I have had a range of 2nd hand tents - all Coleman - and have watched them all stand up to some fierce weather. Coming home we did have to put the tent back up on a sunny day and hose down - air dry before packing back up as the mud from under the bottom was crazy bad. There is a definite knack for packing it down - and I recommend having a couple of cracks as once you get the method right - it is easy peasy. Next use - Wind - it literally tore roofs of cabins, and we were one of the two 2 tents that survied the weekend of wind in a caravan park in Gippsland. Every tent peg was in place before the wind picked up (I did buy better ones) and used the pegs it comes with for the holes in the plastic straps associated with the poles. We assisted many people trying to rescue their stuff after their tents (even more expensive ones) where ripped apart. Ours stayed solid, even though we were directly off the beach and limited shelter from a few bushes. So as long as you peg them down - they do hold up against the wind.Three room design really works for us (famly of 4) - adults room, kids room and middle area is kitchen etc. dining outside under veranda was possible, except in extreme wind - where having it down was the best option.we use zempire twim bomber and single stretchers in bedrooms.

+ves - inbuilt lights with individual room controls. Easy up (not quite as easy as the video). Spacious. Stood up to the heavy rain we had.-ves - awning doesn't work in the rain. Need extra poles and ropes to try and stop water pooling (or dont use it). Pegs bend easily, recommend buying more sturdy options. One way zip on doors.

This tent is amazing. Bought in early 2021, but only used in April 2022. We had to set up while it was raining, but because of its construction the inside was fairly dry and once the rain fly was on kept us nice and toasty inside. It's true what they say about the darkroom technology—really blocks out even the bright noonday sun, so imagine what it does when the day is stormy. So it is a good thing that this new upgraded version has its own lighting strip.Set-up was quick (though not as quick as the advertised 3-minute set up; then again, it was just me and my 10-year old daughter and we were no experts), beginning at 1:53 pm from setting up the groundsheet to 2:11 pm with the tent frame and rain fly all secured to the ground (just over 15 minutes). We were ... Other families camped around us had the same tent, and we had the same experience of it being really tough against the elements.

Brought this tent just before Christmas for our getaway in January. Was a little concerned that we wouldn't get it in time due to covid and delays in postage. The tent arrived in 2 business days. Was so impressed and relieved. I originally purchase a tent in Oct from a different company and was still waiting for it to come in stocks. Snowys definitely helped. The tent is excellent. So easy to set-up and put away. Front awning great for extra cover. The 1 thing that is amazing the lights in the tent. Lights up the tent so well. The darkness also helps with a longer sleep in and cool the tent.Very happy with my purchase and thank you snowys for the speed delivery.
We bought this tent over a year ago and it’s seem so rough conditions. ~Read lots of reviews before purchasing and were concerned about some certain issues that might be a manufacturer fault but we didn’t have any! ~ Camping in the scenic rim in summer is always hit and miss with intense storms and this tent has withstood 3 really bad storms with gale force winds and hail too. We’ve never had any issues with it, highly recommend! Has always stayed nice and dry inside and the awning on the front provides so much more space. Love the integrated lighting, it’s super handy.
Fast Pitch Tent with Plenty of Room This is one awesome tent. Perfect for a family of 4 with plenty of room to move about. The tent took me a while to setup for the first time. However, thanks to Ben and the Snowys team for creating YouTube content which helped providing tips in setting up the tent for the first tie. Once I got used to setting up the tent it takes me an average 30-35 mins from laying the ground sheets to pegging the last guy rope on full awning configuration. This tent takes me the same amount of time setting up our smaller 6-person dome tent! The darkroom feature works so well that it allowed our kids to sleep a little longer. The only time that our kids were woken up earlier was due to a noisy camper next to us. I hope Coleman will develop a ... MoreFast Pitch Tent with Plenty of Room This is one awesome tent. The only time that our kids were woken up earlier was due to a noisy camper next to us. I hope Coleman will develop a soundproof flysheet one day. 😊 The tent does not have hooks provisioned in the middle room for light. Also, the lantern hooks are too close to the wall on the outer 2 rooms. You may have to put a guy rope between the two lamp hooks in the side rooms if you want the light to be in the middle (see pics). Plenty of room inside the tent, we even used the middle room as a dining room when it rained on our last camping trip. On some reviews people mentioned that when the tent is setup in full awning configuration the zips on the door and windows on the flysheet leaks; some also mention that the water pools on the door. You can stop (or minimise) the leak if the awning is setup in a way that the water does not pool on the roof on the awning (see pics) TIP (if you are setting the tent by yourself): Once you have set up the inner tent, ensure that it remains lowered (the side steel poles not extended). Setup the flysheet on the inner tent and attach all the Velcro straps to the poles. This will make flysheet installation quicker and easier; also safer on windy conditions. Overall, it’s an awesome tent, highly recommended for a family of 4 (or even 6). It is a heavy tent so you will need 2 people to lift this tent, especially if you are putting this on the roof of your car. It’s a fast pitch tent so you'll be enjoying a beer or 2 quicker than you know it.
Given the original price, i would have expected better quality but it has some good features all the same. Issues: The flysheet does not fit properly and is hard to secure to the ground without extra long pegs. The inner is not measured/fitted properly and took significant effort to extend the frame pole to fit the locking mechanism. Inner material is extremely tight. The effort it took to put up the inner and then the flysheet does not make this instant or at least the videos that show how it is to be done make it look overly simple. The inner mesh is far too stretched to fit the pole frames at one end. The needs to be returned and replaced. Good points: Lights Dark covering Awning options
Tent was fairly easy to set up, but you definitely need another person to assist. (It is quite heavy in the carry bag, you may need 2 people to carry it.) I had my 5 yr old help with setting up the tent, but needed help when it came to putting on the fly. Tent pegs seem a little weak if the ground isn't really soft. Lighting seemed fine and had 3 different settings to it. I like that the settings can be adjusted differently in each room. Only used the tent once and had a zip/slider bust off one of the doors inside. Lucky there are 2 zips/sliders! The fabric holding the zip in place at the top, broke and caused the slider to fall off. Bit of a pain to get back on. Not good for your first set up and already something breaking! Obviously a cheap and weak material ... Other than that, I really like this tent. The dark rooms are good, nothing worse than being woken up by the light before you're ready.
We had our first outing this weekend in the tent. The 3 minute instant up took me more like 60 minutes. The tent support poles were in the wrong way round (known issue) so I had to unscrew and reinsert them. A poor start considering I stood in the rain the entire time fixing the tent without the waterproof flysheet. Once up I enjoyed the space, we effectively had a room at either end and stored all our gear in the middle. The tent is pitch black inside, you need to have the awning up or windows open to see anything. With the awning up water would leak in through the windows, probably need to rethink how I configure it next time. I fully suggest having a play with it at home before camping.
We took this tent for its first outing earlier in the month and were really impressed with it. We spent a lot of time deciding on which tent to buy and ended up choosing this over the Zempire aerodome 2 due to the lower price and small footprint. It was reasonably easy to set up, although I highly recommend watching the Snowys instructional video first. Putting it up and packing it down the second time was a breeze and I cant wait to have another go of putting it up at Easter. The key is learning how to fold the poles - the knuckles have to twist a certain way, which can be fiddly to get the hang of. Hubby was particularly excited about how easy it was to fold up to the correct size and get back in the bag (again, watch the Snowys instructional video for tips on ... Hubby was particularly excited about how easy it was to fold up to the correct size and get back in the bag (again, watch the Snowys instructional video for tips on doing this!) We upgraded the pegs, which I'm glad we did (although they were really hard to get out of the ground when it was time to pack up). We had horrendous wind but our tent barely swayed. One of the other campers abanded their tent and spent the night in ours! Happily there was plenty of space as it easily accomodates our family of 4 with room to spare. The darkroom is amazing! There are a couple of pinpricks of light that come through here and there and if you have the vents open at the bottom, some light filters through but it didn't cause an issue. One thing I did notice was that there seemed to be a lot of condensation forming inside the tent - more than we've had with previous tents. I opened the lower vents to help alleviate it, but would be worried about it getting cold when camping in cooler conditions. The lights were fab - bright enough to read by. I used a USB power pack, and my only concern was that the power pack turns off after a little while of not being used, so I had to turn that back on each time I wanted to use the lights. Next time I'll give it a go with proper batteries. The front awning is great - it is large enough to comfortably sit under, although it is annoying that because you have to zip it all down at night, you have to move your equipment under cover somewhere else. There are also a lot of zips - it takes a while to work out which zip does what, but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. All up - I'm really glad that we bought it and I cant wait to use it again.
