Clean Reserve Rain Eau De Parfum Spray 50ml

I have always been on the 'casual' hunt for a perfume that suits my personality and that is as natural-smelling and subtle as possible. I've usually just settled on my shampoo or body lotion as being my 'scent' for the day, or sometimes I put a dab of essential oil on my temples. I really dislike the standard synthetic smell of perfume, so to be honest, I didn't have high hopes but I was SO pleasantly surprised! I love it! I looked up the notes and sandalwood is not actually one of them, but I'm probably actually just smelling the top and mid 'musk' notes. It is not over-powering and I've noticed a lot of people say that the scent fades too quickly, but this is what I actually like about it. It's so subtle and delicate and I feel like the perfume actually adjusts/adapt to your own body. I honestly can't believe that I finally found MY perfume!

CITRON FIG by Clean. Top notes: fig, lemon oil, ginger Middle notes: mint, cardamom, mandarin orange, copaiba balm. Base notes: sandalwood, cedar wood, musk. This is my go-to Winter citrus fragrance. When I spray it, it’s just this incredible juicy, refreshing lemon citrus on my skin. I detect some fig in the first hour, most of the time it’s a juicy citrus. As much as I love it, I would say this is a linear fragrance, it doesn’t change either direction that much. It’s a beautiful citrus, with a nice woodsy base to ground it and keep it out of “bathroom cleaner” territory. I quite enjoy it. Citrus doesn’t play well with my skin in the warmer months, so keep in mind, this is a review from a cooler temperature perspective. Longevity 3-4 hours. My favourite of all time. It's sweet, it's mellow, it's soft, but has enough oomph. Let me try to describe how it smells to me. First, it's sweet, but not a cloying cavity sweet. It's a fruit, soft sweet; the type of sweet that doesn't make you think of noisy highschool girls. Then, it begins to gain some depth and complexity from the ambrette. I love this fragrance because you can smell each note. There is this musky, slightly smoky ambrette smell that blends beautifully with the tobacco flower and it just compliments the pear note sooo well. The ambroxan at the end makes it soapy, clean, slightly airy and it just ooh i love it so much. A great body splash, not a great perfume.

I love Neroli so had such high hopes I had found a winner based on a sample I received. Even my husband (who never comments on my fragrances) really liked it as well, so I purchased the largest bottle. The scent itself is great for summer and the office; its just a very pretty and fresh fragrance, yet unobtrusive. Unfortunately, others’ comments about the weak staying power have proven true and I find it to be nothing more than an expensive body splash. An hour or two is the max this sticks around. (and yes; I’m sure it’s not just me going nose blind to it) Regrettably, as much as I like the scent itself, I will not repurchase or recommend to others for that specific reason. CLEAN has exceeded my expectations!!

Favorite Everyday Fragrance

This scent is a warm, sweet, slightly fruity scent that quickly becomes a skin scent within the hour (can still detect a soft pear note for a couple hours after spraying). It’s fairly soft and inoffensive, needing to be reapplied every few hours. (I’m not an over-sprayer normally. Most scents I only spray once on one wrist and am good for the whole day, but a lot of clean fragrances simply lack staying power. I have to spray this one four times 2-3x per day to get it to be detectable.) That being said, I did receive the sample rollerball from Sephora before buying the bottle, and to be honest, I preferred the sample to the full size spray. The scent lasted longer when applied as a rollerball. I gravitate mostly toward green, herbaceous, aquatic scents that lean a little musky or smoky. Pacifica's Enchanted Woods, JML's Wood Sage and Sea Salt, JML's English Pear & Freesia, and Santa Maria Novella's Cala Rossa are my current favorites, but I still found myself desiring something a little bit cozier. Recently I decided to seek out a perfume that smells similar to lilu and came across a Reddit post that swore Acqua Neroli was an exact match to lilu so I immediately searched for it.
