powder) but a quick blot at lunch time makes things good as new. This is best suited for those with normal to dry skin. While from a coverage POV you can build this foundation up, because of the hydrating formula applying more has a tendency to make you more dewy (shiny). Combo skin can still make this foundation work but oily peeps will probably not enjoy it.Many say this foundation is not long lasting. As mentioned I needed touching up for oil but found it generally did well when I put it through its paces (heat, vigorous exercise). I think it looks decent by the end of the day but not flawless. While CT has used this on celebrities for formal events like awards and weddings, I don't think I'd be able to pull this foundation off for formal events.Price: Not cheapest but certainly more affordable than many high end foundations (also at 30 mL) which are priced higher. I use half to three-quarters of a pump for my whole face so can foresee a tube lasting a reasonable amount of time. Conclusions: while this isn't quite perfect for me (oil factor) I love using it. Smoothing, perfect colour and makes me look so natural and good. It's not quite holy grail status but it comes pretty close. Finally ok to retire the last of my old discontinued foundation and pass the baton on to Beautiful Skin!
As an ultra-fair cool-toned Scandi and the keen lover of the discontinued Magic Foundation shade Fair 00 that was an exact match for me, I was excited to try the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation in the shade 1N. Seeing that this new product was sort of a successor of the Magic Foundation - the perfect shade match of which I have not met in any other product - I assumed that the lightest shade would be as inclusive as the previous product range had been. Boy, was I wrong. The product itself is decent, if you can find a shade that fits you, but the shade 1N was crudely both too dark as well as a disappointingly murky grayish-yellow colour (that - to add insult to injury - also further oxidized on the face) instead of the wonderfully white-based cool pinky ... MoreAs an ultra-fair cool-toned Scandi and the keen lover of the discontinued Magic Foundation shade Fair 00 that was an exact match for me, I was excited to try the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation in the shade 1N. Sadly, I have no business enjoying the beautiful skin provided by this foundation because of the ridiculously marginalizing shade range. To provide context, I use the Hauslabs Triclone Foundation in 015 (lightest of the three listed here), Tarte Babassu Foundcealer in 8B Porcelain Beige, Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation in 0.05N (yes, two zeros) and these last two products are practically identical in shade and finish (points go to Tarte for being cruelty-free). Nars Sheer Glow in Oslo (not unlike all other Nars foundations in Oslo) is too dark to begin with and oxidizes even darker. I have abandoned the Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte Foundations in 0.0 Neutral Pearl for being too yellow and 0.1 Cool Cameo for being too dark and saturated/pinky/peachy.
I did not initially like this foundation when I first purchased it. I realized it was because I was incorrectly color-matched in-store to 6N. It just seemed too much. When I returned it and color-matched myself to 4N based on reviews of others with a similar complexion, I loved it! This foundation is buildable. On light makeup days, I place dots in my T-zone and then blend out. I receive endless compliments of people asking what I use on my skin and wanting to know the foundation I use. On work days where I do regular medium makeup, I use this and set with the Huda Beauty cherry blossom setting powder. Using a setting powder locks it in for me for the rest of the day. I go to the gym after work and no matter how much I sweat, I just appear "dewy" with my makeup still in place. I will likely bump up to the 5N for summer if it works for me. I am thrilled to have found such a broad spectrum of shades in this formula, which means I can continue to purchase through different seasons and changes with my skin. I cannot speak to how it does in photos because I haven't used it for that purpose, however, I do appreciate that it does not contain SPF so that I could use it in photos without flashback if I wanted to. Since my skin is so sensitive, I appreciate when companies do not include SPF in their product because it lets me choose my own SPF and still enjoy the foundation since most SPFs cause breakouts for me. CT really hit it out of the park with this one!
