Corelle Country Cottage Cereal Bowl

It is Corningware. Either you like it or you don't. The size is nice and I like the fact that they nest together which makes storage easy. Corningware is a workhorse (not fancy) and can go in the dishwasher and microwave with no problem, they are relatively light and thin. I bought this batch to use as cat dishes, they are the perfect size for a kitty meal and fit nicely in my elevated cat dish stand.

Better cereal bowls!

The soup/cereal bowl that came with the set of Country Cottage place settings was a shallow, wide flange bowl that was attractive but too easy to spill and hard to get a good spoonful. These bowls are a good size, deep enough and practical for everything from soup to cereal and other things. These are a great choice for everyday cereal or soup and also salads. I like the others but these are more practical for everyday use, especially in the morning when you're not quite awake.

Excellent quality

I know they will last a long time. These bowls are used to feed toy breed dogs. They go through the dishwasher daily. I disposed of similar Corelle bowls that were 30 years old as the glazing was starting to wear on the edges. No complaints here. 30 years was a good run.

Great Value

We bought these kind of bowl 15+ year ago and they started to show the wear on them. We decided to buy a new set and we threw the old ones ago. Great value for what we paid for.

I may have to get more

I bought six to test them out but that's more of a formality than anything else since my mother's set never broke. These bowls work very well with small servings and for young children. I have no trouble washing them by hand or sticking them into the dishwasher. Food microwaves well in them. But I do wish that Corelle would consider adding part of the pattern in the center of the bowl like a tiny sprig with a blue heart. Something to dress it up and truly make the bowls a part of the country cottage set. I can understand that it's a little more expensive to add more patterns but you have to consider that we are going to staring at them for the next thirty or so years.

I needed these

Because of my arthritis I had to find lighter plates and bowls to use. A lifelong elderly friend of mine had given me dinnerware she had used for years, they were perfect shape, no chips, no wear that I could see. So when I went to buy new dinnerware I bought the same, Corelle. That was many years ago, they never break or chip BUT my grandson and grand daughter managed to drop a bowl each on the tile patio and they did shatter. So I used my computer and ordered new bowls. I also a year ago ordered larger bowls in the same pattern. Same quality, same pattern. Such a pleasure to be able to match the set after these many years. Thank You.

Love my country cottage.

I have had my country cottage dishes for over 30 years. I love them, they hold up really well. Over the years I have lost some 18oz cereal bowls. I believe I saw an ad on Facebook and checked out the site. I was happy to see you still had cereal bowls so I ordered 6. I also saw some 28 oz soup bowls on the site, so I ordered 4 of them. I am very satisfied with my order. I only have one issue, it took a while too receive them and I wasn’t given any tracking information.

Nice but size in pic is decieving

I live Corelle and everything about them. I grew up with them and my mother made sure I knew they were the best dishes ever. I got some when I got married but somehow ended up with Stoneware along the way...BAD MOVE. Although only 8 of those 48 pieces of stoneware are remaining some have chips and cracks. I am back to Corelle forever. :) The only reason I gave this 4 stars and my other reviews 5 is because the picture for the size is decieving. It is 18 oz but the sides are more straight up on the bowl compared some of the other 18 oz bowls for the other patterns. These stack higher and I have limited space. I really liked the blue band color with the green as opposed to the plain green on the watercolors bowl. One Flaw

I am very happy with the bowls. The colors matched well with the Secret Garden plates I purchased also. There was a flaw on one of the bowls as seen on the attached photo. My spouse wants me to return it for a replacement, but I didn't think it was worth the trouble. I purchased the bowls, plates and serving dishes to replace Corelle I had purchased 25 years ago. I hope these dishes last as long as the old ones did.

Perfect for young children

These bowls are the perfect size for young children! And, of course, being Corelle they are much more durable than regular bowls would be. If you’re trying to introduce your children to using real dishes or you don’t like the idea of them eating off of plastic, these are exactly what you’re looking for!
