This has helped me tackle my dogs reactivity to our pool. Before she would just bark incessantly at the floating chlorine dispenser OR anyone or anything floating in the pool. This has really cut down on that behavior. She still wants to, I can tell, but she’s thinking about it. The reason I took a star off is because this stuff is massively overpriced.

This is a brilliant training aid which works as a distraction and/or deterrent for dogs and puppies. I've used this for years and our border terrier puppy is responding really well to it - barking, ignoring a whistle or call, or annoying my older collie, one quick blast and he comes running to see what I want! Always reward with praise or a treat. It also works for my collie who "sings" in the car!

We absolutely ADORE this product for our dog! She is a mixed breed whose dominant behaviours reflect her Australian Cattle Dog DNA, and when she gets fixated on something (our cat, our food, us) this Pet Correcter is the only thing we've found that can bring her out of the fixation. We tried the coins in a can, the clicker, a whistle, other devices, and this is the one to which she responds every time. We love that it's not harmful, it hasn't caused her any kind of startle or nervous behaviours upon hearing the sound, and it has enabled us to use verbal 'hisses' when we don't have it at hand to break her fixation. We love it, and so glad Petco carries it in the larger size!

I bought this for my puppy to stop unwanted crying in the car when I got out, he actually stopped before my husband had to use it. So decided to to use on any unwanted behaviour with our other dogs. Our second youngest is bad for just running up and down the garden barking at absolutely nothing ! One short burst stopped her in her tracks! Used it one more time and now I only show her the bottle and she stops. I also used it when someone came to the door as all three of the oldest run barking and barking to the door every time someone knocks one short burst and they stopped! I used it to stop my dogs jumping up at people and it worked so well. Don't need to take it out anymore but this handy size was great for portability.I used the bigger one to help with counter surfing indoors too which has also now stopped.I always made my dog sit or something afterwards and gave them a treat, and eventually they worked out this was more rewarding.

I have a 2month old Miniature Schnauzer who loves to bark. I had to correct it now while she is little because I stay in an apartment and I don’t want people complain that she barks all the time. It only took for me to use it 4 times for her to get the concept that barking at unnecessary things are not allowed.The trick is to do it immediately as they are barking. After you spray once say the command “Quiet”. Repeat multiple times or as needed when the barking occurs. For her to understand at 2 months old is incredible and her breed is known for barking a lot.
