Good value. Replaced O.E.M. tires on Trek Cross 700X38 with 42cc and like the change in the ride. Mix of road surfaces and conditions including crushed limestone to dirt trails, impressed with the quality and value of this tire for general riding purposes, not bush/rock riding. Appear to wear very well after 1000+ km.. Keep tire pressure at the high end of rating promotes a very smooth ride and excellent roll on asphalt. Cheers, F.

Anti-puncture tires

I was looking for a pair of non-expensive tires to replace the OEM tires which had given me two flats in the 24 hours. I saw the OEM tires were torn, and the size was 700-38C. The internal rim width is 19mm. I ended up purchasing a pair of 700-35(37) C tires. The clerk explained that the 35 is the internal width of the tire and the 37 is external. Those two new Continental tires fit perfectly with the rims and look much narrower than the original 38C. I like narrow tires since I mostly ride on the pavement. The most important is the tires have anti-puncture belts and I have no more flat tires since then.

These tires are the best. I installed these tires and immediately went on a 20 mile ride on a dirt and gravel trail, these tires are smooth as butter. The only real negative reported in the reviews was installation difficulties. In anticipation of this potential issue, I put these tires out in the hot sun for about 40 minutes before doing the install. After they were warmed up I mounted these tires with no difficulty at all, i didn’t even use a tire tool.

Awesome!

Made in India, but don't be fooled by that, it is very good quality. Was somewhat challenging to fit, which is a good thing, because what goes on hard, will come off hard too. You have to bend the whole tyre back and against the rim, so it will pop-on, but regular plastic tyre removal tools might have a hard time to lift it onto and over the rim. Rubber is medium to hard density, sticks to asphalt very well, light dusty/ rainy road is also safe to ride, light off-road too. Sand is not! Very good price at bikeinn.com, highly recommended for the right purpose.

Fast and Comfortable Tire

As others have said, these run narrower than spec; my 37s measured 33.5mm wide at the tread seated with no tube and the same mounted and inflated to 70psi on 14mm rims. YMMV but all reviews I've seen and my own experience indicate they run 3-4mm smaller than the number on the sidewall. Unlike what others have said, they mounted easily, just with thumbs, but that will depend on rim diameter.Great tire. Feels bombproof over all surfaces. Took the road bike to play on some gravel/dirt/rock roads. They don't handle gravel or sandy squish deeper than 1.5" or so very well, but that would be true of any narrower tire. They do fly through and over gravel and packed dirt pretty well.As for pavement, great handling, low resistance. Just chunky enough to give confidence on a wide variety of surfaces but narrow enough to still move the bike fast.Would buy again, especially for the price.

Good commuting tire and all around tire
16 June 2020

I've been using these tires for two years on an oldou talk n bike that I commute on. I managed to find them in 26". Two years, 3 days or more per week commuting in downtown. One flat. It was a bit of a fluke. A metal shard went into the thick center tread. I dug it out with needle nose pliers and still ride them. I decided to buy a 700x32 for my road bike. I use it occasionally to commute but mostly ride on the trails around Toronto. I have a roubaix with disc brakes and the clearance is more than ample for these tires. They are a softer ride than some other durable options. They roll fine on the road bike and you can get good speed on them. Not good stickiness for taking turns and curves fast. But it's not a performance tire. Like one of the other reviewers said, ... MoreI've been using these tires for two years on an oldou talk n bike that I commute on. I managed to find them in 26". Like one of the other reviewers said, expect to spend some time mounting it to your rims. I use two regular and one long tire lever to install them. I carry that in my flat kit too in case I actually get a flat. I also bought them for my spouse's commuter in 700x37. If you want a good all around multi surface tire this is an excellent choice. Ride is soft in the 26" size, feels good. Cushy enough in the 700x32. Give them a try.

Good, solid tire. Rolls well, resists flats.
23 August 2018

I had bought several continental tires before this one (in particular the contact plus). However, the contact plus seems to have changed the centre bead so that it is no longer continuous - so I decided to try this Ride Tour 700C Wire Tire. I've had this tire for about 2 months now and have put about 1,000km on it. I like the continuous centre bead - it rolls very well. The tire is "grippy" and doesn't slide out on dry or wet pavement. One reason I like continentals is that they are very puncture resistant (I never had a flat with the contact plus tires in over 10,000km). This tire is the same. I ride over a lot of very questionable stuff and have not had a flat. The only reason I'm not giving this tire a 5 star rating is because, unlike the contact plus, this tire does not have reflective sidewalls. I do a lot of riding at night and I like to be seen, so I'd love to have those reflective sidewalls on this tire.

I like it
26 August 2022

I am not a type of person that changed many tires. This is my first tire charge from my MEC hybrid Midtown bike. I've put on approx 2700-3000km on my Kenda K198 (which came with the bike) and was time to replace the rear. It was hard to compare because I've put on many km On my original tire. I know these continentals are low end tire but what more cane you ask for? I want a tire with minimum foot print on the road as possible, so these fit my requirements. Other commuter tires seem to have a flat spot with a bigger foot print which cause more resistance. This tire is the best bang for your buck for me. Also I picked this rider from others because the tread had a mixture between road and turning compared to others.

Mellifluous tires

Very smooth tires installed on my GT mountain bike. City and suburban street riding can't be more pleasant these Spring and Summer days. Sturdy and tough for any pavement as advertised. Well built and I give a grade "A" for excellent! Size 26" 1.75" Continental Ride Tours.

Odd . 42C MUCH SMALLER / narrower than a 37c !
26 December 2021

Bought online a pair of 28 x 42C to replace some 37 and 38C the bike came with , as wanted a bit more comfort ...cushion . The moment I've removed the wrapping I've noticed the tyres are very slim. Fitted one on the rim , measured and was actually smaller than the 37c left on the other identical rim ! Contacted the seller and exchanged 2 dozen of messages with 100% nonsense explanations, i.e. tyres not necessarily have to measure what it says on the size markings, not necessarily the 42 is bigger than the 37 a.s.o. So then bought the 700 47C and guess what ...these ARE approx 47mm wide , so same make and model does measure what the size says ! and were too big for my bike :( Silly experience with Continentals , so not buying these anymore.
